Synopsis
Having narrowly averted an (under)world war, Cat Crawfield wants nothing more than a little downtime with her vampire husband, Bones. Unfortunately, her gift from New Orleans' voodoo queen just keeps on giving--leading to a personal favor that sends them into battle once again, this time against a villainous spirit.

Centuries ago, Heinrich Kramer was a witch hunter. Now, every All Hallows Eve, he takes physical form to torture innocent women before burning them alive. This year, however, a determined Cat and Bones must risk all to send him back to the other side of eternity--forever. But how do you kill a killer who's already long dead?
My Review
Summary
Recently managed to avert a war, Cat is more than looking forward to some quality time with her husband Bones...however it seems like trouble tends to find her whether she wants it to or not. With a government official trying to undermine her and all her hard work that she has achieved over the years, she is trying to stay afloat and keep her friends out of trouble. Then when a ghost asks for their aid, in stopping a killer ghost, Cat and Bones endeavor to try to find a way to stop him. But then unexpectedly Kramer (the killer ghost), has set a obsessed fixation on Cat, and is set to drive her crazy. Cat knows she has little time to protect the innocent women that Kramer has set his sets out on to torment and kill. But the one question remains...is it possible even with Cat working with Bones, to destroy someone that has already died?

My Thoughts
I have actually read this series, but not this book. I was able to get a copy of the audio book, since it was put on hold still at the library. So I thought why not? I do love a good love story on audio. First of all, I loved the voice, it did great with accents and displaying a variety of emotions. Second, I just love Cat and Bones....they are just so good together, and its so fun to see them on another adventure together, one which seems daunting to say the least. It was also fun to see all the friends of Cat and Bones play a role in the story as well such as Spade, Denise, Ian, and even her good ole' Uncle who just is so amusing. There was also lots of action and suspense that felt like home for me. Whenever I read any of Frost's books, I feel so at easy and can just cuddle on my bed or couch and read them and feel so happy. They can make you laugh, take one on exciting adventures, and pull at your heartstrings. There wasn't really anything I didn't like about this book. I love how Cat is so strong, even with Bones at her side, she fights her own battles and I just love that about her. Its like she has no fear. On a plus note: we got to see plenty of Spade and Denise..even good ole' Ian....I know he isn't the greatest guy...but he just makes me laugh. He is so absurd but stands by his friends...so you can't help but love his bad boy routine. Another great addition to an amazing series that will just leave you breathless from beginning to end. There is such a charming and endearing quality about these books, that just keep you turning the pages as fast as one can read them.  Now I am wanting to re read the series...I just might have to do that soon. Its been way too long since I have read them. Anyone want to join in?

  1. This series get better with each book. I feel like they are my family, Cat & Bones, Spade & Denise and even Ian. I love reading about them. I can't wait to read Vlad's book coming out this month. Really excited for that!

  2. Great review. Love this series with Cat and Bones. I would love to listen to it for the accent. I have yet to read the last two. Been sitting on my shelves since they came out. I really want to re-read from beginning before I start them and write reviews. Hopefully soon.
