My Review
Rachel Donnelly gave me a copy of Lady Broke in return for a honest review. Considering that I just love western historical's, I found eager to read it. When I read the synopsis I knew that it would be a stimulating read. I really loved how the beginning started out with excitement and danger. It wasn't the type where it takes a while to get into the story, I felt like it would be a easy to get into read for anyone. There is a instant spark between Nat and Christie, even if they both try to deny what they feel in the beginning. When she ends up getting kidnapped by the gang that Nat is hunting down, the same gang that almost killed her uncle. When Nat and Christie are embroiled together in a intense adventure that will turn their spark into a fierce passion across the west. Thus begins a adventure about a lawman and a young woman from the city, that are drawn together and end up finding a love of a lifetime when they least expect it. It was such fun to see how this couple interacted and developed their relationship. On the outside it seems like they are so wrong for each, so opposite--but in the end we see how its the important things that really matter, and that in the end they complimented each other in a way that was beyond intriguing. I found myself being very impressed with Donnalley's voice. I haven't ever read her books until this one, but I definietly want to read more of her books now. Lady Broke is full of advenutre, spirited characters, and a exciting plot that is bound to curl your toes. I enjoyed seeing their connection grow with full intensity and will evoke such zestful emotions!! A stunning adventure that made the wild west come to life!!

My Review
I found a digital copy of this book through Open Library (which I would recommend to everyone that likes free books to read :) and especially if you happen to like the Zebra Historical Romances, there is quite a bit of a selection. This is also the first time I have read from this author, and I was very impressed. I was looking forward to this type of scenario. A strong willed woman, willing to do whatever it takes to survive. I loved how the plot takes a few twists and turns that only ends up keeping the reader transfixed on the story and was quite a exciting story. It had twists and turns that ended up totally satisfying my interest completely.
Travis is a newspaper man and when following a story, he ends up being falsely accused of taking part of a bank robbery. So he flees as fast as he can, knowing he must escape and get his name cleared. While on the run, he finds refuge in a cave, but then finds himself a prisoner of a woman named Bliss holding a gun at him. He doesn't know whether to take her seriously or not, but hopes he will be able to find a way to escape if he can't convince her of his innocence. Bliss, when reading the notice of a $200 reward for capture of a known killer, Travis La Mont. Having experience in trapping and being a bounty hunter for animals, she knows she stands a solid chance at capturing him. When she does manage to capture him, she finds herself for the first time feeling a sensual desire for Travis, one she has never felt before. She stays away from men, but Travis makes her feel desired and feminine. Even though he claims to be innocent, she doubts him, but she starts to doubt herself, and wonders if Travis really is innocent, and suspects that there may be something foul afoot, but she will have to discover it herself.
Travis may be known as a City Slicker, but he grew up on a farm, and I found him to be a delightful addition to the story. Travis is more of a "beta" character, his strengths lay more in his mind, but he can be very protective at times, and more than a little stubborn. Bliss was a fun character, and I really enjoyed her as the heroine. Very passionate and strong willed, and fully independent, and isn't afraid of anything. She fights for what she loves, and I felt like Bliss and Travis were a solid match for each other.
It has been a while since I have enjoyed a book so much. When I picked Outlaw Seduction up I could hardly put it down. I do love stories that capture you from page one. This story definitely had me tied up in knots, and kept me entertained until the very end. I enjoyed seeing the main characters interact and see how they connected, and the setting was one of my favorites. I do have a weakness for westerns especially when there is a spicy romance story involved. There is quite a mystery that is involved in the story, and keeps you guessing 'what is going to happen next?' It had a certain dramatic flair, but not overly done, I felt it was smoothly balanced with the plot. A FANTASTIC READ!!! I am excited to read more from this author.

