The Hero (Kev Merripen)
Kev, not wanted by his real father, is sent to his uncle, and treated like a dog, and now is hardened because of his past. Kev is a intimidating man, but there is one family that doesn't feel intimidated by him, and thats the Hathaways, who are more unusual of gadjes that one would expect, but there is one Hathaway who is his downfall and must harden himself to her, so that he doesn't succumb, because he knows that he could  very well hurt her, and that's the last thing that he would do, and she deserves much more than a rom, but he finds it hard letting go for she is what he lives and breathes for....

The Heroine (Winnifred Hathaway)
Win, has been sickly ever since she suffered from a sickness years ago, and survived, but her body has always been weak since then, and she dreams of the day that she can be strong and healthy again. When she hears of a doctor in France, who has had success with people in similar conditions as herself, she decides to go, and although she is gone for two years, she hopes that the love that she has for Kev, will be strong enough to make him realize how she could never live without him in her life....

My Thoughts
Seduce Me At Sunrise is the second installment in the Hathaway series by Lisa Kleypas. From the first book in the series, we see and ache for Win, for suffering as she does. I just have loved Kev and Win, and loved reading their story, so achingly sweet yet a tormenting side to the story as well. Kev is a man that is haunted by his past and has suffered much and doesn't reveal his true self to Win, knowing that she could never accept him. But Win is strong and spirited and fights for those that she loves, even stubborn and pig headed Rom's. There were parts of this story that made me cry, and parts that made me laugh, and was a entertaining story to say the least. It stole my heart from the first chapter!!! AN UNFORGETTABLE STORY!!!!

My Favorite Quote
What if this were the last moment you ever had with me? Wouldn't you have been sorry not to tell me how you felt? Wouldn't you--" Merripen covered her mouth with his, desperate for a way to make her quiet. His arms went around her, wrapping her in his vast strength, holding her against the hardness of his body. And then everything ignited, and they were both lost in a furor of need.

Synopsis
When an unexpected inheritance elevates her family to the ranks of the aristocracy, Amelia Hathaway discovers that tending to her younger sisters and wayward brother was easy compared to navigating the intricacies of the ton. Even more challenging: the attraction she feels for the tall, dark, and dangerously handsome Cam Rohan.

Wealthy beyond most men’s dreams, Cam has tired of society’s petty restrictions and longs to return to his “uncivilized” Gypsy roots. When the delectable Amelia appeals to him for help, he intends to offer only friendship—but intentions are no match for the desire that blindsides them both. The Hero (Cam Rohan)
Cam Rohan is half gypsy and half Irish. Even though he is 'Rom' he lives in a 'Gadje' world. But when she goes o Cam for help, she never fully realized how circumstances can change, and how the desire she feels for Cam could consume them both, but als bring her the greatest happiness she could find in his arms.

My Thoughts
Mine Till Midnight is the first in the Hathaway Series by Lisa Kleypas. After reading the Wallflower series and seeing the sex gypsy'Cam' that we all know and love. It was  a thrill to read Mine Till Midnight, and even though this isn't the first time that I have read this book, I just fall in love with it every time that I read it. Cam and Amelia are one of my favorite couples that Kleypas' has created. I found this story to be invigorating and each page enthralling. Keeps you on your toes with every adventure, every kiss and each moment that will leave you breathless...A UNFORGETTABLE STORY!!!

My Favorite Quote
"What about your freedom?" Amelia asked, snuggling close as he lay beside her "Are you sorry to have lost it?"
"No love," Cam reached to turn down the lamp "I've finally found it. Right here, with you."

MY REVIEW
Summary:
Poppy Hathaway is the only one of her family that craves a life of normalacy, to not have big adventures, since her life with her family is filled with one adventure after another. Poppy is in the latter part of the season and at the Rutledge hotel where they are staying, on a race for a ferret, and stumbles in a secret passageway she finds herself in Harry Rutledge's arms and dazzled by his sensational kisses, Harry who is a temptation in and of itself to Poppy. Harry Rutledge wants Poppy and will do anything he can to get her. So when they are caught in a compromising position, which forced Poppy to marry the one man that has manipulated everything to this point. Even though she doesn't trust him, and is reluctant to marry, she knows that if she doesn't her life will be ruined. So she marries him, not exactly knowing what to expect out of Harry Rutledge, however she never realized that even though things started a bit rocky, their union would be filled with passion, love and trust.

