When I was first asked to read this, I didn't know if I would like it, especially since I wasn't sure if it would have a Happy ending (which is a must for me) but I was surprised by how much I enjoyed reading Medusa. At first I had a bit of a hard time getting into it, I don't know if it was just me or what, but I just had a feeling I needed to stick with it. However once I read the first chapter or two I was instantly drawn into this passionate love story that almost broke my heart. There were many different aspects that I liked about this. For one, is the theme of mythology that is almost the center of the culture and surroudings in this story. I have always been fascinated with greek mythology, and I really enjoyed seeing the interaction of the different gods in this one, and how in the end they were pretty much cheering for the couple (just like me!!:) But I also found the plot to be very on the edge type. There was non stop intensity and it felt so tragic at times. This is the type of romance that you want to make sure you have some tissues next to you---guaranteed to put your emotions through the ringer. It has been a while since I have read a story that had so much heartfelt emotions and almost makes you feel like you are on a roller coaster. Another aspect I like is that this author decided to go with Medusa. With most people, even me, I have found Medusa to be one of my least favorite characters, in greek mythology. I enjoyed seeing Medusa being put in as the good side of things, and we see a innocence about her and you feel like you can relate with her in a mortal way. There was also such a vibrancy to the style of writing that is used, somewhat different than what I am used to (which I found to be Awesome!) It was as if Summers was trying to reach out to her readers and share a special story, a story that has totally captured my heart. There was such a beautiful connection between the characters, their love so enthralling!!! If you are looking for a sweet love story, that is full of intensity, unsurmountable conflict (like the sea) and a couple that are so fully dedicated they risk everything for each other!!! A love story to bring a tear to your eye and a smile to your heart.

But her sister still has to turn eighteen before she can go to college, and so Julia can work on getting a stable job and being financially free of burdens. When she first meets Nicholas he practically forces her into his truck to drive her home, but when he ends up kissing her, she is embarrassed beyond belief. However when he pursues her like a dog hunting for a bone, she knows she may be in deep trouble. Nicholas is the "hero" type, always out trying to rescue others. Nicholas plans on keeping Julia to his side and show her what a real man is, and desires her to fully love him.
My Thoughts
As soon as Heart of a Hero showed up on the library shelves, I snatched it right up, I was so excited to get a chance to read Nicholas's story. There is a certain magic touch to Chapman's story, and I just have fallen madly in love with her most recent series. Ever since I took my first class at college, I have been so fascinated with mythology and its so great when you see certain authors incorporate it into their stories.
I have found that the Spellbound series, has a perfect blend of mythology and romance...that makes for a enchanting read. It first starts out with Nicholas being the hero for Julia, and practically picks her up bodily and forces her to take a ride home with him instead of riding her bike, which isn't exactly a short distance away. Nicholas I found to be a very likable character. He never gives up on Julia, even though she keeps running away from him. Julia once left the mountain when she got married but she came back a whole different person, divorced and struggling to protect her sister. I found Julia to become endearing but she could be so stubborn at times. I did enjoy Julia though, she seemed to be the kind of heroine you find you can relate with easily. Julia hasn't had it easy in any way but It was such fun to see these two struggle into their relationship. It definitely was full of a mountain of problems, the least of which being Nicholas's heritage. There was also so many little things about this story that only made it for a easy and tender love story that can easily capture your heart. It has been wonderful reading this series, and see each book just get even better and better. We still see other characters that are involved in this couple as well, which is also a delight. I found Nicholas and Julia to be perfect for each other for a variety of reasons. One if they both are too stubborn by half, so they deserve each other. They each are willing to fight for those that they love, and even though in the beginning their relationship gets to a bumpy start, we see how these two come together when it really matters.
Overall it seemed to make for a magic story that is full of a witty dialogue, charming characters, a plot to take you on a exciting ride, and a love story to enthrall you. A delihtful read that is not to be missed out on!!! Brilliantly done!!!! A truly unmatched story that is beyond memorable!!! A Must Read!

I found Nicholas and Julia to be perfect for each other for a variety of reasons. One if they both are too stubborn by half, so they deserve each other. They each are willing to fight for those that they love, and even though in the beginning their relationship gets to a bumpy start, we see how these two come together when it really matters.
Overall it seemed to make for a magic story that is full of a witty dialogue, charming characters, a plot to take you on a exciting ride, and a love story to enthrall you. A delihtful read that is not to be missed out on!!! Brilliantly done!!!! A truly unmatched story that is beyond memorable!!! A Must Read!

