Synopsis

My Review 

Marie has finally built up the courage to leave her husband who abused her, and she couldn't stand it anymore. So now she is living with her brother, looking for a job, and didn't see the big scary biker like Horse to come roaring into her life and tilt her world upside down. When she first meets him, Horse and his biker friends, have business with her brother, and business she has no knowledge of, and part of her doesn't want to get involved. Even though he makes her body burn, she just wants Horse out of life, he is way out of what she ever imagined, and he intimidates and her feelings for him start to scare him. Then one day when she walks into her home, she finds her brother has cheated them, and they are about to kill him, and only thing will appease them and save her brothers life....Marie in Horse's bed. Horse is part of the Reaper's Motorcycle Club, a club that is family, and a brotherhood, and he would give his life for. He has wanted Marie since he first saw her, and doesn't hide it. As he begins to start to care for her and would love for her to be his in every way, her brothers messes up and the only thing that will save her brother will if he can convince her to be his and he can claim her as he has wanted to for quite some time now!!

I finally decided that I needed to try this one out!! For quite some time I have seen so many high ratings and reviews for this story, and I will admit I normally don't read biker romances...ever. However I changed my mind ( I am a woman after all, its in my genetic makeup). and I decided that this was a story I would really like, and like it....scratch that...I LOVED it!!! I couldn't even put this one down, it had such a compelling voice to the story that just drew me in from the first page. If I had known Wylde wrote like this, I would have read her long ago. I am a idiot for waiting so long. Before I read this, I thought it had a darker theme to the story, but as I was reading it, I really didn't feel that at all. The romance between Marie and Horse is actually quite sweet and romantic in the beginning, its almost like they are doing this dating dance, and Horse even takes her on a picnic...I KNOW. Bad ass Biker dude taking a girl out on a picnic, never saw that one coming. Now Horse has rough edges that is for sure, but he has a soft spot for Marie. But then Marie messes up their relationship, and it becomes strained, and then her brothers cheats the club, and now she will have to pay, in Horse's bed, to do with in whatever way he likes. The story is full of flashback in the beginning, and normally I hate flashback, but with the voice of this author on every page, I fell in love with it and the style of the way it turns out.

I really couldn't help but loving this one....everything about this story I adored. I don't even know why, since the synopsis makes it seem really harsh and rough, but with the way the story begins, and the emotion that is riddled through the story, and how even though technically its erotica, it had such a exciting plot, that it didn't seem like one, it seems more like a contemporary romance, and gives off a swoon inducing effect that will make you hungry for more~~ I can hardly wait to read the rest of the series....found a new favorite author, and I am going to follow this series. This story made me fall in love with bikers and intense chemistry that only Joanna Wylde can do in her very unique storytelling voice!!! A WICKED PAGE TURNER!!
