Synopsis The sisters of
Sea Haven, bound by the heart and the magical power of the elements,
return in this soul-stirring new novel from Christine Feehan, #1 New
York Times bestselling author of Spirit Bound...
For
as far back as she can remember, Airiana Ridell has always been aware
of her extraordinary gift. She can intuit revealing and illuminating
'patterns' in the air around her-whether in a spray of mist, in
billowing clouds, or in the dense swirls of an impenetrable fog. Her
abilities led to her placement in a secret government training facility
when she was a child, but everything changed after her mother was
murdered.
Airiana fled the program, but she couldn't outrun the
desperate members of a shadowy cabal who want her, who need her, who
will kill to get her. Kidnapped and held aboard a ship bound for
dangerous seas, her only chance for rescue is Maxim Prakenskii. He has
his reasons for helping her, but he isn't about to reveal them to
Airiana. Not yet. Not as the two are drawn together as moth to flame.
Not when there are so many secrets yet untold that could shatter the
quaint community of Sea Haven and all who reside there...

Synopsis #1 New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan now
delivers her most eagerly awaited novel of all — ten years in the
making.
In Dark Lycan, Christine Feehan journeyed into the heart of
the Carpathians, and into the souls of two lifemates stirred by the
flush of passion and the threat of annihilation. In Dark Wolf, the
breathtaking story continues as the bonds of family are imperiled, and
the fate of two lovers lies hidden in the seductive shadows between life
and death.
Skyler Daratrazanoff always recognized the miracle
that was Dimitri Tirunul, a man beyond any dream that had ever engaged
her nights. But she was human. Vulnerable. He was Carpathian. Nearly
immortal. She was nineteen. He was an ancient. Yet she held half his
soul, the light to his darkness. Without her, he would not survive.
Caught between the two warring species, Dimitri has spent centuries
hunting the undead to keep his people free, and humans safe. He had
survived honorably when others had chosen to give up their souls. But
now, marked for extermination by the Lycans, Dimitri found himself
alone, and fearing for his life. But salvation was coming…
No
Lycan would ever suspect someone like Skyler to dare mount a secret
rescue operation. A teenage girl. A human of untested abilities. But she
had something no one else had. She was predestined for Dimitri—as he
was for her. And there was nothing stronger for Skyler than her desire
to see her life-dream come true. Whatever the risk.

Synopsis #1 New York
Times bestselling author "Christine Feehan knows how to weave a tale of
action, suspense and paranormal passion" (Romance Junkies). Now, she’s
back -- and the New Orleans nights have never felt so torrid or so
dangerous...
From a tough stint in the armed forces to
stalking the unknown as a bayou cop, leopard-shifter Remy Boudreux has
been served well by his uncanny gifts. And right now, New Orleans could
use a homicide detective like Remy.
A serial killer is loose,
snatching victims from the French Quarter with pitiless rage and
unnatural efficiency. But something else is drawing Remy into the
twilight -- a beautiful jazz singer bathed night after night in a flood
of blood-red neon.
Sultry, mysterious, and as seductive as her
songs, she’s luring Remy deeper into the shadows than he ever imagined.
