Summary:
Winnifred Hathaway, has been in love with Kev Merripen, but he refuses to accept the feelings they have for each other. So after suffering from being sickly, she goes to France for a couple of years, to see a doctor that has helped patients in similar condition as she is in. When she comes back healthy and vibrant with life, she expects that Kev will finally accept them being together and she can finally not have to hide her true feelings from him, especially the powerful passion that flames up between them. However Kev is still just as stubborn as ever, and seems more primal now that she brought the young doctor with her. Kev, scarred on the inside from his time with his uncle among the romany, is bitter and knows that he can never be with Win, for he would never want to harm her, and knows that there is a beast inside of him, reading to burst free, but Win is just as stubborn and determined as he is, and will fight with every breath left in her to convince him that their love is worth fighting for....

The Hero (Kev Merripen)
Kev, not wanted by his real father, is sent to his uncle, and treated like a dog, and now is hardened because of his past. Kev is a intimidating man, but there is one family that doesn't feel intimidated by him, and thats the Hathaways, who are more unusual of gadjes that one would expect, but there is one Hathaway who is his downfall and must harden himself to her, so that he doesn't succumb, because he knows that he could  very well hurt her, and that's the last thing that he would do, and she deserves much more than a rom, but he finds it hard letting go for she is what he lives and breathes for....

The Heroine (Winnifred Hathaway)
Win, has been sickly ever since she suffered from a sickness years ago, and survived, but her body has always been weak since then, and she dreams of the day that she can be strong and healthy again. When she hears of a doctor in France, who has had success with people in similar conditions as herself, she decides to go, and although she is gone for two years, she hopes that the love that she has for Kev, will be strong enough to make him realize how she could never live without him in her life....

My Thoughts
Seduce Me At Sunrise is the second installment in the Hathaway series by Lisa Kleypas. From the first book in the series, we see and ache for Win, for suffering as she does. I just have loved Kev and Win, and loved reading their story, so achingly sweet yet a tormenting side to the story as well. Kev is a man that is haunted by his past and has suffered much and doesn't reveal his true self to Win, knowing that she could never accept him. But Win is strong and spirited and fights for those that she loves, even stubborn and pig headed Rom's. There were parts of this story that made me cry, and parts that made me laugh, and was a entertaining story to say the least. It stole my heart from the first chapter!!! AN UNFORGETTABLE STORY!!!!

My Favorite Quote
What if this were the last moment you ever had with me? Wouldn't you have been sorry not to tell me how you felt? Wouldn't you--" Merripen covered her mouth with his, desperate for a way to make her quiet. His arms went around her, wrapping her in his vast strength, holding her against the hardness of his body. And then everything ignited, and they were both lost in a furor of need.

Synopsis
Penelope Featherington has secretly adored her best friend's brother for . . . well, it feels like forever. After half a lifetime of watching Colin Bridgerton from afar, she thinks she knows everything about him, until she stumbles across his deepest secret . . . and fears she doesn't know him at all.

Colin Bridgerton is tired of being thought nothing but an empty-headed charmer, tired of everyone's preoccupation with the notorious gossip columnist Lady Whistledown, who can't seem to publish an edition without mentioning him in the first paragraph.

But when Colin returns to London from a trip aboard, he discovers nothing in his life is quite the same, especially Penelope Featherington, the girl haunting his dreams!

And when he discovers that Penelope has secrets of her own, this elusive bachelor must decide . . . is she his biggest threat, or his promise of a happy ending?

MY REVIEW

Summary:
Colin Bridgerton, has returned home from his world travels, and his family is much relieved to having him home, not knowing if he will stay this time, or like all the other times, just leave once again. Penelope Featherington, has resigned herself to being a spinster, even though she has always been fond of Colin...ever since she met him years ago. When Colin returns, he expects life at home to be the same as it always is, but this time its definitely different, and he starts noticing Penelope in a way very not brotherly like but more like he wants her desperately.  But they both have secrets and when they are discovered with that only destroy their feelings for each other....or make their bond of love that much stronger?.....

The Hero (Colin Bridgerton)
Even though Colin Bridgerton among the Ton is considered to be a charmer, and tired of the columnist Lady Whistledown, which everyone talks about, and whom of which mentions him just about every column, and is tired of life in London. But this time coming home from his travels, he starts to realize how things are much different than things were before...and they all have to do with Penelope, whom most of the time he has known her he has considered her like one of his sisters, only he is starting to have inclinations toward her that are in no way brotherly, but more like a man that passionately wants a woman.