Even though Carly in the past, has felt a spark between herself and Ramon, she knows that Ramon is dangerous she can't seem to help feeling a passion for him. Ramon at first sees Carly as a rich spoiled brat, but after he kidnaps her, he sees that Carly is anything but. He can't help but falling hard for her, even knowing that her uncle would never allow them together, since he despises Spaniards. But will their love be strong enough to withstand danger around every corner.
Ramon is a super alpha male, and is full of sensuality and has a aura of danger that surrounds him. Ramon tends to act before he thinks, and at first you see him as almost brutal, but when his head clears, he becomes sensitive and caring and I couldn't help but love the way he is with Carly. Carly is not the spoiled brat he thinks her. When they first meet at a party, her uncle forbids her to be kind to Ramon. So she appears to be cool and aloof, but she craves passion and love and something real. Carly is hardworking having been raised working hard along side her parents, until they passed away. She has a very appealing personality, she is stubborn and passionate, but she also has a sweet side to her that makes it seem easy to relate with her.
This was such a thrilling adventure to read!! I had such a blast seeing these two characters interact, and the conflicts that arose that only challenged them and their relationship. I found that I could hardly put this one down last night. Once I really got into it, it was almost impossible to put down. My heart just went out to this couple. I felt like it was one of those styles, where pretty much everything is against the couple, and they somehow manage to get their HEA. It was great seeing how this author incorporated a variety of different cultures, and it was obvious that she did her research of the time. A perfect blend of sexual tension, suspenseful plot, a enticing love story that is bound to blow you away!! CHARMING UNTIL THE LAST PAGE!!

Summary

My Thoughts
When Passion Calls is a ebook I was able to borrow from Open Library. I do love a good native american romance, and I found this one to be at the top of my list especially from this author. I have enjoyed being able to read form this author over the years. She has a way with her writing that instantly draws you into her stories.
When Passion Calls starts out with the tragedy that changes Shane's life. When he see's his mother being killed, he has vowed to himself for vengeance. Ever since he has been hunting this man that caused so much grief and loss on his family. I really enjoyed the tender relationship that builds between the two. Melanie, I found to be a endearing character, and I grew to really like her as a heroine. I did find that their "falling in love" happened a bit too quick for my taste, but as the story progressed even further their relationship seemed to be more real to me. I really enjoyed seeing how Melanie is very protective of Shane, even though there are times when it is her that needs it. There was such a sweet poignancy to the story, that only made it that much sweeter. The plot was full of a variety of intrigue and suspense, and a bit of a mystery that totally boggled my mind in the end. I found that there was a side of sweetness to the story that almost broke my heart. There was such a strong connection between Melanie and Shane, one we see that only gets stronger and more vitalized especially when the danger to them only increases, and it was a joy to see this couple become stronger despite the setbacks.
There was a intensity to the story as well, and I enjoyed the small different aspects to the story, that in the end made for a Stellar read. A job well done and can't wait to read more from this author!!! Overall a outstanding written story that is bound to take you on a journey of love and adventure!!

Summary
Hannah is a oprhan along with her other siblings, but when her older sister leaves them to marry and takes their two brothers, she and her two sisters are alone. Suffering abuse daily, she takes a risk and marries a Mr. McMurty, a stranger, herself and brings her two sisters with her, knowing it can't get any worse. On their way out west, her husband dies from cholera, and her two sisters end up being kidnapped by indians, leaving her alone in the wilderness, only to be found by a Flint Creed, who offers her marriage. Hannah pregnant and alone, knows she doesn't really have a choice, so she agrees. Flint, has loved his brothers fiancee for quite some time, but now that they are married, he is lost...until he finds Hannah and she is perfect to help him forget the one he really loves, only life is never that simple. My Thoughts
Wyoming Bride is the second in the Johnstons Mail Order Bride series. I just loved this story and I am so glad I was able to get the ARC for it....since this is probably one of my favorite new series, and its awesome to read some historicals from this author since she usually focuses on contemporary's. Wyoming Bride is a beautiful love story about two people who are in a need of love and someone to hold onto. From first page to last Hannah I greatly loved...she has such strength and courage and you can't help but admire her...Flint on the other hand I had issues with....throughout most of the story he is always comparing Hannah to his brothers wife...and I just felt so much compassion for Hannah and I was totally on her side the whole way...but toward the end I started to like Flint but not love him because of the way he treats Hannah. Overall a great love story with many aspects that made it a enjoyable romance... A STORY TO REMEMBER!!!