And as their passions swell, his keen instinct for survival will be
challenged like never before. By a killer -- and by a woman.
My Review
Christine Feehan has always been a must read author for me. I didn't like Paranormal romance until I read her Dark Series, and I fell in love. Then when she started on this shifter series of Leopards, I was captivated. I would say that Leopard's Prey is going to be added to the top of the list of favorites. From the previous book Savage Nature, we are introduced to the Boudreux family, and we see quite a bit of Remy, when I heard that the next book would be his story, I learned that patience was NOT one of my virtues. Now for those of you who haven't read this series yet, it isn't mandatory to read the previous books, but I would recommend reading Savage Nature before you read this.
Remy, as a homicide detective, has been searching for a serial killer, and he is determined to find him before he kills more. When he returns home from New Orleans, he comes across a woman he hasn't seen in years, but has constantly thought of Bijou or also known as "Blue". A Beautiful and mesmerizing Jazz singer, who is the daughter of one of the most popular rock and roll singers. On the surface most people see Bijou as stuck up and spoiled, but Remy knows that is far from the truth. He knows that she was raised in a home without a mother, and a father who only dragged her around for more fame and glory. But when she returns home, both he and his leopard are drawn to her, and he comes to the realization that she is his mate...his to protect and love. Bijou has had to do things in order to protect herself. She grew up with drugs and sex being a top priority to her father, but Remy showed her how someone can truly care about a person, and she was determined that her life would not be her fathers. Now she wants to sing Jazz and settle down at home. But there is a serial killer on the loose, and has focused on her. Remy is overwhelmed with his feelings for Bijou, but he will have to find the killer before he destroys everything that Remy holds dear.
Remy is a full on ALPHA male, he needs absolute obedience from those under him. When he discovers that Bijou is his mate, all of his leopard instincts go into overdrive, and he can barely control them. I loved that even though Remy likes control, he doesn't go all domineering on Bijou, he respects her and I loved how sweet and tender he is at times, but then other times he is very like a alpha male, but in a way that will make the room sizzle and spark. Remy just had me from page one. Bijou is very independent and strong willed, and the last thing that she wants is some alpha male trying to control her movements. I enjoyed how she stands up to him, and doesn't let him run over her. She does have some vulnerabilities that I found endearing in her, and I could help but love her and her strong spirit.
I absolutely adored Leopard's Prey!! An amazing story that reminds you of why Feehan is the queen of paranormal romance (at least for me she is). This one is probably one of her best work. A stellar story that has the pages filled with sensual romance, intensely packed suspense story, and a setting that is enriched with history and passion. A sexy read that everyone has to have in their library. A story that sparks from beginning to end, and will have you at the edge of your seat! You are in for one hell of a ride folks!! A AMAZING STORY TO MAKE YOU FALL IN LOVE WITH THE MAGIC OF NEW ORLEANS!