The Heroine (Penelope Featherington)
Penelope, has always never been thought of as a beauty among the ton, and expects that she will live a life as a spinster, even though she would love to find a man to love and marry and have children, but she has no prospects, unlike her best friend Eloise Bridgerton. Penelope is overlooked by her family, especially her mother, and just would want to feel loved, but never expected that Colin, the man she has secretly adored for years, is the key to her finding true happiness in her previously lonely life.

My Thoughts
Romancing Mister Bridgerton, is the fourth in the Bridgerton series by Julia Quinn. I just love Colin and Penelope's story. I don't even know how many times I have read this one, I just enjoy reading it every time. Romancing Mister Bridgerton is a witty, and memorable story that will pull at your heartstrings. Such a charming tale of two people, that both have secrets of their own, but yearns for acceptance and for a chance at love that has alluded them, but will find it in each other. I truly enjoyed this one, and I was completely satisfied by the time I reached the end. From the very beginning of the story, the reader will be taken on a emotional yet fun filled ride that Julia Quinn takes you on, and you will never regret reading Romancing Mister Bridgerton. A Romance that will charm every readers heart!

My Favorite Quote
" I love you," he said, leaning forward to kiss her. And this time she couldn't reply, because his mouth remained on hers, hungry, demanding, and very, very seductive.

She backed away until she hit the door. "What in God's name are you doing?" She cried, her gaze riveted on broad naked shoulders and a glimpse of an equally broad chest, rock hard chest. She looked lower. His belly was flat and tight, with interesting lines, and then it began to ripple. She quickly averted her gaze, but her cheeks had warmed.
"This cabin is too small for us both," she repeated.

But what Nick learns surprises him. For while London's most notorious lover might claim Charlotte's body, he quickly discovers it will take much more than passion to win her love.

Summary:
Nick Gentry, most current mission is to find a missing lady, the man whom she is betrothed to is desperate to find her. But when Nick finally finds her (which wasn't that difficult ) but then he meets her and only desires to keep her for himself. Knowing that she is in desperate circumstances, he offers her a solution, to marry him and have protection from her fiancee whom she would rather die than be married to. So even though its not a ideal situation for Charlotte, she agrees knowing that both her and her family would be taken care of, is she agrees to marry Nick, and she would have protection from the one she despises and fears the most. The passion is awakened in Charlotte, a desire that she didn't know she had in her, and every fiber in her comes alive with his sensual touch. And knows that her heart is at risk, for she could very well fall in love with this sensual yet secretive man...

The Hero (Nick Gentry)
Nick Gentry, has lived a dangerous life, and only with the help of his sister and her husband, has he started to slowly come back from living a life of danger. Nick has a dark past, one whom he keeps secret and one that haunts him, and doesn't care if he lives or dies, and takes terrible risks. Until he meets Charlotte however, things change drastically, and he starts to come to the realization that there is one person that he cares for and would want to live with and to love....and desires her to accept him...all of him both the good and the bad. The Heroine (Charlotte Howard)
Charlotte Howard, having every aspect of her young life controlled by one man, that wants to turn her into his ideal wife, and erasing who she really is. Then she is faced with Nick Gentry, who stirs up all of her senses, and desires to be loved and cherished and has found a man that she aches for such devotion.

My Thoughts
Worth Any Price is the third and final installment in the Bow Street Runners series that Lisa Kleypas has created. Worth Any Price is Nick Gentry story, and after seeing him previously, I have definitely been looking forward to reading his story. Nick is a special hero, and one that is close to my heart, and one of my favorite characters that this author has created. He is a haunted and dangerous man, but there is a appeal about him, where you just want to comfort the man, for he has gone through  many hardships throughout his life. Worth Any Price is a charming story about two people who deserve love and happiness having never been able to find it for themselves, but together will find the most exquisite pleasure and joy. From the first page I was drawn into the story and could hardly put it down and is captivating to the bone......I  LOVED it!!!