Gabriella starts to feel like a prisoner inside the Hacienda, and knows she is only doing this to protect her family....but Rafael makes her feel alive and makes her want to do the most outrageous things....and despite his domineering and interfering way she can't help but fall in love with him....
My Thoughts
Every time that I read Donna Fletcher I am astounded by how much I have enjoyed her stories, and Untamed Fire was surpisingly good considering I wasn't too enthusiastic when I first started...however from the first few pages I was utterly captivated by this magical story that stole its way into my heart. One of the things that I found unique about Untamed Fire...is the circumstances surrounding this book. Its rare to find a setting which is in the early 1900's, and dealing with the Arisocracy from Spain...in fact this is probably one of the few books that I have read dealing with any characters originating from Spain, so it was very refreshing. Untamed Fire produced many different aspects, but one that I really liked was how spirited the characters were. There were also many scenes that made me laugh and cry...Gaby was such a fun and endearing character with a zest for life, and I just liked her instantly.....she didn't have an obedient bone in her body and I loved how she stood up to Rafael, and showed him the meaning of the word 'fun'. Overall a fun and enjoyable romance, an excellent story line, endearing characters that will charm you and a love story that will sing to your heart. I can hardly wait for the next upcoming release sequel 'Renegade Love'.....

My Review
Summary

My Thoughts
Texas Bride is the ninth installment in the Bitter Creek series, but unlike the other books in the series, it is set in the 1800's, and having read most of the books in this series, I was very excited to read this one, and especially when I read the blurb, I couldn't wait to buy this one. Texas Bride, was a astounding read....and I just fell in love with both Miranda and Jake, both were the kind of characters that become deeply rooted. Both Jake and Miranda have gone through hardship in their lives, and only when they trust and love in each other are they able to heal and learn what it means to love. I just loved the conflict in the story on both sides, and it kept me on the edge of my seat most of the time, but at the same time I was just soaking up all the juicy details and Joan Johnston has become my favorite author again....one of my favorite things about this book would be the story line and the intimate connection that develops pretty quickly between Jake and Miranda....Definitely worth buying and reading!!!! A Treasure Of A Read!!!

My Review
Homespun Bride was a short and sweet story, and I was lucky that it came free on Kindle. Its about two people that once loved each other very much, but Noelle's father practically drove Thad away, now five years later, Noelle has lost her parents in a accident and in that same accident she lost her eyesight, and the man she was supposed to marry abandoned her because she couldn't see. Then when she and her aunt end up in a bit of trouble, Thad comes in like a conquering hero to save the day, and when she realizes who saves them, she is shocked to the core, and hurt at the same time, since she loved him more than anyone else, and he abandoned her without a word. However there is a love that is rekindled even brighter than before. I just loved the whole story, the characters were both so likeable and endearing, and it was such a fun short romance that ended up being a enjoyable read you can relax with.

When Tanner comes into her life she starts to realize what she was missing in her life, things that her whole family needed just as much as the air they breathed.
My Thoughts
Tender Triumph is a single title, by Dianna Devlin, an author I hadn't heard of before even, and so when I saw the cover, I just knew I had to pick it up, and I am so glad that I did. I found it to be comfortable read that you could just relax in. A story of tender love and passion, that was portrayed in way that just pulled at the heartstrings of this reader. I fell in love from the first line I think...I just grew to admire both Tanner and Liza, who have had their shares of hardship and needed the strength of passion and love they found in each other. I found myself not wanting the story to end but when it did I felt content with it. A truly wonderful romance that will just make you feel like your falling in love for the first time!

