My Review
When Lisette's father dies suddenly, and she and her two half brothers and her mother (her fathers mistress) gets kicked out of their home by their fathers heir and their eldest brother, they run to France, knowing that its the only safe place they can go to. Now years later, Lisette and her brother Dom have returned to England, where Dom has been working on setting up his investigating business, with his sister aiding him. But then Dom is called away on a case up in Edinburgh, and Lisette is left on her own. Then the Duke of Lyons comes knocking on her door, insisting on the location of her other brother, Tristan, who knows the location of the Dukes brother, but Tristan has disappeared. So to safeguard her brother, so goes with Maximillian in search of her brother. On their journey they are forced to pretend to be husband and wife, and as they are alone, a desire builds between the two, a desire that threatens to consume them both.

What The Duke Desires is the first book in the "Duke's Men" series, which is the most recent series by this author. Sabrina Jeffries is a favorite of mine, when it comes to romances, and has been for many years. Many of her titles are at the top of my list as favorites. So I knew I was going to fall in love with What The Duke Desires and I was right, I could barely put this one down, and I haven't read a story so fast in quite a while, I was so immersed with the story I could barely put this down last night to go to bed. What The Duke Desires is a book I found through my local library. What The Duke Desires is a story that is set in Regency England, but most of the book is set in France. When I started reading this book, there is quite a overwhelming feeling of emotion from the beginning. We get introduced into the Bonnaud family, and as this is the first official book of the series, I felt like it did a well job in setting up the series, and I loved seeing these two together. There was such a sizzling connection between this couple from the very beginning.

Maximillian, is the type of hero that gives you tingles. Max, is a Duke, and ever since his older brother disappeared as a child when he was a boy, he has been raised to that position. He is very arrogant, commanding, and must get his own way at all times. So when he meets Lisette he is astounded that a little piece of a woman would even think of standing up to him. I love the scenes, especially in the first meeting, definitely will give you giggles and balls of laughs. As their connection deepens, the plot thickens, and tensions rise, and passion erupts.

A Delightful romance that will take you breath away. I loved the style of this story and especially the way this series began. I couldn't help but fall in love with Lisette and Max and their families. This story was intoxicating and addicting, a love story that is intense at times, and sweet at others. The heat in this story isn't way hot, but isn't light either. I felt like it had the perfect balance, that is my favorite style of sensuality. A remarkably written romance that stole my heart!!! BREATHTAKING!!! A Must read for historical romance lovers.

My Review 
I was thrilled when I was given this ARC, even though I am not a huge fan of novella's, I found this was to be thoroughly entertaining. It definitely didn't have no slow start, very quick paced and easy to get into the flow of the story. I really enjoyed the charming characters that had me from the first page of the story.

It starts out with a young woman trying to steal (borrow) a horse, to escape a forced marriage and ends up a prisoner in a Gothic castle of a house with Colin Hunt who has recently returned from India. Instantly we see sparks fly between these two like fireworks, and I found their romance a adventure. It was a quick and fast read and I probably read in within a hour, only 150 in my nook, so it didn't take very long to read----which is sometimes nice. I felt instantly drawn into this endearing love story that captivated me from the first line. Sabrina Jeffries always delivers in  a outstanding way where she writes such stories with charm and flair. LOVED IT!!!

My Thoughts
Snowy Night With A Stranger is  a Anthology compiled of three stories by three great historical romance authors: Jane Feather, Sabrina Jeffries and Julia London. I haven't read anything by Jane Feather, but I have read books by Sabrina Jeffries and Julia London, and I truly loved reading this story, definitely filled my heart with the true spirit of Christmas. All three stories have a commonality throughout each story, all of them getting caught in a snow storm. The first story A Holiday Gamble is about Edward Vasey, is caught in a snowstorm, by highwaymen, and he has no other choice than to take refuge with a neighbor at Selby Hall, where he meets Georgiana, who is engaged to someone else, but all can see it is not by her own choice. There is a spark that fly's between Edward and Georgiana, and even though both of them are bound to marry other people, their love is ignited by one kiss during the magical spirit of Christmas. Having never read anything by Jane Feather, I was intrigued by this story, and once I started, I couldn't put it down, I was entranced by how these two would ever find a way to be together. I loved these two characters, they were vivid throughout all of the story, and this is the first christmas story I have read for this year, and definitely set me in the mood for the upcoming Holiday. The second story When Sparks Fly involved a story with a young woman, an heiress, who has searched for love but because she is one of the most sought after because of her money, has yet to find someone she would want to spend the rest of her life with. So traveling with her aunt and niece and nephews, they are caught in a storm, and stranded, but then are rescued by the "Black Baron" who takes them to his home until the storm passes. Martin, rumored as the "Black Baron" because of a painful accident that involved his brother, now has few servants, because of his dangerous experiments on explosive, and doesnt wish for anyone to get hurt. Martin knows that because of his work he may never find a woman to love and have a family. when he meets Elinor, whose spirit and passion about life, stirs him up in a way he never expected, he finds himself drawn to her and she starts to melt away the ice around his heart, and open up to love. I truly loved When Sparks Fly, and this was the story I read the fastest, Sabrina Jeffries, is the type of author that will draw you into a story like no author does. This story was no different, it was heart warming, passionate and filled with unexpecting adventure. Snowy Night With A Highlander Fiona Haines, is from Scotland originally, but followed her brother to London, and went into society, but never managed to fit in, because of her outspoken ways. Now her brother is lying low in Scotland, and Fiona means to find him. So she goes with a rugged highlander, who is protective but quiet, and having suffered as he is scarred, but Fiona doesn't care about that. During their journey to Scotland, a snowstorm forced them to awake a inner passion, that will open the door to true love. Julia London is a author that I enjoy reading from, but sometimes I find her books hard to read at times. This story I did read, but it started out a bit slow for me, and never really picked up the pace until the very end. Although I did enjoy the characters in this story, I found the plot was missing and there needed to be something more to draw in this reader. I was a bit disappointed with it, but it was a nice story. However as a whole, this book was a holiday treasure to read, filled with romance, adventure and mystery, and very entertaining.

