The Question For The Week
"Summer is coming quickly - what 2011 summer release are you are most looking forward to?"
Wow....there are so many that I am looking forward to...but the one I am mostly looking forward to would have to be Kiss of Snow-Hawke's book in the Psy-Changeling series, ever since I started reading this series I have been waiting for his story so I am totally stoked!!!

New York Times bestselling author Nalini Singh's exhilarating world of shapeshifters and psychics is "paranormal romance at its best" (Publishers Weekly). Now comes the story of an alpha wolf named Hawke used to getting exactly what he wants--and of the only woman who dares tangle with him.

Since the moment of her defection from the PsyNet and into the SnowDancer wolf pack, Sienna Lauren has had one weakness. Hawke. Alpha and dangerous, he compels her to madness.

Hawke is used to walking alone, having lost the woman who would've been his mate long ago. But Sienna fascinates the primal heart of him, even as he tells himself she is far too young to handle the wild fury of the wolf.

Then Sienna changes the rules and suddenly, there is no more distance, only the most intimate of battles between two people who were never meant to meet. Yet as they strip away each other's secrets in a storm of raw emotion, they must also ready themselves for a far more vicious fight…

A deadly enemy is out to destroy SnowDancer, striking at everything they hold dear, but it is Sienna's darkest secret that may yet savage the pack that is her home…and the alpha who is its heartbeat…

Book Review-Lair Of The Lion

Lair Of The Lion
Christine Feehan
Leisure Romance
Paperback

THE BEAUTY
Impoverished aristocrat Isabella Vernaducci would defy death itself to rescue her imprisoned brother. Though fear formed a fist around her heart, she'd even brave the haunted, accursed lair of the lion--the menacing palazzo of legendary, lethal Don Nicolai DeMarco....

THE BEAST
Rumor said the powerful don could command the heavens, that the beasts below did his bidding ... and that he was doomed to destroy the woman he took as wife. It was whispered he was not wholly human--as untamed as his tawny mane and slashing amber eyes.

THE BARGAIN
But Isabella met a man whose growl was velvet, purring heat, whose eves held dark, all-consuming desire. And when the don commanded her to become his bride, she went willingly into his muscled arms, praying she'd save his tortured soul ...not sacrifice her life....

MY REVIEW
Summary:

Full of courage and strength she heads up to his valley, rumored to be ridden with lions, she knows she could very well perish, but desperation and fear for her brother keeps her going forward until she makes it to his home...his lair. Although Nicolae is lethal, Isabella, even though she fears him at times, starts to see the good parts of him, and slowly starts to fall in love with him, and put all her trust in him despite the danger that he poses to her....in her mind Love is powerful enough to conquer any curse that could destroy them....

The Hero (Nicolai De Marco)

Ever since his father turned on his mother in a moment of rage and where the beast overcame him, destroying his mother and almost his son as well...Nicolae is determined that he finds a way to break the curse, especially since Isabella is the first woman who is more loving and gentle and doesn't deserve to be torn to pieces by her husband. Hoping that she will be enough to save his soul....

The Heroine ( Isabella Vernaducci)
Isabella, has already lost her parents and the only family that she has left is her brother. Desperate to make sure to see him alive once more, she goes to the one man that is powerful enough to rescue him. Isabella, has lived in fear and on the run but even though his own people fear him, Isabella doesn't fear him as they do, she sees him as the man that he is not the beast that he can become, and hopes that her love for him will be strong enough...

My Thoughts
Lair Of The Lion is a single title by Christine Feehan, and as this is probably my favorite paranormal author, I couldn't resist reading it, even though its not a part of any of her wonderful series, this still had the same ring of sensuality, danger and intriguing plot....and having just finished it, was a bit disappointed to see it end. I could hardly keep myself away from this one and read it in only a few hours. Lair of the Lion is a story that takes place in the Italian Alps, and is mixed with folklore and definitely goes under the category of "Beauty and the Beast" where two people are consumed by a inflaming passion that turns into a powerful love...such a remarkable read and I am so glad that I was able to read this one. Definitely gets a score of 5 for me...there was nothing about this story that I didn't like....Feehan definitely held me captivated from beginning to end!!!

My Favorite Quote
"You haven't forgiven me yet, " he observed thoughtfully. "I thought we had dispensed with your unfavorable opinion of me,"
She managed her haughtiest tone "I see nothing in my behavior that would lead you to believe that. I was merely polite, as good breeding commands,"
"Really," His voice low, one eyebrow shooting up. Nicolai simply reached out, almost in slow motion, his palm curling slowly around the nape of her neck. Fire raced through her body at the touch of his lips on hers. Every muscle clenched tightly. His lips moved against hers, a slow teasing of senses, awakening her to a world of sensuality.

But he was like forbidden fruit. Ripe, delicious and tantalizing within reach. Was this how Eve had felt when she'd gazed at the apple? No wonder the poor girl had succumbed to the serpent. Leaning up again, she gazed into Edward's eyes for a long moment, then slowly touched her mouth to his.

My Thoughts
The Fires Of Paradise is the fifth installment in the Bragg Saga written by Brenda Joyce. This is the first book that I have read from this series, and from the first to last page I was enthralled and could barely set the book down for food and bathroom breaks. LOL This story was very stimluating and the characters were full of life, and the plot kept me on my toes and I felt like I was on such a thrilling adventure I could barely keep up with it. Such a blistering romance that singed me from my head to my toes and had me on such a rollercoaster of a ride...and I just loved every moment of it. The beginning of the story was a bit slow to get into, but once it picked up the pace a bit I could barely put this one down....A winner for Brenda Joyce!!!

