Summary :
The moment Valiant see's Tammy crossing into his territory, he only knows her as His to keep. No matter the cost, he can't resist tasting her charms, and plans on keeping her for himself, however Tammy isn't one to just accept being someone else's pet. Although the passion is heated and explosive and she is drawn to Valiant in a way she doesn't truly know how to react to, she also realizes she needs more than possession, she needs love and until she has it she refuses to just accept things as is, and escapes and returns to her normal daily life. But when she is kidnapped, because of coming in contact with New Species, Valiant comes to rescue her, and refuses to let her go this time. Tammy starts to realize how much she has missed him and his magical touch, and she knows that she will stay with him no matter what.

The Hero (Valiant)
Valiant, was one of the New Species that suffered more than most, his genes are closer to that of the animal than human, and his features appear more lion, and so those DNA traits are stronger in him than others. When Tammy enters his life, all he wants to do is possess her and keep her and care for her, but he starts to realize that Tammy is the only one that he would sacrifice everything for.

The Heroine (Tammy Shasta)
Tammy, never has experienced so much fear in her 28 years of life until she meets Valiant, however when she is locked inside his cabin for a period of time, she starts to see the true man behind the beast, a man that could love and cherish, however it takes some time before she is able to trust in her instincts and in her heart to know if she truly loves him. When danger comes to take their future away from them both, she will do anything to stay by his side.

My Thoughts 
Valiant is the third installment in this series, a series I am just starting to get totally hooked on, and in some ways I think I like it way more than the breeds series, I find that there is more of a romance in these, even though its border line erotica, my feeling is that its more toward a romance fiction, and I just love the way the author creates this world, and the characters are so deeply woven in the pages, this reader couldn't help but just fall madly in love. From the first time I read of Valiant in "Slade" I think I just fell in love with him too!!!~ Valiant is the type of characters that is more Alpha than anything else, he is very loyal and when he makes a commitment to a woman its definitely forever no matter the circumstances. Tammy is the type of heroine that I just love, even though she fears Valiant in the beginning she challenges and defies him, full of courage she doesn't back down from a fight. I just love that about her, yet there is definitely a gentle nature about her.....and I just loved seeing their romance blossom and was so disappointed when I thought the story ended way too soon for me, I think the pages must have just flown by lol. There was so many things that I loved about this book, and even re read it already because I loved it so much. Five rating for me on this one!!!! Not a thing I can complain about though!!!

Summary:
When Trisha first meets Slade, she is his doctor after the new species are first rescued and released, and he promised sensual bliss, but when she see's him again he doesn't even remember her. Trisha is more than curious, naturally about new species, and now that she is their Doctor, she never thought that when dealing with Slade he wouldn't remember his erotic promises to her or that hot searing kiss, but she is determined to make him live up to his promises to her. When Slade and Trisha are thrown together for survival in the wilderness, with men hunting them down, they know they must do whatever they can to survive, and sparks fly and before either of them realizes it they don't want to let each other go when they reach safety but is there a future in store for them?

The Hero 
Slade, the pain and grief from what both he and his fellow people have suffered is still fresh, and even though they are free, they are always in danger, and when he ends up having to save the doc's life, he doesn't know if he can let Trisha go, not after he has only had a small taste of her, and Slade knows that he could never let her go now that he has something to hold onto that is His.


The Heroine 
Trisha, is first and foremost a doctor,and loves her work and thrives with the New Species. Despite the danger involved, she has never felt more satisfied with her work, but now she has another complication in her already hectic life...a new species male named Slade. He sends a shiver through her system whenever he is near, and his kiss nearly sends her to her knees but what she fears the most is losing him.


My Thoughts 
Slade, the second installment in the New Species series, was actually pretty good, not as good as the first, however I did enjoy it to an extent, there were a couple of aspects that I didn't like, it wasn't exactly smooth sailing throughout the story, however I really liked the romance that develops and I really soaked up all the action and suspense, which was a lot more than I ever expected. Overall it was a average good romance, scorching bed scenes, but there was also a sense of a solid love story. Even though the blurb says it can be a stand alone series, I would disagree, you lose understanding the back story which I think is vital from what I have read so far. Overall a good read, but it did drag a bit in the middle however it picked up later where I felt I could get more into the story. Other than that I would say it would be a good romance. I probably won't re read this but I am glad that I did read it.....A average good romance that you can be content with on a certain level.