Summary:
 Venetia Campbell goes for a visit to her childhood home in Scotland, but at a ball she meets a stranger at the masque ball, and dances with him who rouses up her senses after sharing a sensual kiss that makes her melt into him. But then when she finds herself kidnapped by Sir Lachlan Ross, whom she knew as a young girl. Now the one who is feared as the Scottish Scourge, she still finds him tempting as chocolate, only much more wicked. Lachlan, knows that despite him knowing Venetia as a youth, he knows he must get back to her father for all that he owes him and his clan, for once a prosperous one, now struggling to survive. So he kidnaps Venetia, even though he wishes he had another choice, but knows that this will be the only way to get what is owed to him and to his people, whom he has the responsibility to. So now despite his plans to use her, a fiery passion is discovered between the two, and a tender love that could heal betrayal and hurt of the past.

The Hero 
Lachlan Ross knew Venetia as a youth, and although he was close to his mother, his father would beat him for trivial things, things that would only be normal for a young boy. Then he joins the regiment, and is rumored to be dead, however he is far from that after Venetia's fathers men attack him and almost kill him. Lachlan also known as the Scottish Scourge, to provide for his people, he knows he must find a way for the debt to his people to be paid, so he hatches up a plan to kidnap the one person who is filled with innocent and goodness. But after coming face to face with her, he is entranced by this beauty whom he once knew as a lad.
The Heroine 
Venetia has waited 16 years to return to her beloved Scotland. Even though she isn't considered Scottish, she considers herself very much a Scot. Still unmarried, Venetia has yet to find a husband. Before her mother died she promised that she would only marry a  man that stirred up her senses. Then she meets Lachlan Ross who does stirs up her senses, however he has kidnapped her and plans to use her to make her father pay a debt, which she doubts, but after learning certain truths she wonders if she ever knew her father or the young lad whom she worshiped as a young girl.

My Thoughts:
Beware A Scot's Revenge is the third installment in the School for Heiresses series.  I have been able to read this whole series, although not in order, and this being my second time reading Beware A Scot's Revenge, and despite it being a couple years since I have read it, I still found myself mystified by such a magical romance. This is my favorite of the series, and I fell in love with both of these in depth characters that were portrayed so well throughout the story. The plot was enticing and exciting, filled with romance, adventure, intrigue and a powerfully portrayed romantic story. This is definitely a first rate romance that will suck you into the story from the first line! So if you have yet to read this one or any books from this author, I would recommend running to the store right now and treat yourself to a 'romantic treasure'.

My Review:
Maria Butterfield has come to England looking for her fiancee (Nathan) who has seemed to gone missing. She is from Baltimore in America. Her father had recently passed away, and having been the owner of a shipping line, the only way to get her inheritance is to locate Nathan, who was her father's partner. He came to England at her father's request, to negotiate a sale of clipper ships. However after sending him many letters and not receiving a word about his whereabouts, Maria decided to come to London to find him, thinking that he has been hurt or taken. She is accompanied by her cousin Freddy, who thinks carrying a sword with him will protect her. During their search they come across a brothel that may be the key to finding Nathan, however events occur which puts Maria face to face with Oliver Sharpe, the Marquess of Stoneville. Oliver, along with his other siblings, have been instructed by their grandmother that unless they marry within one year, that they will lose all of their inheritance. Oliver is outraged, and comes up with a plan to trick his grandmother into giving up this "folly" thinking that she is just tricking them and would never go along with it. It decides to go to a brothel, and pay a woman to act as his fiancee although he never thought that he would come across a young american woman that puts a sword to his throat. (which that alone should get you interested in this book :)   ) Oliver acts nonchalantly of course, and convinces her of a better way to resolve the current issue at hand. He suggest that they do a trade of sorts, if Maria will act as his fiancee for the time being, he will assist her in her search for her lost fiancee. Where Oliver hopes to trick his grandmother into reengaging from this plot which he believes is just a bluff on her side of things. Well both Oliver and Maria will be taken on a adventure of their lives where they discover the hidden power of love in the midst of any circumstance.

I definitely believe that Sabrina Jeffries is one of the best Historical Romance authors out there!!! She has such a way about her writing and the way she brings her characters alive. I enjoy reading each and every one of her books. The Truth About Lord Stoneville is the first in her current series, the Hellions of Helstead Hall. Oliver is a arrogant but has a past that no other knows about except for himself. He is filled with guilt thinking he caused his parents death, and has lived with that for many years. The moment he comes in contact with Maria, he secretly knows that his life will never be the same. For she brings a vitality back to his reality and even though he has this act to play out, in his heart he is playing for her heart for real. Maria is at this point poor to say the least, due to her father's will, so when Oliver tells her of this plot that she must go along with, she only see's it as a means to a end. She worries about her fiancee and where he is at, but despite all that she starts to have tender feelings for this rogue, whose heated kisses set her body on fire. I truly enjoyed the way that this story played out, although this was a enjoyable story, it isn't one of my fav's of Jeffries, but I loved it all the same. It had such a spark of vitality about it, that really sets the reader to life. It was a very enchanting read with compelling characters both main and sub, and with a aching desire that sets the room ablaze.