First Line The bayou was no place for the faint of heart--especially at night.
Favorite Quote "I'm goin' to kiss you, Blue. So don' do anythin' rash." She blinked at him. "Why?" "Because I know a thing or two about makin' a public statement." His hand slipped to her throat, and he lowered his head that scant few millimeters to her mouth. Time stopped for her. The ground under her feet shifted. He led her right over a cliff where there was no way back. Lights danced at the back of her eyes and her body seemed to melt against his. Her body didn't feel her own anymore. He'd lain claim to her and all he'd done was kiss her.

Synopsis A DARK STORM IS ON THE
HORIZON…Return to Christine Feehan’s “steamy and dreamy” (Publishers
Weekly) world of her New York Times bestselling Carpathian novels as
roiling passions collide in a perfect storm of dangerous desire that
only a precious few can hope to outrun…
Awakening after all this
time in a world of absolute darkness and oppressive heat, Dax wonders in
how many ways the world above must have changed. But it is how he has
changed that fills him with dread and loathing. Buried alive for
hundreds of years in a volcano in the Carpathian Mountains, Dax fears
that he has become the full-fledged abomination that every Carpathian
male fears, a victim of the insidious evil that has crept relentlessly
into his mind and body over the centuries.
But there are some things that never change.
His
name is Mitro, the vampire Dax had hunted all these long centuries.
Second in command to the prince of the Carpathian people he is the
epitome of everything malevolent, and perpetrator of one of the most
shocking killing sprees known to man—and beast. Even his friends and
family weren’t safe from Mitro’s bloodlust. Neither was Mitro’s
lifemate, Arabejila, an extraordinary woman with extraordinary gifts.
But
now that Dax has re-emerged, so too has Mitro. The ultimate battle
between good and evil has been re-engaged. Between Dax and Mitro, a
violent game has begun—one that has marked Riley Parker, the last
descendent of Arabejila, as the reward.
My Review Summary
Dax has been trapped inside a volcano in South America for the past 500 years. Dax has been hunting Mitro for hundreds of years, and has now woken up. He has spent quite some time in this volcano, and has been able to, with some outside help, keep Mitro trapped here. Mitro once had a lifemate, Arabejila, who helped Dax hunt down Mitro and her descendents have been keeping Mitro trapped inside the volcano. But when Mitro manages to escape, Dax ends up bonding his soul with a powerful dragon, and chases after Mitro and vows to destroy him, now having enough power to do so. Riley Parker, has recently lost her father, and trying to keep her mother from drifting away from her, they head on their regular trip every five years down to a land of their ancestors, to visit a volcano. Riley has no idea why its so important to always be coming down every five years, all she knows is how important it is. The closer and closer they get to the volcano, it starts to become evident that there is a evil stalking them, trying to kill her mother, which is slowing them down. When they finally reach their destination, Mitro ends up escaping and Riley comes across a man that is unlike any man she has ever known. A powerful being, that has been hunting Mitro for many years, and she discovers is her destiny. A man that see's her for who she truly is and shows her a world she never imagined existed.
The Hero (Dunutdaxton AKA Dax)
Dax, was born a carpathian even though currently he has changed into something very different. Dax has always had the ability since he was young, to sense the darkness in other Carpathian males, and knew whether or not they had turned or if they were close to turning evil. However most of his people never believed his claims. When Mitro, a friend of his, ends up having a lifemate, he thought he was safe. However when Mitro ends up becoming a vampire, and killing all that stands in his way, Dax knows what his duty is. So ever since he has hunted him, and after hundreds of years he hasn't been able to until he finds himself bonded with a very old dragon. When he finds his lifemate, Riley, he feels like he must protect her at all costs, but she makes him believe in himself again, and to trust in love.
The Heroine (Riley Parker)
Riley, is a descendent of Arebejila, along with her mother, who is very powerful and has a connection to the earth. Now Riley has inherited the same gifts, and feels such a strong connection to the earth. But when on their journey to the volcano, she finds that Mitro has escaped and now she and her party are in more danger than ever. When she meets Dax, she is overwhelmed with feelings of desire and a sense of danger. He awakens something within her, and gives her the courage to fight along side him to hunt Mitro down and destroy him for good.
My Thoughts
Dark Storms is the most recent in the Carpathian series, and I really liked this newest addition. Not as good as the earlier books, but was still a fun and enjoyable read. Dark Storm was a bit different than her other books in the series. For one we have never dealt with a volcano in her series before, so it was nice reading a scenery that was a bit different. I also liked how there was a dragon aspect added to the hero. I really liked how not only was Dax a powerful Carpathian but he also had his soul combined with a dragons (which I thought was so neat), so he is even more powerful than before. I also enjoyed Riley as the heroine, she is very independent and likes things her own way, but she easily accepts Dax into her life, and doesn't fight her feelings for him. She accepts Dax as he is, and accepts being his lifemate, and I just loved her sense of adventure and fun. I also enjoyed how Dax is not all "he man" and knows how powerful Riley is, and knows that she is key to helping him defeat Mitro. I also loved the chemistry between Dax and Riley, as usual with Feehan, very hot and sexy. One other aspect I enjoyed was seeing some other characters we have seen in other books (such as Gary and Jubal), playing a very active role as well. The one thing that I didn't like very much about the story, was that it didn't start out very excited. We don't see Dax and Riley meet for quite some time. It was almost half way through before we see them interact with each other. So I had to be patient, even though there were some action scenes that happen during this time, then it gets really good in the middle once Riley and Dax explore their relationship more and start their hunt for Mitro. Overall a thrilling and exciting new installment in the Carpathian Series. Even though in the past few years I haven't necessarily loved the later part of the series, I found myself really liking this one, and it has been quite some time since I have felt this way about her series. Definitely a fun tale of adventure, love mixed with danger that will leave you breathless.