The Heroine 
When Ellie is approached to be a spy and help gather information to bring down a powerful organization Mercile Industries, she wonders if she will be able to accomplish it...however the more she comes to understand what is really happening she knows that she would do anything to bring an end to the horrors occurring. When Ellie knows that one of the patients "Fury" is about to be tortured in the worst way and then killed, she aches for him and knows that she must save him no matter the cost even if the cost is herself. After she is able to help bring down Mercile, and all the prisoners are set free, she is then met face to face with the one man that believes she betrayed him....and even though she cares for him she wonders if he will ever be able to forgive her.

The Hero 
Fury, also known as patient 416, ever since he can remember was abandoned by his mother, and left at Mercile, to be experimented on and tortured continually....but never giving up on the thought of being free one day....but when a young woman comes into his life...he knows he will never be the same. Her sweet and compassionate nature draws him in until she betrays him and abandons him and he vows to seek revenge on her. Fury is filled with determination and so much hatred until he finds out what she really did for him and his people and instead he finds that instead of killing her he wants to just love her and keep her as his for as long as he lives.

My Thoughts 
When I first saw this title on Amazon I was looking for something different, and even though its a bit similar to Lora Leigh's series...there are differences enough that makes it unique and I think in some ways I like it even more than Leigh's breeds series but in other ways I would prefer Leigh's books for the most part though I found that this was the kind of book I could mostly just relax in and enjoy and at the beginning I kinda started to compare the similarities between the two series however as the book continued I got so lost in the story that I stopped comparing and started to really delve into it....Fury is the first story of the series and I would definitely recommend if you start reading the series to start at the beginning. I think one of the things that I loved the most about this book....is seeing the story develop...since there definitely is a back story to the main love story here....but it was also exciting to see Fury's and Ellie romance spark and sizzle...yet there were calm moments too....I just loved the romance of the story that starts to develop between the two...there is alot of action and suspense and everything that will get you at the edge of your seat but I also found there was an endearing quality to the storyline...that just pulled me in a bit further, and I couldn't put it down until I finished the last page. I definitely would recommend this to anyone that loves a good romance with a twist of suspense and mystery.

Its Been Crazy!!!

I really apologize for being gone so so long....first my computer crashed ( I must have the worst luck ever) again, and I got transferred for my job so I was in a transition phase and working 60 hours a week, but things have calmed down a bit and life is so crazy but hopefully I will be able to devote some time to reading and updating this blog again.....Hope life has been treating you all great!!!!!

Summary:
Silence, after losing her husband was at her wits end, until Mikey O'Connor left at her doorstep a little girl, who Silence considered her own, until Mickey enters her life again, and takes Mary from her, so when she goes to confront him, she finds out that Mary is in danger from Mickey's enemies, and the only way to make sure Mary is safe and protected is to stay with her father, Mickey O Connor, and even though he isn't to be trusted, she knows that she has no choice. However what Silence never anticipated was to fall in love with the king river pirate himself, and that theirs is a love and a passion that sneaks up on them.....

The Hero (Mickey O'Connor)
Mickey, was born and grew up in St. Giles, and in order to survive, became a river pirate, and eventually worked his way up to be the King of the slums, and now his nemesis is out to get him through anyone that is close to him. Mickey has never truly loved anyone, until Silence comes into his life, and changes his world, to the point he can't imagine living without her and her goodness in his life....

The Heroine( Silence Hollingbrook)
Once Silence was forced to save her husband, by sacrificing herself, not knowing that the love her husband had for her would never be enough, and now that he has died, and now a widow doesn't believe in much anymore, until Mary shows up in her life, and Silence finds joy in life again, but when she is forced to live with the one person that ruined her life, she knows she is in over her head, but is willing to sacrifice anything for Mary's sake, but she never though she would fall in love with the King of St. Giles, or that she would see beneath the mask

My Thoughts 
Scandalous Desires is the third installment in this series, I did read the first book but I didn't read the second, so I was glad that when I read this one, that I wasn't totally lost or anything. It did help to read the first book though, and I was thrilled to get my hands on Silence's book...I just fell in love with this character in the previous book, but I never thought she would be paired with Mickey, who is the kind of hero you wonder how could this romance ever work out.....but luckily it did and in the most surprising way...with twists and turns in the plot that will leave you feeling pleased. I really loved getting to know these characters alot more....especially Mickey, and digging a little bit deeper into his past, and I also loved the romance in this story...it was a bit different but this story was full of mystery, adventure and witty interaction that will leave you wanting for more and more....just LOVED it!!!

