Synopsis
When Sir Lucien Blakemore arrives at his cousin’s estate for a week long Christmas party, he’s shocked to see Miss Winifred Nightingale among the other guests. Employed by his neighbor back in Yorkshire, the governess with the lovely eyes has always seemed off limits, but she’s visiting here as a guest—and there’s nothing like a little mistletoe to make the spirits bright…Miss Winifred Nightingale never dreamed a holiday visit with her sister would lead to both ladies spending Christmas as the local lord’s guests. But the big surprise is when she finds the handsome Sir Lucien Blakemore staying there too. The attraction between them is undeniable, but will an old nemesis and a party guest bent on mischief make their first kiss under the mistletoe their last?
My Review
I received a ARC in return for a honest review, thanks to Netgalley and St. Martins Paperback Publishing.

Sir Lucien Blakemore, has hesitated for quite some time to accept his cousin's invite to a Christmas party, but this year, he decided to go, because the woman he wants to be near during the season is with her family, Miss Winifred Nightingale. Winnie is a governess, and has joined her sister in a local holiday party. The one man she least expected to run into,  a man that is one of her closest friends, Lucien, Blakemore. From the first moment of Winnie coming to this house party, there is a bit of animosity toward herself and her sister. The rest of the guests are members of the Ton, and high society, and even though their father was a gentleman, he left them penniless, and they were forced to find work to survive. But the holiday season is all about miracles, and soon Winnie finds a man that changes her life. Even though they have been friends for quite some time, Winnie finds herself entering into a fake courtship that turns into something more real as they awaken a desire that threatens to consume them and makes Winnie believe in ever after...

Once Upon A Christmas Kiss is a Christmas novella that is set shortly after the third books "Why Lords Lose Their Hearts". I just love holiday romances, and I will say I adored this one. It had everything I needed for a fun Christmas romance. The characters in this story were phenomenal and I adored both of them. Lucien, is quite the hero. He is the type of man that will befriend anyone, and doesn't judge and he is fully accepting of Winnie, and is way protective of her....it gave me shills (but in a good way). I love how he comes shining through in this story and I just wanted to kiss him every time he acted the gallant hero that you see from him in the beginning. Winnie was such a strong heroine, you really come to admire her from beginning to end. She handles competition and criticism very well, and I loved the way she doesn't let what other say or imply to bother her too much. She has a strong heart and I loved seeing her character shine through in this story. The romance was fun and sweet!! There were so many moments that had me close to tears it was so tender and they were quite a match.

Overall a sensational holiday read that will get you excited for the season, with some scenes that will keep you in suspense, and a story that you can fall for!! GREAT READ!!
