In New York Times bestselling author Elizabeth Boyle's fourth novel in the Rhymes With Love series, a resolute young woman goes toe-to-toe with the Beast of Mayfair...

She has no desire for love...

As she arrives in Mayfair, Louisa Tempest is horrified when her incorrigible cat bolts from the carriage and dashes into a neighbor's house, where she comes face-to-face with the reclusive Viscount Wakefield. But even more dismaying than his foul temper is the disarray in which she finds his home. Convinced his demeanor would improve if his household were in order, Louisa resolves to put everything to rights.

...until she meets the viscount who lives down the lane.

Much to his chagrin, Wakefield finds it impossible to keep the meddling Louisa out of his home, invading his daily life with her "improvements," and his nights with the tempting desires she sparks inside him. Wounded in the war, he's scorned society ever since his return . . . until Louisa opens the door to his heart and convinces him to give love a second chance
My Review

I was granted a ARC copy in return for a honest review, thanks to Edelweiss and Avon Books.

Louisa Tempest, is cursed alongside with her sister, but when her sister is adamant they go to London and have a season among the Ton, Louisa can't resist her sisters pleas. Louisa has no plans for marriage, since they are cursed to never get married and if they do then it will go bad. So she is determined to see her sister happy and married and then go back to her small village and live in content. When her cat, steals his way into a stranger home, she goes in chasing after him, and runs into Viscount Wakefield, known as a recluse and a beast, but even though he is intimidating Louisa can't help but find him intriguing and can't resist showing him what a tempest is actually made of. Wakefield, was once well known among the Ton, for getting into trouble with his two best friends, and carousing around London with no care in the world. But then he went off to war, and came back with a injured leg and a broken heart, he lost his closest friend in the world, and shuts himself off from everyone and lives with only a cook and his trusty old butler. But his life turns a different way when a young trouble making woman storms her way into his life and home, and leaving nothing left but her brightening countenance. He is fascinated and intrigued and refuses to let anything happen. He knows that she is the last thing he needs in his life, and tries to kick her out of his life, but Louisa is made of sterner stuff and goes about to prove him wrong.

The Viscount Who Lived Down The Lane is the fourth installment, and by far my favorite book from this author yet!! I adored every moment while reading this one and could barely put it down. There was something so intriguing about this story and what a pair these two made!!! I had such a fun time with this book and just couldn't get enough!! It was exactly what I was in the mood for and I am so glad I was able to get the opportunity to read it. These two were equally matched, both equally stubborn and full of steam and passion!! They don't back down and it was quite a show to see these two find their way to a HEA. It wasn't easy going, and oh boy was the heroine so funny to watch. She tends to leave shattered pieces in her path, and she is beyond clumsy, but what a sweet character she is. I tend to be picky about some of my heroines, but Louisa was a hoot!! Even though she doesn't want marriage, she can't seem to stay away from Viscount the beast. In fact, his broodiness and banning her from his home, only makes her more stubborn to get closer to him and break the shell around himself and let her in. She knows what she wants, and she goes after it. What I really liked about these two was their connection which was pretty heated from the beginning. Even though the hero is damaged and angry and just wants to be left alone to his inner demons, he doesn't see Louisa storming into his life and turning it Topsy turvy, and he will start to become the man he once was...full of life and passion.

This story was packed with everything that I adore in a historical romance! It had plenty of sensuality, well written characters, and a enticing dialogue that keep you coming back for more! A PASSION FILLED ROMANCE!