Summary:
It is 1897Lucy Bragg, heiress to the Brag Empire, has always managed to get herself in trouble despite her best intentions ever since she was old enough to walk. Now an adult, she never thinks before she acts, where she decides to take an adventure with her best friend, to Paradise, Texas. So on their way, she rents a autmobile. , deciding to drive herself to Paradise, however they have car trouble and are somewhat rescued by a half breed indian, tall dark and handsome but his disposition is much to be desired, despite the chemistry between Lucy and Shoz, and after sharing a passionate encounter Lucy knows she will never be the same. However Shoz considers her to be spoiled rotten brat of a woman despite that she is as sexy as hell no matter how dirty or clean she is, and knows he could be in deep trouble if he starts thinking tenderly toward her. But when his past comes back to haunt him and he is forced to take desperate measure to kidnap Lucy, a fiery love will emerge and Shoz knows he can never let her go and must keep her with him at all costs...

My Thoughts
The Fires Of Paradise is the fifth installment in the Bragg Saga written by Brenda Joyce. This is the first book that I have read from this series, and from the first to last page I was enthralled and could barely set the book down for food and bathroom breaks. LOL This story was very stimluating and the characters were full of life, and the plot kept me on my toes and I felt like I was on such a thrilling adventure I could barely keep up with it. Such a blistering romance that singed me from my head to my toes and had me on such a rollercoaster of a ride...and I just loved every moment of it. The beginning of the story was a bit slow to get into, but once it picked up the pace a bit I could barely put this one down....A winner for Brenda Joyce!!!

A MCKETTRICK CHRISTMAS
Summary:
Lizzie McKettrick, is traveling home from San Francisco with a prospective future fiancee, and planning on surprising her family with Whitley Carson. But then a avalanche strikes the train they are traveling on and they are stranded witha blizzard outside and not much hope of surviving with a likely chance of them on the edge (which could tip their car over), and another avalanche that could down upon them at any time. Dr Morgan Shane takes charge and Lizzie is drawn to him in a way that she has never been drawn to a man before. Despite their current dangerous circumstances surrounding them, their is a spark that flares between the two, and Lizzie knows in her heart he is the man she would want to spend her life with if they manage to survive.
My Thoughts
I have read most of the McKettrick series, and was delighted to read Lizzie's Story. The four previous books involving her father and her three uncles, are treats to read, as was A McKettrick Christmas. From the first sentecne I know I would enjoy reading, its definitely a heartwarmer for the Holidays. The characters were touching, and although a bit shorter than I would have liked when it comes to a McKettrick book (or any of Linda Lael Millers books) it was still a Christmas delight that will warm your heart.

A CREED COUNTRY CHRISTMAS
Summary:
Juliana Mitchell, a schoolteacher of an Indian school, and loves each of the children that she teaches. However because of her brother refusing to give her inheritance, she is unable to send some of the children, (which she could lose her job if she doesn't get them off) to their next destination. Then she meets Lincoln Creed who offers to take them in. Lincoln widowed and father to Gracie, who is in needs of a governess and more importantly a mother. So when Lincoln proposes to Juliana, she agrees when she starts to realize how much she is beginning to care for this rancher who is in need of love, and who also aches for him in her life.
My Thoughts
I have now read all books from the Creed series, but I just love each and every one of the Creeds so far, and Lincoln Creed is no different. Lincoln loved his previous wife deeply and suffers from the loss. But when he meets Juliana he is charmed, as is his daughter. Gracie is in need of a mother figure and that nurting he feels he could never provide for her. Lincoln also has been lonely for far too long and yearns for someone to come home to. A Creed Country Christmas is a classic holiday story, where there are two people more in needs of love and the healing Christmas season, than they truly realize. A tender Christmas story, one I will never forget.