Summary
Titus, part of the order of the Eternal Guardians, has for the longest time has been unable to bear another's touch on his skin, or feel every emotion and be splintered with pain. He has been having dreams of the one woman who he can bear her touch, and he knows it is doubtful that he will ever see her again. But then he suddenly spots her in the Castle of Argolea. On his way to a meeting with the "Council" he sees a dark haired young woman who looks exactly like the one woman he has been dreaming about at night, hoping one day that he would find her again. When he endeavors to find her, he finds himself to have been drawn into her world. Titus is very powerful, and he knows that Natasa is innocent, that she doesn't mean to hurt or injure others. They begin together on a quest to find the answers that could solve every one's problems, only never expected the danger and intrigue that would come along with it. Natasa knows how dangerous she is, and wants more than anything to have the 'fire' that burns within her and threatens every one's lives, to be rid of. Natasa never expected to find Titus or expect to find such a passionate love that ignites every burning awakened with her....or even a powerful love that would lead her to finding everything she has been aching to have.
The Hero (Titus)
Titus, over a hundred years ago, was cursed after being a foolish and prideful young man. So he has been unable to bear another's touch, or ends up on the floor in pain and overwhelmed with every emotion and sense of the person that he touches. He has managed to hide that flaw from others in the order, seeing it as a weakness. Until he meets Natasa at the half breed colony, some time ago, and his whole world changes, when she touches him, and he doesn't feel emotion or pain. He only feels her beautiful touch and the heat of her skin, only draws him in. She has no idea what a wonderful gift she has given him, being able to Finally touch another after over a hundred years, and vows to protect her no matter what threatens them.
The Heroine (Natasa)
Natasa, has recently been woken up after being frozen for hundreds of years. Now a fire burns within her, that she has barely been able to contain; it has taken all of her self control to hold it within in. She knows she has little time left, and that she could cause the very own destruction of mankind if she doesn't find the one person that can save her...her father who is imprisoned. With Zeus and Hades trying to find her, she must find a way out of this mess she finds herself in. All she wants to do is get the heat taken away from her, its like her own curse, one she despises. When she meets Titus, she just want to faint at his feet, he makes her blood boil, and makes her heart pound with his beautiful and toned body that leaves her breathless. He shows her a passion and a love and prove to her they are meant to be.
My Thoughts
I was given the ARC to read and then give a honest review in exchange. When I was asked to be a tour host for this book...I was beyond excited. Since I haven't done too many yet. I have been wanting to read this series, but until now had yet to read anything from Elisabeth Naughton. I have to say after reading Bound, I can't believe that I haven't read her yet. For one thing I just love it when Greek Mythology (or any kind of mythology) is mixed in with the story plot. The author writes it in such a way that enthralls the reader from the very first page, and I found it near impossible to put it down. I love the focus and the detail that is very thoroughly portrayed through the story. Even though when I first started reading this, I was a bit lost since I hadn't read the previous books in the series, I did catch on after the first few chapters, and I found myself totally drawn in with the story. I also enjoyed how Naughton puts in serious issues that we all deal with in a paranormal themed romance that helps the reader connect with the characters and the story line in a very real way. The emotions that were so vividly portrayed were so heart wrenching at times, that I did cry a few times. It had such a powerful effect on my emotions, that I felt like I was being overwhelmed at times with a sea of emotional effect that takes you on a adventure to rival any. I also found some great qualities that came with this author's writing, and her unique style will just captivate you and before you know it, you have fallen in love with the story and the characters that will take your breath away. A Poignant and intense love story that will take you places you can only dream about. I am now totally addicted to this story, and I can't wait until I can get my hands on the other works in the series!!! A True Treasure that will excited you and charm you!! Plus how can you resist such a gorgeous cover...with the water trickling down in the sexiest way. Utterly irresistible!!

Author’s Bio & Picture:
I was
never one of those people who knew they wanted to be an author at the age of
six. I didn’t have imaginary friends. I didn’t write stories in my journal or
entertain my relatives by firelight after Thanksgiving dinner. For the most
part, I was just a normal, everyday kid. I liked to read, but I wasn’t
exceptional at it. And when my teachers complimented me on my writing
abilities, I brushed them off. I did, however, always have a penchant for the
unique and absurd. And as my mother told me all throughout my childhood, I
should have been an actress—I was a drama queen before my time.
Years ago,
my husband bought me Scarlett: The Sequel to Gone With The
Wind. If you ever saw the book, you know it’s a long one. I sat and
read that thing from cover to cover, and dreamed of one day being a writer. But
I didn’t actually try my hand at writing until years later when I quit my
teaching job to stay home with my kids. And my husband? After that week of
reading where I neglected him and everything else until I finished Scarlett, he vowed never to buy me another book again.
Little did he know I’d one day end up sitting at a keyboard all day drafting my
own stories.
My writing
journey has not been easy. I didn’t just sit down one day, decide I was going
to write a book and voila! sell
my very first attempt. As most authors will probably agree, the path to
publication is filled with hours of work, pulling all-nighters I thought I’d
given up in college, sacrifices, rejections, but a love I discovered along the
way I just can’t live without. Instead of a big, thick book to read by
lamplight (I do read much smaller ones when I get the chance), I’ve traded in my
reading obsession for a laptop. And I’ve never been happier.
I’m one of
the lucky ones. I have a wonderful family and fabulous husband who put up with
my writing—and obsessive personality—even when life is chaotic. More than once
my kids have been late to swimming or baseball because I needed just five more
minutes to finish a scene. Their support and encouragement mean the world to
me. I also have amazing friends and a support network I couldn’t survive
without. So to all of you out there who have encouraged me along the way, sent
me emails and fan letters, phone calls and congratulations, I just want to say,
thank you. You make this whole writing gig that much more enjoyable. I truly
wouldn’t be here without you.
