MY REVIEW
Summary
Katherine, after being in the convent for years and not having heard from her family, decides to leave knowing all she wants is a husband and children. So when she leaved and gets on a ship on her way to Ireland, back home, the ship is captured by pirates and she is a prisoner of Liam O'Neill, the pirate captain, who refuses to let her go. Katherine refuses to give in to the feelings and the desire she starts to feel for Liam, knowing she deserves more than to be a mistress to a pirate, that she deserves love, marriage and a family of her own. Liam is the king of Games, and ever since he first saw Katherine, he knew he would keep her, and even though he has a secret cause he will do everything he can to Win!

The Hero (Liam O'Neill)
Liam is half english and half irish, his father being a ruthless lord, his mother helpless to do anything to protect herself or her children. So Liam learned at a young age how to protect himself, and to never give in, no matter the risk or the cost. When Liam see's Katherine, he is willing to do whatever it takes to keep her in his life even at the risk of pain and death. Katherine is His and will even break the rules of his own game to keep her by his side.

The Heroine (Katherine FitzGerald)
Katherine, is desperate to get away from the convent, not knowing what has really happened to her family, so when she is captured by the pirate captain, she is most resistent and in the beginning refuses to give in to the feelings that she has for him. However as she starts to find the truth about her family and what has been happening since she has been in the convent, the feelings she has for Liam start to increase, and even though at times she feelings like she should strangle him, she also can't deny that she loves him.

My Thoughts
The Game is the 4th in the de Warrenne series, and I have always enjoyed Brenda Joyce and all of her books for the most part, and even though this was a bit longer, it was still a enjoyable read but far from my favorite of her books. The one thing that I really loved about this story, was how there was always a surprise at the next turn of the plot, something I would have never expected to happen, and left me excited to see what would happen next. The title for the book "The Game" is perfect, and fits it with exactness. The characters were fascinating to get to know. Liam would just make me laugh at times, and other make me want to hug him, and other I wanted to throttle him. Katherine however, it took me a while to really warm up to her, she seemed a bit selfish and naive especially in the beginning, but she grew on me as the story started to really develop. Overall it was a really enjoyable read with lots of intrigue and mystery, romance and passion and series of events that might just make your head spin!!

My Thoughts
The Fires Of Paradise is the fifth installment in the Bragg Saga written by Brenda Joyce. This is the first book that I have read from this series, and from the first to last page I was enthralled and could barely set the book down for food and bathroom breaks. LOL This story was very stimluating and the characters were full of life, and the plot kept me on my toes and I felt like I was on such a thrilling adventure I could barely keep up with it. Such a blistering romance that singed me from my head to my toes and had me on such a rollercoaster of a ride...and I just loved every moment of it. The beginning of the story was a bit slow to get into, but once it picked up the pace a bit I could barely put this one down....A winner for Brenda Joyce!!!

My Favorite Quote
Lucy had never opened a can in her life. She wasn't about to start now. His attitude was irritating. She threw the can at him. " I refuse to cater to you," she retorted " For your information, woman are equal to men-in every way. So you can cook yourself,"
"Women are equal to men, huh?"He laughed " In every way? Really?"
"In every way. But I don't expect a backwoods person like yourself to be familar with liberal thinking"
"Oh, I'm real liberal," he said, still laughing " If you come on over here, I'll show you how liberal I am--and we can test out your theories of equality. "

MY REVIEW

But then her parents die, and her guardian, a uncle that lives in England, has her go to a girls school until she is eighteen. Now she has recently turned eighteen and is eager to return to her home, however she is then informed that her uncle wants her to stay there another three years, so Virginia decides to leave the place and go to her uncle in England for help in getting her plantation back for her, since it is her inheritance and she knows everything in order to run it. However what neither Virginia or Devlin realized was how strong the desire that they feel for each other grows into a consuming passion, one that could very well change their lives forever...