Summary:

Having caring for her mother, after a scuffle with her father, and losing her, and her father broke his promise to her. Now she is married to Dallas and everything is unfamiliar, and feels more alone than ever. Dallas Leigh is desperate to have a son, and is determined to find a wife, and when he hears that McQueen has a daughter, he trades water rights for Cordelia as his wife. But he never realized how opposite they were from each other, he despises the fear he see's in her eyes and wants to do anything he can to take it from her. Dee although in the beginning afraid of her husband, starts to look at him through her own eyes, instead of her brothers eyes, and slowly she starts to get to know him and the fear fades away from her, and a desire that sparks between them, and a tender love that will only strengthen their intimate bond with one another...
The Hero
Dallas Leigh, is tormented by the war between the states, and he is still haunted by what happened during that time. Now he has built a empire, but he is desperate for a son. So when he hears that McQueen has a daughter, no many people even knew about, he marries her, but never expected that is wife would have a fear of everything in her life, including Dallas. Dallas is a proud and ambitious man, but his wish is for a son, however when Dee enters his life he starts to realize that she is the most important thing in his life, and would do anything to bring her happiness. Dallas doesn't think he deserves love, but he needs it more than any other...
The Heroine
Cordelia McQueen, having grown up in a home where women were seen but not heard. Dee has always had a fear of what happens between two people when they are married, after seeing her father once abuse her mother, and ever since her mother ended up parlalyzed because of a scuffle between her parents, she has cared for her mother. But when they move to a new place, she is a prisoner in her father's house on the claim its for protection. Her father made a promise that she would never have to suffer any intimate contact with a man, but then her father broke his promise to her when he barters her for land and water. Dee is afraid of her husband especially at the beginning, and feels alone. But when she starts to see Dallas as who he really is, she realizes that he is the best things that her father could have ever done for her.
My Thoughts:
Texas Glory is the second in the Texas series by Lorraine Heath. This is my favorite book written by this author, I just love reading it, and could read it over and over and never be bored by this story. This story begins with two people that couldn't be more opposite of each other, and each one has certain dreams, but when they truly come together they manage to have both of their dreams come to life. I found this a powerfully emotional book, that will cling to your heart. It has such a charming note about it, the characters fully of depth and promise, this is truly a sparkling gem that will touch your soul.

Summary:
Madeline Calhoun, runs a newspaper called the "San Antonio Star" having recently settled in San Antonio and made a life for herself. Madeline has a passion for discovering the truth and writing about it. Now her husband, whom she thought she may have loved at one time, has now lost him and her newspaper in a card game, and the new owner is a man she fell in love with when she lived in New Orleans, but thought that he had died in Mexico, but now is faced with the one man that once had her heart. Rafe is furious with her, and Madeline is overwhelmed to see him again. Rafe is furious to see Madeline again, but so is Madeline with Rafe for not ever letting her know that he was alive when she believed him dead. So even though these two are at odds with one another, there is still a raw passion that awakens, and a love that is rekindled...
The Hero
Rafe Aigner, half choctaw, grew up and fell in love with Madeline in New Orleans, but lost her once and has become a dangerous and hardened man. Now things have changed much for him since he once knew her. He has a son that he has a responsibility for, and brings him to San Antonio. Now he has won a ranch, and a newspaper and is at odds with Madeline, the one woman who hurt him the most. Rafe is unpredicable, and on the surface seems to have a tough exterior, but beneath all that, is a tender heart aching to learn to trust again...
The Heroine
Madeline Calhoun, never believed that the idiot that she married lost her newspaper and his own life for a game, she never would have married him in the first place. Now she is stunned to discover the man that she has lost her newspaper to, is the one man that she loved once, but believed him to be dead. Furious that he kept that knowledge that he was alive all this time, when she mourned him deeply, and almost died herself from the grief alone, is overwhelmed with the emotions he draws out in her. And despite the chaos that surrounds them, her body still aches for his touch...
My Thoughts
Rafe is the third installment in the Renegade series by Genell Dellin. I have only couple books from this author, but I found Rafe to be a compelling story. The story takes place in San Antonio Texas, where two people that once knew the meaning of the phrase "to have loved and lost" now comes face to face with each other, and tempers and emotions are very high, but there is a desire between them that has never died, and has awakened again now that they have worked out a compromise, that will only have their hidden love to come alive brighter than ever. Rafe and Madeline are endearing characters and their interaction with one another is will be entertaining to say the least. Throughout the whole of the story, there was one surprise after another, unsuspecting and full of emotion and intensity. So if you are a lover of romance this is one you don't want to miss out on.....

