The Feature And Follow (Follow Friday) is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee and its tons of fun to do this meme and find tons of new friends and great blogs!!! So come and join in this fun meme every friday!!!!

Q: Do you mind books with similar ideas to other books? Similar concepts, backgrounds, retellings or pulled-to-publish fanfic?

A: Sometimes I do, it depends, if its exactly the same then ...no, however if its just a similar concept but with differences, then I can enjoy them. Example : Lora Leigh Breed series compared to Laurann Dohner New Species. At first I didn't know if it was exactly the same or not, but as I progressed in the New Species series, I started to realize that there were some big differences that made it unique and wonderful. So I think there are times when it is acceptable.

  1. Hopping through. I don't mind similarities in books as long as it has enough to distinguish it from anything else.

  3. I agree with your answer. Similar concepts are okay since it's rare not to borrow from others' ideas.

Btw, I love the Christmas theme!

  5. Same! It really depends on the circumstances and WHAT is similiar. :)

Agree with Vonnie. Christmas themes rock! (Though I can't really see the font properly and had to edit your CSS via the F12 function on Chrome. But I think it's a problem only I have, because of my horrible eyesight. XD)

  6. I think that there are only so many basic plots in the words, it's the way the characters behave and the particulars that made the difference.

  7. I don't mind similar concepts as long as there is evidence of creativity and original thought. I love when authors take an "old" idea and make it feel new. Old follower.