The Hero (Devlin O Neill)
Devlin has been consumed all of his life with the need to bring revenge against the man that murdered his father right in front of his own eyes. And even though he has been able to ruin him financially so far, when he finds out that Virginia is his niece, he is determined to make sure that the revenge is even sweeter and uses her for his own uses against her uncle, but there will come a time when he will have to choose between the revenge and hatred he has felt all of these years or to claim Virginia and the love and joy that being with her offers him.

The Heroine (Virginia Hughes)

Virginia has a passionate nature with everything in her life. But inside her heart is tender, and when she comes into the hands of the rogue Devlin O Neill, she knows that he could easily steal his way into her heart and break it, however she also knows that she may be the only one to break through the ice shell that has surrounded him for so long.

My Thoughts
The Prize is the sixth installment in the de Warrene Dynasty series that Brenda Joyce has created. I have recently fallen in love with this author and her stories, and The Prize was no different, and I fell in love with the characters from the very beginning. Both were endearing and so likable throughout the whole of the story. There were parts of the story where I felt that Devlin was a bit too hard of a character, however the emotions that were portrayed by the characters felt so vividly real, and made the story come alive even more. The Prize is such a emotionally charged story that will pull at your heartstrings with every chapter. I am very much looking forward to reading the rest of this series, and The Prize definitely was filled with everything that I just adore in a historical romance....passion, adventure, intrigue and a powerful love....FANTASTICALLY WRITTEN!!!

My Favorite Quote
"I don't think so," Virginia said boldly, barely able to believe her courage, and she moved into his armes. "We seal it with a kiss," She turned up her face and closed her eyes, the last things she saw being his silver gaze, suddenly hot, suddenly bright. He wanted this, too. And then she moved her mouth firmly over his.

My Thoughts
Dark Victory is the fourth installment in the Masters of Time series. I have now read all of the books in this series, and I have just loved the aspects of these stories. Brenda Joyce has written a passionate and a unforgettable series with strong characters that are entertaining. I fell in love with both characters but especially Tabitha, who even though she has fallen in love before, has also been hurt and has a hard time with trust and finding a gentle man, and we see how much she starts to change to her real self who is passionate and strong but is still gentle and elegant when she needs to be as well. Brenda Joyce takes the reader on a thrilling and mind blowing adventure filled with intrigue, magic, and romance!!! I just loved Dark Victory and one of my favorites of this author!!! A FANTASTIC READ!!!

My Favorite Quote
Tabby clenched her fists "You can stay, but only for one night, and you sleep there, on the sofa" She pointed, her hand trembling " And you will sleep there alone,"
He murmured "Then stop thinkin' about me without my clothes,"

Medieval Romance

Once ensconced in his new domain, Rolfe became determined to tame the Saxon beauty Ceidre, Alice's illegitimate sister, whose spirit and sensuality made him risk treason to have her- not Lady Alice- in his bed...

Mysterious and seductive, she was no lady but a spy for the rebel cause of her noble half brothers. Refusing to bow to this arrogant warrior who ignited her forbidden passion, Ceidre was swept into a dangerous liaison tied to the fate of England and kings. Yet with his kisses on her lips, his skillful hands on her body, she would have to struggle not to surrender to...

MY REVIEW

Summary
Rolfe, a conquerer and a barbarian is ordered to take the Lady Alice as his wife and be the ruler over Castle Aelfgar, by his king. But when he first comes to the Castle Aelfgar he is stunned by Ceirdre, Alice's step sisters. With her beauty alone, is temptation enough for him, and refuses to give this beauty that he has found, up just because he knows he needs to marry her sister. But as time draws even nearer to the wedding, he starts to realize how much he is beginning to care for her, and how much he loves her and that he would risk betraying his own king to have her in his life and keep her for all time...

My Thoughts
The Conquerer is the first in the de Warenne series that is written by Brenda Joyce. At first the story starts out with the bonding between the two, Rolfe and Ceirdre is purely of a sexual nature, but as passion inflames them, there is a tender and powerful love that slowly builds throughout the whole story. The characters are deeply portrayed and teh story plot is engaging. I truly enjoyed reading this book, it was filled with so many aspects that I enjoy when reading Medieval romances, and seemed very vivid in detail. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the books in this series, as I have truly enjoyed reading each and everyone of Brenda Joyce's novels, may they only get better!!! A truly remarkable read!!!

