Summary
In order to save her sister, Sidonie has volunteered to go in her place to Castle Craven. Her sister lost a bet where she was expected to spend seven nights in Merrick's bed. Knowing that her sister couldn't do so, she went in her place, not knowing what to expect. She has heard rumors and gossip about the man, who is suppose to be scarred with the disposition of a beast. When she first arrives she has no idea what is going to happen, or what Jonas Merrick will truly be like, she is suprised however when he turns out to be not a monster, but a man with a tortured past. Jonas doesn't make any excuses for who he is, or what he has become. Jonas despite being a bastard, has made his wife in making his cousin's life a hell, in return for past transgressions. He plans to ruin the man until a innocent miss comes in her sisters place to spend a week in his arms. Sidonie expects a man to be ruthless, but she starts to see a tender side to him, a side she knows rarely comes out. Even though she is hiding a secret from him that could threaten to tear everything apart including their love.

The Hero (Jonas Merrick)
Jonas, lost both of his parents young. His mother died when he was a boy and his father wasn't much of a father due to losing his wife. So Jonas was raised mostly by servants, when he attends school at Eton, something occurs whereby he gains his scars that deforms his face. He knows he isn't much to look at, but he vows revenge on his cousin who gained the title over him. He plans to gain wealth and fortune and ruin his cousin. When he meets Sidonie, a beauty beyond compare, he starts to feel his outer shell weakening, and he knows he would do anything to keep her in his life forever.

The Heroine (Sidonie Forsythe)
Sidonie, has high morals and values, and is still a innocent and has no idea the kind of man Jonas Merrick is. Sidonie is adamant never to marry. After seeing how her father and brother in law abuse their wives, she knew she could never enter into a arrangement where she would be considered a man's property with no rights whatsoever. She knows she needs to find a way to help her sister. So when she loses a gambling debt to Jonas, she decides to go in her place. What she doesn't expect to find is a man that would tempt her beyond her expectations and show her delights beyond her imagination.

My Thoughts
Seven Nights In a Rogue's Bed is the first is this series, and is Campbell's most recent book. I just love fairy tale themed books, and this one I would put at the top of the list. I loved the details that are portrayed in Anna Campbell's writing. Jonas Merrick is definitely intimidating, totally irresistable and scarred, but has a soft heart at times. I loved seeing such a tough man be so gentle at times with Sidonie. We see that he has no real close friends, is alone for the most part, but we see a change to begin in him that I found to be fun to see. Sidonie, I thought was a bit holier than thou at the beginning, but as the story progressed I started to like her a lot more. It was fun to see these two fall in love, and definitely had a rocky start. It didn't take me very long to get into it, after a few pages I was hooked. I just love a good romance that has conflict throughout the story, and always has something that occurs that shocks you-delightfully so I might add. I have really enjoyed this author, but this book would be at the top of my list of hers. Seven Nights in a Rogue's Bed is a sensual read, filled with conflict and in depth characters, and a deeply romantic and intriguing read. A Luscious Read!!!

First Line
Storms split the heavens on the night Sidonie Forsythe went to her ruin.

Favorite Quotes
A light flare in his gray eyes. "Oh, I intend to service you, Bella," Before she mustered another unconvincing protest, he lowered his lips to hers.
Heat. Softness. Trembling uncertainty. A hidden longing to respond. Jonas tasted all of that when he dipped his lips to Sidonie's. He couldn't say why he was so deeply moved to be the first man to kiss her. Her merest presence aroused him. It had from the first. Whatever power she possessed, he was helpless against it.

My Grade
4.5 Blossoms