My Favorite Quote
"You'll find life far more enjoyable as my wife," Gentry Continued " You won't be anyone's servant. You can do as you please within reasonable limits. And you won't have to fear Lord Radnor any longer. "
"All for the price of sleeping with you," She muttered. He smiled, all velvety arrogance, as he replied, "You may come to enjoy that part of it most of all."

Book Review-Savor The Moment

Savor The Moment
Bride Quartet (3)
Nora Roberts
Berkley
325 Pages
Published May 2010
Contemporary Romance
ISBN: 978-0-425-23368-9
 Synopsis
Wedding baker Laurel McBane is surrounded by romance working at Vows wedding planning company with her best friends Parker, Emma, and Mac. But she's too low-key to appreciate all the luxuries that their clients seem to long for. What she does appreciate is a strong, intelligent man, a man just like Parker's older brother Delaney, on whom she's had a mega-crush since childhood.
But some infatuations last longer than others, and Laurel is convinced that the Ivy League lawyer is still out of her reach. Plus, Del is too protective of Laurel to ever cross the line with her-or so she thinks. When Laurel's quicksilver moods get the better of her-leading to an angry, hot, all-together mind-blowing kiss with Del-she'll have to quiet the doubts in her mind to turn a moment of passion into forever...

MY REVIEW

Summary:
Laurel McBane, is part of the Bride Quartet, a group of four friends who known each other since childhood. Laurel's contribution to the wedding business is Cakes, and she is dang good at it too. Even though this wasn't Laurel's dream, but because of financial difficulties with her parents, she had to quit culinary school and decided to help her friends with the wedding business and bake wedding cakes. Even though two of her friends have found love and romance in their lives, Laurel doesn't really believe she will be as lucky, especially when there is one man that she has always loved, but one who treats her like a sister, Delaney Brown who is Parker's brother. Even though a passion flares between them, Laurel still has doubts about Delaney and wonders if he could ever love her and still thinks that he is way beyond her reach when it comes to Happily Ever After. But sometimes life has a way of changing circumstances, and that even in her normal life you can still find your Prince Charming...

The Hero (Delaney Brown)
Delaney Brown, is very similar to Parker, very organized and practical. Del has always cared about these four girls that are like sisters to him, and has a protective streak a mile wide especially when it comes to Laurel. When things change between them, with one fiery kiss, he knows that things will be different forever. Del doesn't know where their relationship will lead them, since this is definitely different for him, however Laurel means the world to him, and he starts to realize how much he is starting to love her and must convince her how sincere he is in his feelings for her.

The Heroine (Laurel McBane)
Laurel, part of the four women that started Vows, and her talent resides in making gorgeous wedding cakes that astound everyone in look and in taste. Laurel has always had a crush on Del, but through a angry spat with him, kisses him surpring the both of them how much desire they feel for one another. Laurel struggled growing up, and now that she is in a relationship with Del, starts to doubt both herself and him, and doesn't believe that he could ever love her...even though she has loved him for quite some time now...

My Thoughts
Savor The Moment is the third in the Bride Quartet, and my favorite series so far written about this author. I haven't read too many of her books, I have only read this series and the Chesepeake Bay Series. After reading Savor The Moment, I decided that this is my favorite of the books of the series so far, and even though I haven't read Parker's story, I absolutely adored Laurel. I felt connected to Laurel in a way that I wasn't with Emma or Mac. There was such a emotional side to Savor The Moment, one that connects the story to the reader in a way that usually doesn't happen very often, but when it does I thoroughly take advantage of the moment and get a box of tissues. (LOL) Although most of the story was witty and sexy, there were still those moments where I definitely needed the tissues, but in a good way. Savor The Moment satisfied me in every way possible, from the first page I was drawn in, and there was nothing that could draw me away from these tender romance. I loved how the story line and is basically holds true for the rest of the series, that these are normal women who have faced different challenges in their lives, that most readers can relate to, and even normal people can find a magical love that sometimes we can only dream and...read about. This is one of the aspects that I have truly enjoyed reading in this series. I just LOVED Savor The Moment, filled with everything that you need in a good romance that will blow you away....

The reunion with her sister was bittersweet, but during this party, she meets Carlos Panterra who draws her unlike any other, and starts to realize that this is the man for her. Because even though there is one way for her to become like him, more than likely the turning would kill her, and he wouldn't want to harm a hair on her head. But her life changes drastically when she meets Carlos at her nephews birthday party, and every aspect of her life changes and is strongly attracted to Carlos and wants to show him that their connection is much more than passion...that their love is strong enough to weather anything that life may throw at them.