My Thoughts
Dark Rivals is the second in the Masters of Time series, and I just had such a fun time reading Royce's story. It starts with a tender love story which becomes very emotional when we see Royce being killed, however the story is only at the beginning. Brenda Joyce takes the reader on a thrilling adventure back through time and space, where two people discover that their love is magical and one that will last through the ages. A FANTASTIC READ!!!

My Thoughts
Dark Lover is the most recently released book in the Masters of Time series, and the last one in the Rose Trilogy. However it wasn't until halfway through the story that I started enjoying it. Out of all the books of the series that I have read, its my least favorite. I think Ian is my least character, the beginning of the story bordered on erotica, however once it got a little more than halfway through it got more into the romance element that I enjoy reading. But there were some intense elements and a powerful story that is steeped in action and romance..

My Thoughts
Dark Seduction is the first installment in the Masters of Time series. I have recently discovered Brenda Joyce, and I just have loved reading this series so far. Its definitely my type of romance, especially since it mixes the historical aspects with time travel, and paranormal aspects in it. This is the second book that I have read in the series, and I just loved reading Malcolm and Claires story. Malcolm has very recently become a Master but is very tormented, and Claire needs protection for one of their most dangerous enemies is trying to capture her. So it a very thrilling tale, with romantic aspects, and a danger theme to the story that keeps you on edge with every page. Definitely a read you don't want to miss out on !!!! SUCH A GREAT ONE!!! I LOVED IT!!!

Synopsis
A HIGHLAND WARRIOR SWORN TO PROTECT INNOCENCE THROUGHOUT THE AGES...
Aidan, the Wolf of Awe, has abandoned the Brotherhood and forsaken his vows. Feared by all and trusted by none, he hunts alone, seeking vengeance against the evil that destroyed his son. He has not saved an Innocent in sixty-six years--until he hears Brianna Rose's scream of terror across centuries, and leaps to modern-day Manhattan to rescue her....

HER SEDUCTION. HIS SALVATION.
Brie is a gifted empath who spends her time fighting evil from the safety of her laptop--and fantasizing about the medieval Highlander she met just once. Still, her life is pretty ordinary--until she awakens one night consumed with Aidan's pain and rage. When Aidan suddenly appears and takes her hostage, Brie cannot believe how dark and dangerous he has become. She knows she should be afraid, but instead, she will fight across time for his redemption...and his love.

EVERY ROSE WOMAN WAS HER DESTINY

The Hero (Aiden, Wolf of Awe)
Aiden, loved his son and did everything in his power to save him, and now is furious and full of bitterness trying to revenge his death. He keeps seeing images of a ghost of his son, speaking to him but he can't hear him. Aiden is strong, proud, and feels a need for tremendous power, and has been searching for a way to kill his father, who killed his son and gained powerful magical powers. But there is also a side of Aiden that he has buried deep, the side that Brie awakens in him, where he learns to love and care.

The Heroine  (Brianne Rose)
Brianne has empathic abilities, and at times has been more of a curse than considered a gift. Bri works at home in a basement, and hides from everyone where baggy clothes, and trying to hide her looks, for she doesnt want to be like her passionate and vain mother who destroyed everything in her path. Brianne is shocked when she feels the pain and anguish from the one man she has had a secret crush on for the past year. So when he saves her, she is ever more determined to get through his hard exterior and find that good heart that she knows is within him.

My Thoughts:
Dark Embrace is the first in the Rose Trilogy and the third in the Masters of Time series. This is the first that I have read from this author, and I can hardly wait to read more from the series. I have always loved time travel books, and this one was definitely at the top of my list of my favorites to read. Dark Embrace is a powerful story, with deep characters, exciting plot, sensual passion and a deep and instilling love. Such a great read, and evokes powerful emotions in the reader!! Amen to Brenda Joyce, she is definitely at the top of my list of favorite authors, and I am looking forward to reading the other books in these series!!!