MY REVIEW
Summary:
Callie Sloane, alone and pregnant and kicked out by her father, she decides to fulfill her past love's dream and go the Cherokee Strip and set up a homestead there, despite all the hardship she knows she will face. But right when she is about to stake her claim, a handsome renegade comes insisting that she is on his claim. Nick half Cherokee but no one knows that he is indian, or he would never be able to have this land, that is very precious to him. So when he comes across a lone widow claiming his land, he forces her to claim another piece of land, but what he never expected was to be drawn to this fiery woman who takes his breath away, despite how he keeps saving her, and starts being her protector, and finds that she is a temptress who entices him more than any other woman has.
The Hero
Nickajack, is very protective of the land that he has claimed, as his own mother is buried there, and has great plans for it, and will let no man or woman take his land from him, so he must let no one know of his identity as half Cherokee. He is furious that before he knows it the "strip" that is his home, will be invaded by white man. Nickajack is a loner and a renegade. He treasures his privacy and cares not for neighbors or their interfering ways. Nickajack is stubborn, strong willed, but is tormented by his past after being betrayed by a woman he once loved. And is determined to never fall in love again, for in his mind women bring betrayal. However once he saves Callie Sloane, he is determined to stay from her, but finds himself to stay near her as much as possible, because he can't find it in himself to tear himself away.
The Heroine
Callie Sloane, is part of a feud, even though she doesn't even know how it started, she is forbidden to ever associate with the family on the other side of the feud. But then she falls in love with a man from the other side, and is pregnant, and then her lover passes away, and his dream was to settle and have a homestead, so after he dies she decides to fulfill his dream. So she heads west, claiming to be a widow (even though they hadn't been married before he died) and gets herself a wagon and a crazy team of mules and heads to makes her claim. Callie is a strong willed, very stubborn, wanting to never be owing anyone anything. She is pregnant and vulnerable and is determined to let no one know it until she starts showing. She lost almost everything when she fell in love, and knows she can never fall in love ever again, for she never wants to betray her past loves memory and what they felt for one another.
My Thoughts
Nick is the second installment in the Renegade series. This is a story about two people that have both been hurt when it comes to the matter of the heart. Although their pasts are very different, they both know pain, and need each other more than either of them fully realize. I found the plot to be strong and full of excitement. I really liked the characters in this book, they were very likable, and both so alike, they just fit perfectly. I did feel through most of the book like there was something missing from the story and from their relationship as well. There was definitely a sensuality about their relationship, and a tender love story, however especially toward the end, I felt like there should have been something more in it. However overall it was a an entertaining adventure, and I had a fun time reading Nick's story.