My Favorite Quote
Lucy had never opened a can in her life. She wasn't about to start now. His attitude was irritating. She threw the can at him. " I refuse to cater to you," she retorted " For your information, woman are equal to men-in every way. So you can cook yourself,"
"Women are equal to men, huh?"He laughed " In every way? Really?"
"In every way. But I don't expect a backwoods person like yourself to be familar with liberal thinking"
"Oh, I'm real liberal," he said, still laughing " If you come on over here, I'll show you how liberal I am--and we can test out your theories of equality. "

Eleanor has always been looked on askance as 'the bossy American' by London society, the very antithesis of British virtue and propriety. Now, at the death of her husband, she has been appointed trustee to his estate, and the proverbial fur is flying. Infuriated, her mother-in-law sends Lord Anthony Neale to put an end to Eleanor's nefarious gold-digging ways.
Anthony and Eleanor clash immediately. He thinks she's a siren who uses beauty to entrap men. She thinks he's a haughty, cold English snob. Despite their initial misgivings, they are increasingly drawn to each other. But someone is threatening Eleanor, and as the break-ins and other malicious activities begin to pile up—it's Anthony who tops the list of probable suspects!

MY REVIEW
Summary:
Storme, has been on the run since she was fourteen years old, when her father and brother were viciously killed by breeds, she has been determined to make sure that what they are after now will never fall into their hands. But while she is on the run, she ends up being saved by Styx, who is wolf breed, but then she feels betrayed after a night of pleasure to be in the hands on Jonas and the other breeds who only want whats on a data chip, and are more determined than ever to get their hands on it. Styx knows where his loyalties lie, but after being with Storm, he knows that she is his mate, even though the bonding scent isn't fully there, but finds himself choosing between his loyalty to the Breeds or the one woman who makes him feel clean and whole....

The Hero (Styx Mackenzie)
Styx Mackenzie, as a Wolf Breed has suffered just as much pain and torture as his brethren have, and having freedom and being able to make a life for himself. From the first moment he touched Storm he knew he was lost, and that he would do everything to protect her and keep her safe from those that would do her harm. Even though his mission is to get the location of the data chip, his loyalties start to become divided when he starts to come to the knowledge that Storm is his mate and will do all he can to prove it and make sure to protect her both from herself and those that see her only as a prisoner and a pawn....

The Heroine (Storme Montague)
Storme has spent most of her teen and adult life in fear of the breeds and knowing the harm that they could do, having witnessed it firsthand when her family was killed right in front of her. Having been on the run ever since she trusts no one until she gets rescued by Styx and she knows that she must defend her heart from his advances because she fears losing herself if she falls in love with the sexy breed who is very different than any other breed she has known, and before she realizes it she wonders if she could ever fully escape from him when she craves to just be in his arms....

My Thoughts
Styx's Storm is the  22nd installment in the Breeds Series by Lora Leigh. I have just loved reading this series, and I have looked forward to reading Styx's storm since it first came out and I am so glad to have finally gotten my hands on it... Styx's Storm is a exhilarting ride of adventure, passion, and love. I found both the characters enlightening...both stubborn as ox, but both feel a connection to each other, and are unable to resist the sensual heat they feel, and they become swept up in the desire and soon they start to fall in love with each other, and such a beautifully written tale of how love can conquer fear, and a painful past. A heartwrenching story that will leave you breathless!!! A Unforgettable Read!!!!

My Favorite Quote
A new beginning. Storme stared back at her lover. Her mate. The man who had wiped away the fear, the misunderstandings. The man that loved her. His hand lifted, the backs of his fingers smoothing her cheek. "My perfect storm," he whispered. And he was her Styx. Her Heart.

Never a gentleman . . . until now.
Lord Bramwell Johns, the second son of a duke, is an unrepentant scoundrel. Now that his two closest friends are disgustingly ensconced in domestic bliss, Bram is feeling strangely restless. And not even relieving London's least deserving artistocrats of their ill-gotten jewels is enough—until the night he overhears an argument. It seems that Lady Rosamund Davies is about to be forced into marriage with a rogue even worse than himself.
Rose is well aware of Bram's scandalous reputation, so any reason for his sudden interest in her is suspect; more so since he's close friends with the man about to ruin her family! She has her own plan though, and Bram may be just what she requires—as long as she remembers that he is only looking out for himself. As long as she remembers that his kisses and caresses don't mean anything. As long as she can keep from wondering whether she can trust a scoundrel . . . with her heart.

Question For The Week
Pick a character from a book you are currently reading or just finished and tell us about him/her

well my character is Cindy Harper from Night Bites-Cindy has lived for hundreds of years, Cindy currently runs the Woo  Woo Inn, which brings around weird guests that believe in the paranormal, hoping to find someone like her, for she doesn't know who she really is, a vampire. She just knows that she never ages and never been able to have friends for too long, because she stays the same and doesn't age like they do. Cindy has a ice cream flavor for every emotion. Cindy is a endearing character that just charms you throughout the book, just makes you want to go and give her a hug, she is full of life and passion and the love from a man will bring out her passions  and dreams from life.

Question For The Week
Do you have anyone you can discuss books with IRL? Tell us about him/her?
Honestly not about romance novels no, most of my family and friends aren't big into fiction and even then don't read much. So that's why I love having all of my friends on here, is there are many that I can relate with when it comes to the books that I read.