MY REVIEW Summary:
Dominic, has gone through his existence alone and as one of the most powerful Carpathians he knows what better way to go down than with honor, so he ingests himself with parasitic blood so that he can blend in with the other vampires, and accomplish his mission that he set out to do. Only there is one hitch to the plan on his way to accomplishing his goal he finds his lifemate-Solange, who is everything he could have hoped for in a mate, and knows that he can't bind her to him and that he must let her go because he gave an oath. The Hero (Dominic)
Dominic, is of Dragonseeker blood, one of the most powerful lineages of all time. Dominic is an ancient warrior, and throughout all of the centuries has never found his lifemate until now....right when he is about to sacrifice his life he finds her and doesn't know if he will have enough strength of will to let her go when she is the very half of him....
The Heroine (Solange Sangria )
Solange, has lost everything ever since she was a child, she has had to fight to survive, and feels battle worn and weary and plans on giving up her life because she doesn't know how she can go on...but then Dominic strolls into her life and everything has changed, for he makes her believe in herself and in their love and she refuses to lose it all...
My Thoughts
Dark Peril is the 21st in the Dark series. I have just loved reading this series, and although I did enjoy reading Dark Peril it wasn't my favorite but still a intriguing read. I loved the whole edge in the story where they both plan to die but right before they do so their life mate comes into their lives---interesting timing wouldnt you say? The passion between Dominic and Solange is full of heat and spiraling desire that only intensifies the connection between the two. What I have always enjoyed about Feehan's books is the vivid pictures she brings to life and she definitely brought this story to life as well. Overall it was a enjoyable read, not one that I would buy or re read, but it was still a book to relax myself in.

My Thoughts
Savage Nature is the fifth installment in the Leopard series by Christine Feehan. I just was so captivated by this story, so far I have truly enjoyed reading this series, but I think this would have to be my favorite book in the series. From the first page I was drawn into the story, the characters were so genuine and real, that I was left feeling like I was in their place, the writing was with such talent that I felt I was seeing it happening for real. The plot was intense and full of a roller coaster ride of suspense and romance. A Thrilling Tale!!!! One you don't want to miss out on if your a fan of Christine Feehan!!!!
My Favorite Quote:

THE BEAST

MY REVIEW Summary:
Isabella is in desperate need to save her brother who has been captured and tortured, and goes to the only Don she knows that is powerful enough to help her. Full of courage and strength she heads up to his valley, rumored to be ridden with lions, she knows she could very well perish, but desperation and fear for her brother keeps her going forward until she makes it to his home...his lair. After meeting the rumored beast, Don Nicolaie DeMarco, she makes a pact with him, his help in rescuing her brother in exchange to marriage with Nicolae. Isabella knowing that she doesn't have much choice, other than letting her brother die, she agrees and with that agreement a desire is awakened in them both. Although Nicolae is lethal, Isabella, even though she fears him at times, starts to see the good parts of him, and slowly starts to fall in love with him, and put all her trust in him despite the danger that he poses to her....in her mind Love is powerful enough to conquer any curse that could destroy them....
The Hero (Nicolai De Marco)

Isabella, has lived in fear and on the run but even though his own people fear him, Isabella doesn't fear him as they do, she sees him as the man that he is not the beast that he can become, and hopes that her love for him will be strong enough...
My Thoughts
Lair Of The Lion is a single title by Christine Feehan, and as this is probably my favorite paranormal author, I couldn't resist reading it, even though its not a part of any of her wonderful series, this still had the same ring of sensuality, danger and intriguing plot....and having just finished it, was a bit disappointed to see it end. I could hardly keep myself away from this one and read it in only a few hours. Lair of the Lion is a story that takes place in the Italian Alps, and is mixed with folklore and definitely goes under the category of "Beauty and the Beast" where two people are consumed by a inflaming passion that turns into a powerful love...such a remarkable read and I am so glad that I was able to read this one. Definitely gets a score of 5 for me...there was nothing about this story that I didn't like....Feehan definitely held me captivated from beginning to end!!!
My Favorite Quote "You haven't forgiven me yet, " he observed thoughtfully. "I thought we had dispensed with your unfavorable opinion of me," She managed her haughtiest tone "I see nothing in my behavior that would lead you to believe that. I was merely polite, as good breeding commands," "Really," His voice low, one eyebrow shooting up. Nicolai simply reached out, almost in slow motion, his palm curling slowly around the nape of her neck. Fire raced through her body at the touch of his lips on hers. Every muscle clenched tightly. His lips moved against hers, a slow teasing of senses, awakening her to a world of sensuality.