My Thoughts
Eat Prey Love is the most recent release of the Love At Stake Series, and I have just loved Carlos and was captivated by this passionate story of where two people that love each other but circumstances prevent them from being together. Carlos, must separate himself from her even though it seems like she is thrown at him at every turn he makes to avoid her. But sometimes destiny gets in the way of best laid plans, and knows he must keep her safe at all costs, even from his and his animal instincts. Eat Prey Love is a powerful and passionate story about two people that are each other's destiny, but its all about their discovery of a love that will fortify them when danger comes headlong at them. I just loved Eat Prey Love, and from the first page, I was drawn into this compelling story!!! A DELIGHTFUL READ!!!

My Favorite Quote
He leaned forward, his amber eyes blazing into hers. "You have no idea how much I want you," Her lips opened with a small gasp, and his mouth was suddenly there. His lips were softly moving against hers. He planned to lure her with tenderness. And it was working.

My Thoughts
Dark Victory is the fourth installment in the Masters of Time series. I have now read all of the books in this series, and I have just loved the aspects of these stories. Brenda Joyce has written a passionate and a unforgettable series with strong characters that are entertaining. I fell in love with both characters but especially Tabitha, who even though she has fallen in love before, has also been hurt and has a hard time with trust and finding a gentle man, and we see how much she starts to change to her real self who is passionate and strong but is still gentle and elegant when she needs to be as well. Brenda Joyce takes the reader on a thrilling and mind blowing adventure filled with intrigue, magic, and romance!!! I just loved Dark Victory and one of my favorites of this author!!! A FANTASTIC READ!!!

My Favorite Quote
Tabby clenched her fists "You can stay, but only for one night, and you sleep there, on the sofa" She pointed, her hand trembling " And you will sleep there alone,"
He murmured "Then stop thinkin' about me without my clothes,"

Synopsis
A lady must be prepared for anything . . . when marrying a scoundrel.

Sadie Moon once thought she was in love. Then her dashing husband left her to seek his fortune, and she had no choice but to transform herself from a heartbroken waif into London Society's favorite fortune-teller. But even she could not have foreseen Jack's return—until their paths cross in the last place either would have expected: London's most exclusive house of pleasure.

Now wealthy and successful, Jack Friday has everything he'd ever dreamed of . . . except Sadie. He swears he will never trust the woman who broke her promise to wait for him, though his passion for her burns as hotly as ever before. But love, like the past, comes back to haunt them—drawing them into a web of intrigue and betrayal that could save or destroy them both.

Summary:
Sadie Moon once fell in love, and got married, even though it wasn't fully legal, in her heart she committed herself to him, until he abandoned her, and so she decided to move on with her life, never expecting to cross paths with him again. However things never go as expected. Sadie Moon is a fortune teller, and has a real gift that has helped people. Then Jack Friday enters her shop and all her feelings for him, both good and bad come rushing back. However Jack is none too pleased with her either. Jack married Sadie against his grandfather's wishes who wanted him to marry someone from the ton. Jack could have cared less about the title, so he went and left Sadie to earn a fortune so he could give her a life he wanted to give her, but then she left him, and has harbored resentment toward her. Now they are put in each other's paths once more, and the passion they once felt for each other...is very much alive and they will both start to realize that the love that they once have felt for each other...could be the one thing that will save them as betrayals and a danger threatens them....

My Thoughts
When Marrying A Scoundrel is the second installment in the Victorian Soap Opera series...I just love Kathryn Smith..at least the books that I have read so far. I just fell in love with this story and the characters hard and fast. I just loved loved loved Sadie, she was fresh and spirited, yet hid vulnerabilities when it came to love and especially to Jack. Through the whole story we see these two fall in love all over again despite protests to the contrary, and we also see a mystery unravel. So it was fun and refreshing romance and I just love Kathryn Smith's style of writing. Its like a breath of fresh air....and I just truly loved When Marrying A Scoundrel!!  It was EXCELLENT!!!