Miranda, with her five brothers and sister after losing their parents, have been stuck in a orphanage, under horrid conditions and so when they find a ad in the newspaper for a mail order bride, Miranda knows this is her way out to save her siblings, now that she is eighteen and about to be kicked out, and does the only sensible choice and goes all the way to Texas with her two brothers, only her future husband has no idea about her situation or the brothers she is bringing along with her. Jake, having lost his wife and their child in childbirth, he knows he will never love another like his late wife, but he is desperate for a wife and a mother to his daughter, and so he puts an ad in the paper for a wife, and now that he is married he is shocked to find out that she is not only very beautiful....but has brought along her two younger brothers with her, and even though he is determined to never make love to her, she fills his senses like none other and soon he craves her touch and doesn't know how long he can stand not touching her especially when Miranda is so determined to consumate their marriage, he has no real chance and he finds a real passion in her arms.....

The Hero (Jake Creed)
Jake, desperate to save himself from getting ruined from his nemesis Blackthorne, he also must find a wife and a mother for his young daughter, so when he puts an ad in the paper, he never though he would get such a quick response, or that he would find her so desirable, but he knows he must stand his ground. He made a promise to himself that after he lost his first wife to childbirth he would never subject another woman to the same fate, but he never thought he would fall in love with Miranda and he never though he would let go of his promise just to spend one night in her arms....

The Heroine (Miranda Wentworth)
After Miranda lost both of her parents in a house fire, she being badly injured herself, ended up in the Chicago Orphanage with her two brothers and three sisters, and now that she is eighteen, she is about to be kicked out and seperated from her siblings, so they hatch a plan to get them all out of this place, however nothing ever goes as planned, but she finds that Jake is what she never expected in different ways but she is determined to seduce him if necessary to make him see the light.

My Thoughts 
Texas Bride is the ninth installment in the Bitter Creek series, but unlike the other books in the series, it is set in the 1800's, and having read most of the books in this series, I was very excited to read this one, and especially when I read the blurb, I couldn't wait to buy this one. Texas Bride, was a astounding read....and I just fell in love with both Miranda and Jake, both were the kind of characters that become deeply rooted. Both Jake and Miranda have gone through hardship in their lives, and only when they trust and love in each other are they able to heal and learn what it means to love. I just loved the conflict in the story on both sides, and it kept me on the edge of my seat most of the time, but at the same time I was just soaking up all the juicy details and Joan Johnston has become my favorite author again....one of my favorite things about this book would be the story line and the intimate connection that develops pretty quickly between Jake and Miranda....Definitely worth buying and reading!!!!  A Treasure Of A Read!!!

Summary:
Elizabeth, has worked very hard to make a fresh start, and with her store finally doing well, then one evening someone bursts into her store and attempts to rob her, and then a big kodiak bear saves the day....when Ronan saves Elizabeth from being killed, he ends up being blamed for attacking a human, and only with Elizabeth's testimony does he get free, and he desires to protect her from those who would seek revenge. Elizabeth at first doesn't want to believe in the danger that threatens both herself and her sister, but when she starts to realize who is really involved in getting revenge, she starts to realize that how much she needs Ronan and his protective nature, and sooner than she would ever think she starts to fall in love with the most adorable bear in the county, who despite being a shifter bear, is so tender and loving but she doesn't know if she can trust Ronan or her heart...but she doesn't dare mess up the best thing that has ever happened to her...

The Hero 
Ronan, is a shifter, and a kodiak bear, and when he first came to shiftertown he was very reserved and shy, but slowly started to extend outside of his shell, and now he is a foster dad to three bear shifters, who keep him on his toes, but when he meets Elizabeth, his protective streak goes through the roof, and he knows the longer she stays with him, he knows that she is his future mate if only he can get her to trust in their love.

