Malcolm, or knows as Mal throughout this story, is a very complex man, even though on the outside seems simple enough to understand. Mal didn't grow up with prestige and opportunity like Parker did. He lost his father years ago, and life wasn't easy on him or his mother, and now has become successful. Mal has a hard time sharing his past with anyone, he would just as soon forget it and think more about the present and the future, but sooner rather than later he will have to learn to trust his past to the one person that he could trust it with...
The Heroine (Parker Brown)
Parker, although she may have grown up with wealth and every advantage, never having to work if she didn't want to, has made a very successful business with her three friends, and something that gives her fulfillment and satisfaction from life. Parker has never found love like her friends have, and wonders if she will at times, until Mal comes into her life kissing her with such heat, that catch her off guard, and without realizing it she knows she could easily fall into the trap of love if she hangs around him for much longer....
My Thoughts
Happily Ever After is the fourth in the Bride Quartet, and I am so glad I finally got my hands on this one. I was thrilled to start reading Parker's story and Nora Roberts didn't disappoint. This would be my favorite series that she has written so far. Malcolm is the kind of character that any woman couldn't help but fall for, and I loved the 'man in the caveman' attitude he sometimes get, it made my heart skip a beat with sensation, making me wish I was Parker, instead of just the reader. There was such a delightful aspect to this story, with the way these two just fell for each other, that it was like falling in love all over again. Happy Ever After is a sensational read, with a fairy tale type romance contemporary style, a story woven with tender romance on every page, that will satisfy you until the end.

He moved fast, giving her a quick yank that had her body colliding with his. The way she said excuse me , like a veteran schoolteacher to an unruly student made him grin before he took her mouth with his. It was even better than pie. Soft, tasty, ripe, with just a hint of shock to cut the sweet.