Having been one of the old warriors that was under Mikhail's father, he has fought long and hard through the long years, and is powerful, of the old world, and very much Alpha in many ways. But when a little girl's cries reaches him, he connects to her, helping her, all the while searching for her, and when he realizes that she is his lifemate, he will stop at nothing to keep her in his life.
The Heroine (Destiny)
Destiny, ever since she was six years old, was tricked and her family was killed, and she was abused in many ways, and then turned by him, and even though she isn't a vampiress, but a Carpathian, there is still a evil poison in her, and she is always in pain. Destiny doesn't believe that she doesn't deserve any goodness in her life, for having had to kill to survive through the years. But she makes a friend -Mary Ann Delayney, who teaches her to accept who she really is, and to strive to heal and learn to accept and feel love.....
My Thoughts
Dark Destiny isthe thirteenth book in the Carpathian Series by Christine Feehan. I have read this book before but it has been a while since I have, and I have to say its one of my favorites. Its so emotionally compellling to the reader, that you can't put it down. Destiny is the kind of character that can almost break your heart, so easy to relate with, despite the fact that she can fight vampires, there is a side of her that doesn't believe in herself, but then she meets her best friend Mary Ann and then Nicolae her lifemate, and we start to see how she starts to heal and learns how to truly love and be loved. There were quite a few times that I cried, and at other times just laughing at the interaction between Destiny and Nicolae. Nicolae, is the kind of man any woman could fall for, and he is pretty dreamy in this book. Even though he can be controlling at time, and all Alpha Male, he takes his time with Destiny, more patient than most of the other males in this series. Overall this is on the top of the list in favorites of this series, of course it can be hard because I have loved every one of her books, however the story and the characters were endearing, and the plot thrilling, and I there wasn't one moment that I was bored, defintely a worthwhile read. A most emotionally empowering, engaging book that I have read in a long time, and I LOVED it!!!
My Favorite Quote
Her heart was so full, she was afraid it might burst. She had never dared to dream she would have a home and a family. She had never conceived of having friends. Life might never be perfect, but she had Nicolae, and he would always understand those terrible moments when the memories crept out from behind the doors in her mind. He would be there to hold her and help her.

My Thoughts
Ruthless Game is ninth installment in the Ghostwalker Series written by Christine Feehan. I have just loved this series, but I think after reading this latest, that this is my favorite book in the series. I fell in love with both characters, and I think I love them both equally, Kane is very much of a more commanding man, however he has a gentle side with Rose, which I found remarkably sweet. Rose although grew up as a fighter and training to be a Ghostwalker, still wants to feel needed and cherished, and have a prince charming of her own. As always a book from the Ghostwalker series, this one was filled with danger and intrigue and a powerful love story that will sing to your heart, just as it did to mine. Christine Feehan has done it again, having me fall in love with another of her creations.

Synopsis: The last thing Lev Prakenskii remembered was being lost in the swirling currents of the ocean and getting sucked deeper into the nothingness of a freezing black eddy off the coastal town of Sea Haven. Just as quickly, just a miraculously, he was saved -- pulled ashore by a beautiful stranger. But Lev has no memory of who he is -- or why he seems to possess the violent instincts of a trained killer. All he knows is that he fears for his life, and for the life of his unexpected savior.
Her name is Rikki, a sea~urchin diver in Sea Haven. She has always felt an affinity for the ocean, and for the seductive pull of the tides. And now she feels drawn in the same way to the enigmatic man she rescued. But soon they will be bound by something even stronger, and their tantalizing secrets will engulf them both in a whirlpool of dizzying passion and inescapable danger.
MY REVIEW Summary:
Rikki, a diver in Sea Haven, is a woman that enjoys solitude and has a affinity with the sea and its elements. So when she went diving she ends up rescuing Lev Prekenskii, who has no memory of his past, and almost kills her viewing her as a threat. After he realizes who she really is, she takes him home with her. At first Rikki has a hard time with Lev so close to her, but amazingly she adjusts to his presence in her home and she is drawn to this enigmatic man that has wakened up every cell in her body. As their relationship intensifies, so does the danger that threatens them both and Rikki's family and all that she holds dear. Only when she learns to trust in her own abilities and in the man who has stolen her heart, will she be able to survive the inescapable tide.
The Hero
Lev Prakenskii is one of the seven brothers, that have special powers each of them, who is also the brother to Illya Prakenskii. Lev since he was a young boy was taken and trained to be a soldier, and a dangerous one at that. He doesn't feel anything or nothing and no one has ever held him in one place. Until he ends up rescued by the beautiful Rikki, who is in need of someone that will protect and love her. At first his intentions are just to get healed, however the longer he is there, the more he feels like he has found a "home" with a woman whom he is falling in love with.
The Heroine:
Rikki is tormented by her past, where everyone that she has cared about has died in a fire that she blames herself for, including her parents and her fiancee. Now she has met her sisters, who have all suffered pain in their pasts, but together they are a healing balm. Sharing land with her sisters in Sea Haven, Rikki loves water and especially the sea, which she feels a connection to. When she brings home Lev, her plan is only to see him get well, because at first having him in her space is challenging for her, but the longer that she is there she feels that she is falling in love with the one man that has a hold on her heart.
My Thoughts:
Ever since I read the Drake Sisters Series, and when I read Turbulent Sea, I wondered if Christine Feehan would work on the Prakenskii brothers, and I am happy to say that this series: Sisters of the Heart deals with each Prakenskii brother and each sister that has formed such a close bond to each other, even though they aren't related by blood, they are sisters at the heart. Water Bound is the first installment in this series, and just as enjoyable as every one of Feehan's books. I found both of the characters charming. The plot had me from the first page until the very last, leaving me satisfied yet I can hardly wait for the second one "Spirit Bound". I think one of the things that I loved about this story was how much Lev and Rikki need love more than anyone, and they need that strong connection to one another. A True Romance filled with danger, passion and magic!