The Hero
Harry Rutledge never had the respect or love from his father growing up in New York City, America, so he has never been loved or been able to reach other to love someone else. Harry is very successful in London, and very smart with science and has even helped the Government with some inventions. Then he stumbles across Poppy Hathaway the most sensible of them all, and he finds her fascinating with her beautiful smile and her smart conversations, he is intrigued by her, and after their kiss he vows that he must have her, he just never expected such a delightful package that would teach him about love and happiness.

The Heroine
Poppy Hathaway is the Fourth of the Hathaways, and the most sensible. Her family is always filled with near catastrophes, accidents all around, animals everywhere she goes, and life full of adventure. But what she craves is peace and quiet in the country. Poppy is very intellectual and loves to converse with people on those topics, however since she has entered society she must converse in boring conversating except when she is with Harry, who seems intrigued by her.  But when she is forced to marry the scoundrel that manipulated the events, she is reluctant to every trust him, but starts to see that he needs love and affection more than anyone, because he has never felt it.

My Thoughts:
This is my Third time reading Tempt Me At Twilight, and I just love this one, and one of my favorites written by this author and it is my favorite book of this series. I just have always loved Poppy, and I also love Harry, he is the kind of male heros that I love to read about in love stories. The kind that is so Alpha and wants to take control of everything, but what he needs more is a fiery female who will show him love and tenderness and Poppy surely does this, and we see a change in Harry throughout the story. Tempt Me At Twilight is a tender romance that will definitely make you fall in love all over again, a delightful love story!!!

Book Review-Love In The Afternoon

Love In The Afternoon
Hathaway Series
Lisa Kleypas
St Martins, 332 Pages
Published June 2010
Victorian Historical Romance
ISBN: 0312605390
Synopsis:
As a lover of animals and nature, Beatrix Hathaway has always been more comfortable outdoors than in the ballroom. Even though she participated in the London season in the past, the classic beauty and free-spirited Beatrix has never been swept away or seriously courted…and she has resigned herself to the fate of never finding love. Has the time come for the most unconventional of the Hathaway sisters to settle for an ordinary man—just to avoid spinsterhood?
Captain Christopher Phelan is a handsome, daring soldier who plans to marry Beatrix’s friend, the vivacious flirt Prudence Mercer, when he returns from fighting abroad. But, as he explains in his letters to Pru, life on the battlefield has darkened his soul—and it’s becoming clear that Christopher won’t come back as the same man. When Beatrix learns of Pru’s disappointment, she decides to help by concocting Pru’s letters to Christopher for her. Soon the correspondence between Beatrix and Christopher develops into something fulfilling and deep…and when Christopher comes home, he’s determined to claim the woman he loves. What began as Beatrix’s innocent deception has resulted in the agony of unfulfilled love—and a passion that can’t be denied…

My Review:
Beatrix Hathaway has always loved and adored animals, and has studied them throughout the years of her young life. Because of her passion for animals, she doesn't have many suitors, or lots of friends, but she prefers animals to people most times. When one of her friends, Prudence,  gets a letter from Captain Christopher Phelan, she decides to write to him when her friend finds his musings silly, however Beatrix doesn't believe that, she reaches out to him and they connect in a way that neither of them expected. However as time progresses, Beatrix finds that she is falling in love with Christopher, but that he doesn't know who the author of the letters really is, so she ends them, knowing how furious he would be if he found out it was her, whom he once referred to as belonging in the stables. But before she does this she switches to letters, one way she writes down some of her feelings, and asks him to come and find her. When Christopher comes back from the war, claimed by England a War Hero, he is reclusive, refusing at first to go out into Society, where Prudence is. He meets his match in Beatrix, although she is very different from when he last saw her, she is now beautiful and vibrant, but despite his attraction to her, he is in love with the woman that wrote to him, Prudence, even though he doesn't know that Beatrix was the one to truly write the letters. But they keep crossing paths, and find a passion that in each others arms.