Medieval Romance

Synopsis
A MAN'S FIRE

Released from an unhappy marriage by her husband's sudden death, Lady Elyssa of Freyne hoped she and her young son were safe at last. The arrival of Geoffrey FitzHenry dashed her hopes. Tall, golden-haired, his battle-scarred face still handsome, the sheriff of the shire looked like a warrior angel. Yet Elyssa heard he was the devil's own spawn. Now the law decreed he was her keeper and sent her frail son away to be a knight's squire.

A WOMAN'S HEART

Elyssa's temper, as fiery as her copper-colored hair. Flared. She swore to fight him and vowed to hate him. So why did her breath come faster when she saw him? Was it fear or passion? Was this to be a journey to elm dangerous side of desire, or would Geoffrey beckon Elyssa to discover the truth about their feelings for each other-and the wondrous force of their love . . . .
MY REVIEW

Summary:
After a unhappy marriage, her husband is dead and it is up to her to take care of her son. Her son has always been sickly, and for that she has always kept her close to her side, and not have him be a squire. But then Geoffrey, who takes charge, has her son taken away from her (knowing that her son is deceiving her and is no more sickly than he is) and her hatred for him only grows with each passing minute. The law is on his side, and she is at a loss as to what to do now, but then one kiss awakens a mutual passion between them. Despite her negative feelings toward him, there is a love that she is starting to feel for him and doesn't know if she can resist him, and only a deep desire to keep him at all costs...

My Thoughts
Autumn's Flame is the fourth in the related series written by Denise Domning even though it was the kind of book you can enjoy reading, its not the type of book that will keep you enthralled throughout the whole of it.  For me I would call it more of a average type of written book, and even though the romance and the connection between the characters was there, I found at times it was hard to keep focused on the story and was distracted. There was a element that I enjoyed which was the verbal sparring between the two main characters that left me grinning, definitely heats the blood. However even though there were parts of the story that I did enjoy, it didn't get me to the point where I would want to read it again. But it was a nice romance story with some fiery verbal interaction, and the level of romance to suit a reader, but there wasn't consistency through out it all. For me, it was more of a average written story with both good and bad in it, but overall a good story and I liked it.

Painful memories once drove Paul Hilliard away. But when the elite secret fraternity of knights calls him home to help thwart a devilish plot against the king, Paul cannot refuse. And his bodyguard in this deadly undertaking is Juliana Gresham--a stunningly beautiful warrior who honed her skills under his expert guidance.

When Juliana first received her training, she was a young, shy, and innocent orphan; now she has blossomed magnificently into womanhood, tempting the honorable knight. Surrendering to his passion could gravely endanger their mission. But Paul's great need for her will not be silenced--especially when the plot demands that the exquisite Juliana play a shocking new role in their dangerous intrigue . . . as Paul's mistress.

As the black sheep second son of an Earl, Stephen Lyons has gained a reputation in the art of seduction, but when his wicked ways result in scandal, he joins the army to redeem himself. On the battlefield, he proves courageous ...until he is seriously wounded. Returning home to recover, he discovers he can't remember the angelic beauty who arrives at his doorstep, his babe nestled in her arms.
Mercy Dawson will risk everything to protect the son of the dashing soldier she once knew and admired. When Stephen offers to do the honorable thing, she is determined that London's most notorious gentleman will desire her and no other. But Mercy fears that what began as an innocent deception could destroy her dreams and their blossoming love if Stephen ever learns the scandalous truth ...
They are masters of seduction, London's greatest lovers. Living for pleasure, they will give their hearts to no one ...until love takes them by surprise.

The Rules:
A lady should always make polite conversation . . .
Theresa Weller understands the rules of decorum, and is appalled when Colonel Bartholomew James disrupts a perfectly civilized dinner. This rude, insensitive man is the complete opposite of everything a gentleman should be—but with one searing kiss, Tess can think of no one else.
A lady should never lose her temper . . .
Aggravated beyond bearing by a man who speaks his mind, Tess wishes there was a guide to men like Bartholomew. Surely, with such an assortment of handsome, polite suitors to choose from, Tess should not ache for him.
And a lady should never pursue a gentleman.
She invites him on carriage rides and dares him to dance, and almost makes him want to return to Society. Bartholomew knows Tess wants to be seen as a proper miss, but deep down, he knows she is precisely the sort to spark his desire . . . A most improper lady.