Synopsis: The heat of passion--and danger--rises like jungle fire in the all new novel of the leopard people by #1 New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan...
Called on a dangerous assignment, leopard shifter Conner Vega returns to the Panama rain forest of his homeland, looking every bit the civilized male. But as a member of the most lethal of the shifter tribes, he doesn't have a civilized bone in his body. He carries the scent of a wild animal in its prime, he bears the soul-crushing sins of past kills and he's branded with the scars of shame inflicted by the woman he betrayed.
Isabeau Chandler is a Borneo shifter who's never forgiven Conner--or forgotten him. The mating urge is still with her, and when she crossed Conner's path, passions burn like wildfire. But as Conner's mission draws Isabeau closer, another betrayal lies waiting in the shadows--and it's the most perilous and intimate one of all.
My Review:
Wild Fire begins with Connor Vega, who after some times, returns to the Panama rainforest. When he was called on a mission and seduces the daughter of a dangerous man,, he finds his mate, but only to betray her in the end, and knowing that he will always ache for her but will never see her once again especially after all of the pain that he has caused her. But he is shocked to discover that she is alive and has come to him for help, something he never expected. Isabeau Chandler, after falling in love with Conner and sharing the most intimate experiences with him, and then have him betray her, she knows she can never trust herself to open herself up to him again. But after Connor's mother is viciously murdered and children are kidnapped including his younger brother, she knows she needs his help to rescue these children who have been kidnapped by a monster, and knowing that only he can help save them, despite the costs to her personally, but she is willing to sacrifice anything to save these poor children, who have no one else to help them. But sparks fly, as both Connor and Isabeau are working together toward a common goal, and heat and passion flare up in the wild rain forest, where they both discover that they still are in love despite the past hurts. Only love will heal both of their hearts, only when they choose to embrace it and take that leap of faith.
Wild Fire is part of Christine Feehan's Leapord series, and its been a remarkable journey to be able to read the books that she has so far written in this series. This is a remarkable author who has such a great talent for writing romance in the Paranormal world, and making it come truly alive and riveting for the author. In Wild Fire Connor is a Leopard as is Isabeau but she doesn't comprehend that fact. Her father she loved dearly and after losing him she blames Connor for the betrayal, but the passion that once existed between them is still vibrant now that they are together once more, although circumstances are different. Isabeau is also feeling confused, especially since her inner leopard is coming out, and inside she is terrified knowing that she is Connor's mate. Wild Fire is a remarkable adventure past betrayal and hurt, and learning of love and forgiveness. Christine Feehan has packed this novel with the best of the best characteristics of her fabulous writers, that astounds readers across the globe!!!