Love In The Afternoon, although a very good romance, was not my favorite of the series. I was going to wait for this one to be available in paperback in my library, however this came available in audio form, so I decided why not, I like listening to Lisa Kleypas Books audio style, so I did just that, and just loved the narrator of Love In The Afternoon. I found this story to be unique and definitely filled with romance. And even though at the beginning I wanted Beatrix to tell Christopher the truth at first, I wasn't disappointed when she finally did, it seemed quite perfect, especially his reaction, which I won't spoil for you, you will just have to read it!! I have always loved Beatrix, she is one of my favorite Hathaways, especially with her special gift toward animals, through the previous books its been quite cute to see her with all of her animals. And I loved getting to know her throughout this one, and Kleypas never disappoints. Love In The Afternoon is filled with witty interactions, passionate fun, and characters that are like a breath of fresh air, this is definitely a 5 in my book!!

Book Review-Married By Morning

Married By Morning
Hathaway Series
Lisa Kleypas
St Martins, 321 Pages
Published June 2010
Victorian Historical Romance
ISBN: 0-312-60538
Synopsis
For two years, Catherine Marks has been a paid companion to the Hathaway sisters—a pleasant position, with one caveat. Her charges’ older brother, Leo Hathaway, is thoroughly exasperating. Cat can hardly believe that their constant arguing could mask a mutual attraction. But when one quarrel ends in a sudden kiss, Cat is shocked at her powerful response—and even more so when Leo proposes a dangerous liaison.
Leo must marry and produce an heir within a year to save his family home. Catherine’s respectable demeanor hides a secret that would utterly destroy her. But to Leo, Cat is intriguing and infernally tempting, even to a man resolved never to love again. The danger Cat tried to outrun is about to separate them forever—unless two wary lovers can find a way to banish the shadows and give in to their desires…

My Review
Married By Morning is the Fourth in the Hathaway Series, where we begin with Leo's story. Leo Hathaway has always found Catherine Marks, the paid companion to his sisters, mysterious yet suspects her of something else he can't define, and these two go at it like cats and dogs, until one day their arguing ends up in a blazing passionate embrace, that leaves them both stunned and breathless, and leaving them wondering what are they supposed to do now, after they realize how much they are attracted to one another. When Leo finds out that he must marry within a year to save his family's home, Leo is determined more than ever to find out the secret that Cat has been running from. But despite all the evidence to the contrary, Leo knows that he can never love again, knowing it could well destroy him, however what he feels for Cat is undeniable desire that he refuses to deny, and is wary of the love he vowed to never give into, but will find himself at a battle of hearts with Cat, the one woman he has vowed to himself never to love, but will that be his undoing?

Married by Morning was a sensation romance that I found myself hesitant to put down, and flipping through the pages as fast as I could read through them. Leo as a younger man, has loved once, but that love haunted him and almost destroyed him body and soul, so he has vowed never to love despite the fact that his siblings have found true love and happiness the likes of which he has never found for himself. Catherine Marks, hides beneath the facade of a companion to the young Hathways girls, whom she has helped polish into society. But the more she and Leo admit their passion for one another, the closer her past seems to haunt her, and she fears that she will have to leave the only family she has ever known and loved, especially the one man that could break her heart. I found the engaging interaction between these two intense at times, and witty at others, that I couldn't help myself laughing throughout the book. I found Married By Morning to be a sexy, with alluring characters, and a romantically filled plot that had me breathless in anticipation with what was going to occur next in the suspensful plot that left me feeling satisfied. Truly a historical romance that you don't want to miss out on or this wonderfully written series by a superb author that has stolen the heart of this avid romance reader!