Summary:
When Rose Thornton sees the advertisement for a cook for six men, she decides to take George Randolph on his offer, after he rescues her one day at work. So not realizing what she was in for, she goes to the homestead and was shocked to see what she would have to deal with, concerning the Randolph men. When she arrives, the place is a pigsty, and wonders how any of them could live like this. There is George, the oldest. Then there is Jeff, the twins: Monty and Hen, Tyler, and the younger and still a child, Zac, who captures her heart from the first day. But out of all the brothers, it is George, whom she finds herself drawn to despite the circumstances that surround them, with their fathers having fought on both sides of the war. But despite all that, there is a sizzling fire between George and Rose, that starts to turn into love, what neither of them expected to find.
The Hero
George Randolph, oldest of the seven boys, have brought them back together after the war, save one, Madison. However despite them being together, they need someone to take care of the place, to cook and clean for them. So he goes into town to look for a cook and housekeeper and finds Rose, who despite her ways and expectations being different, has made things in their family different, and come together more. George loves his brother and is commited to them, however when he feels himself falling in love with young Rose, he wonders if he could ever let her go from his life.
The Hero
Rose Thornton, living in Austin, as a waitress is bemused yet drawn to this stranger who saves her, who occupies her thought unceasingly. Rose, is a woman alone, without any family left, her father having passed away in the war, now is on her own. So when she hears of George's advertisement, she decides to take it, knowing that it would be a much better option than where she is at now. However she was shocked to see how uncivilized the Randolph Brothers, and is determined more than ever to turn them civilized, even if it kills her. What she didn't think would happen was fall in love with Geroge Randolph who stirs up her senses like no other ever has.
My Thoughts
Rose is the first in the Seven Brides Series, written by Leigh Greenwood. I can't count how many times I have read this book, I just love love love reading it, so I thought it was about time that I read it and do a review for it. So here I am. Leigh Greenwood is one of my favorites to read from if I am looking for a good American Western romance, and is a male author, which suprised me at first, since there aren't too many male romance authors, that I actually know of, so its truly a delight to find such a talented one. Every time I pick up Rose, I can't force myself to put it down, I just love it so much. I just love the idea of one woman civilizing six brother (technically seven, but Madison doesn't show in this book) and can hold her own. Definitely my type of heroine, and the hero is the classic tortured, planning to never marry type, but knows deep down its inevitable. So as far as a classic western romance, Rose hits the roof! Just loved it!

Summary:
Sharisse Hammond, an american heiress, is engaged to a man that she doesn't love, and feels trapped with no way out, not realizing at first that it is her younger sister that is in love with her fiancee. Once Sharisse learns of this, she learns that her sister has been corresponding with a man in Arizona who is looking for a wife as a mail order bride. So Sharisse decides to let her sister persuade her to go all the way to Arizona to marry a man she doesn't know, but would rather go out west, than marry someone that her father planned for her. However she never expected how hard life could be out west with a man, never realizing, that really never had any intention of marrying her. But Sharisse learns an aching passion in Lucas's arms, that she never expected to find, and wonders that when the truth comes about who she really is, will she lose him or find such a exquisite love.
The Hero
Lucas Holt, a twin, has a plan for revenge, but in order to do so, he must find a wife, any wife. So when he sends for a mail order bride, he hardly expected for her to be so beautiful, spirited and passionate. But he has told her that there will be a time before he will marry her so they can get to know one another, however he has no plan to truly marry her. Yet he finds himself so tempted to join himself to the one woman that can free him from all the bitterness in his heart. There are secrets he has kept from Sharisse, that could ruin what they have discovered together.

Sharisse Hammond, living in New York City, is the oldest of her fathers two daughters. Sharisse's mother passed away, and now her father is very insistent on whom she is to marry, his friend's son, an alliance he desires more than anything. But then she learns that her younger sister, is in love with her fiancee, so Sharisse decided to travel out west to Arizona, to marry one Lucas Holt, never knowing how much her life would change. Never knowing that she would be awakened to such desire and sensuality with a man, that she never thought existed, and finds herself falling in love with him.
My Thoughts:
Tender Is The Storm is a single book, not part of any series, written by well known author Johanna Lindsey. It takes place in the American West. This is a story about a young woman who was unhappy in her father's plans for her, so she decided to make her own decisions regarding her happiness. And a story of a man, who has lost much, and on a quest of revenge, needs a woman, for a wife, but never plans to keep her as such. But throughout this story, we see a enticing adventure, charming characters and a tender love story that bonds two people from different worlds. I found this to be such a romance that was filled with such romance and adventure that I found I couldn't put it down. A romantic treasure to be sure!