The Heroine 
Elizabeth Chapman, has a dark secret that is a part of her past, and in order to protect herself and her sister she had to start a new life and make a fresh start, and right when she thought things were going well and that she could forget the past and focus on her future, but when she is robbed and Ronan saves the day she knows her life has changed forever if she can only trust in his love for her....

My Thoughts 
Bodyguard is a e book between the second and third in the series, and its Ronan's story, and those of you who have read this series, just fall in love with Ronan and I would love to find my own 'Ronan'. Bodyguard was such an endearing story and only .99 cents on Kindle, so I was thrilled when it wasn't a short story, but novel size, and I couldn't put it down I was so enthralled by the story. I have noticed that with Jennifer Ashley I think to myself am I really going to like this one, but I am always surprised by how good it is, how much I fall in love with the stories and the characters, and the same is true with Bodyguard. Its probably my favorite book so far in the series, of course the other two are not far behind, I think the one thing that I loved the most, is the romance in this story, so beautifully written and I also enjoyed the conflict, it wasn't the kind the would send your heart racing, yet it wasn't like it wasn't enough of conflict, I found it balanced the story really well and I definitely just loved every aspect....a fun and exciting, and it seemed to be a perfect addition to the best series Ashley has come up with yet....

  Yes, I would say the Blue Eyed Devil by Lisa Kleypas, I just didn't like the cover that much, but I loved the author so I tried it out and was so surprised by how good it was...so good that its on my top ten list of favorite romances.

When a mysterious yet sensual man bumps into her, and sparks fly, along with some kisses, and before Gretchen knows it she finds herself starting to care for Philippe, yet she senses deep pain and secrets in him, and when his true identity is revealed and other secrets, her feelings for Philippe only are strengthened, and even though there is a great danger if they are together, they both can't bear to lose one another.

The Hero (Phillipe Sabon)

Gretchen, has been sheltered much most of her life and is still a virgin, which is pretty unheard of in the states, but when she meets Phillipe, she sees respect and admiration in his gaze for her purity. Gretchen, has been living a boring and pretty much a blah kind of life, and after recently been abandoned by her boyfriend and losing her mother, she needs something more in her life, and she finds what has been missing when she meets Philippe, because he is the chance for a happily ever after, if she will just reach out and fight for what she wants.

My Thoughts 
 Lord Of The Desert is part of a five book series by Diana Palmer, and this is the first book that I have ever read from this author and I have to say I was pretty impressed, so impressed I plan on reading more of her books the next chance that I get. I had heard of her of course...I mean who hasn't....but I am a bit picky about contemporary and since I don't read it too often, I haven't read her until now, but when I read the blurb for this one, I knew I just had to read it, and I am so glad that I did!!! I think I loved everything about this book, the story line, the characters, the passion and excitement, the conflicts, and above all the powerful romance that just set my heart pounding....One of my favorite aspects of this story was the conflict, which I don't want to spoil so I won't share it (you will just have to read it to find out) however its the type of conflict that you rarely if ever see in a romance story and I just loved seeing the approach about it, and definitely developed a deeper aspect to the story...Overall I think I just loved every thing about Lord Of The Desert, A Treasure that was a pure delight!!!

The Heroine (Danith Mallow)
Danith, is a young woman that knows she will never have a heart mate, that she will have to settle for what she can get, and when she is about to be engaged to a young man who cares for her, she meets the intimidating Rand, who looks more like an outlaw than a noble, and doesn't understand why he would be pursuing her so unless he wants her for his mistress....but she knows she deserves better than that. When she finds out the real purpose in his advances, her life starts changing so dramatically right before her eyes that she doesn't know which way is right, even though her heart cries out for T'Ash.

My Thoughts 
Heart Mate is the first installment in this series, and it was a very likable read, the beginning was a bit slower to get into, but once I did I had a fantastic time with these two characters. Rand is so Alpha Male type, very possessive and stubborn to the extreme, and more resilient than most, although he does have a soft side. Danith, is somewhat spitfire but does have a more gentle nature about her. Danith's situation is unique, because she thinks of herself as beneath Rand, however she is anything but, and the heat in this book was very sizzling at times, I just love this world that Robin D. Owens has created, its so fun to get into the scene and just enjoy the ride. It wasn't the type of book that would keep you from setting it down, but it was more relax before the fire type of read, and a very enjoyable and exciting at times novel, that was so fun and sexy, and I can hardly wait to read the rest of the series.
