too outlandish even for this Highlander…

enemy shouldn't have such a broad chest, and such a seductive brogue?

Young ladies just want to have fun...
Unfortunately Eleanor Griffin has three strapping brothers to frighten away any beau they deem unsuitable. She knows she's expected to marry eventually -- probably to some staid, crusty old lord -- but until that dark day dawns, Nell intends to enjoy herself. However, brother Sebastian, Duke of Melbourne, isn't about to let his sister run completely wild, and asks his best friend, the Marquis of Deverill, to keep a close eye on the spirited lovely.
Could any chaperone be less qualified -- yet more appreciated -- than Valentine Corbett? Here is a man as sinful as he is attractive, a notorious rake, gambler, and pursuer of women whom Nell has fancied since girlhood. Alas, the irresistible rogue seems uncharacteristically determined to be honorable, despite the passionate longing in his gaze. And Nell must tread carefully, for she has promised to immediately wed whomever her siblings choose should so much as a hint of scandal arise . . .
MY REVIEW Summary: Eleanor feels supressed by her three brothers, and just wants to have fun and dislikes all the restrictions that are placed on her, and feels that her brothers don't really care for what she wants in her life. So she comes up with a agreement for her to play out her independent nature as long as it doesn't end in scandal. Valentine Corbette is a rogue in every way will be asked by his friend to watch over Eleanor and keep her away from any chance to be involved in any sort of scandal. Valentine at first doesn't find this task to be too difficult however he finds himself attracted to Nell and the more time they spend in each others company he is drawn to her in a way he hasn't been toward any other woman. Nell knows that she is treading dangerous ground with Valentine, and desires his kiss and tender touch but knows that if they are caught her brothers could marry her off to anyone of their choosing and knows they could be found out and she could lose the chance to be with the man she truly loves...
The Hero (Valentine Corbett)
Valentine is a pursuer of women and loves to gamble and is very notorious for his certain appetites. However when his friend asked him to chaperone his younger sister, he knew he was the worst man for the job, especially when he finds her so delicious in the looks department. Knowing he must protect her from scandal, he knows that she could be his greatest weakness and shed the armor surrounding his heart.
The Heroine ( Eleanor Griffin)
Eleanor has always had a independent streak within her, and what she might consider to be 'fun or exciting' reeks dissaproval with her brothers, and it seems there is nothing that she can do right anymore. She finds herself miserable and not enjoying life when she is in the prime of her life. So she claims herself as independent to her brothers as long as she stays out of scandal or she could find herself married to any old bore or a selfish peacock (of her brothers choice) so she ends up being accompanied by Valentine who is known as a well known rogue, and he starts giving her lessons in sin as pleasurable as she never knew was possible and knows that she could find herself falling in love with someone that would only break her heart in the end.
My Thoughts
Sin and Sensibility is the first in the Griffin series. This is not the first time that I have read this series but I haven't read this series since they were newer, so I just wanted to read this one since it was one of my favorites and as I was reading I remembered how much I loved it. The passion and the romance came alive for me once more. I have always been a fan of Suzanne Enoch, books that are fun, sexy and full of sizzling chemistry that draws you into her stories. Sin and Sensiblity was no different, and I loved the interaction between Eleanor and Valentine, and there were moments in the story that you find yourself totally captivated....definitely a Enjoyable read!!!

Sins Of A Duke
For proper young ladies, good behavior has always been the rule.
Captain Bradshaw Carroway loves the seafaring life - though he'd rather be battling brigands than his current assignment of ferrying a boatload of spoiled aristocrats. One passenger, however, has caught his eye: a bewitching young minx who definitely distracts him from the rules of shipboard decorum . . .
Some rules, of course, are meant to be broken.
Miss Zephyr Ponsley has traveled the world, but she's completely innocent in the ways of love. She's never learned to dance or flirt. But scientific observation has taught her that the laws of attraction have no rules, and that no adventure, on land or sea, is more dangerous - or delicious - than passion!
MY REVIEW Summary
Captain Bradshaw Carroway, has a passion for living a life on the see, and loves the excitement and danger that comes from being Captain of his own ship, however when he is ordered by to be a babysitter to a load of Aristocrats, he would rather cut his own tongue out. However there is one passenger that has caught his eye, daughter of a well known historian, Zephyr Ponsely, has been by her fathers side ever since her mother passed away and been all over the world, and is eager to learn how to a lady and learn how to flirt and learn about life and passion. Zephyr is blunt and the desire between Shaw and Zephyr explodes after sharing a sensual embrace, Zephyr keeps breaking all sorts of rules of decorum and such, but would much rather be in Shaw's embrace, than follow all the rules and be miserable, but what she never counting on was learning that giving into personal desires, can lead to matters of the heart, something she isn't prepared for but then ...neither is the confident rogue of a Captain...Bradshaw Carroway.
The Hero (Bradshaw Carroway)
Bradshaw, loved life on the sea, and wouldn't ever think of giving it up...even for a woman. However the minute he is given a assignment to ferry some passengers that are just bound to make his life even more complicated, he starts to be drawn to a delightful young woman that has no sense of propriety or decorum, but a scientist, one that doesn't even like him in the beginning, which charms him, and he knows that he wants more than anything is to keep her in his bed and in his life forever.
The Heroine (Zephyr Ponsley)
Zephyr is a scientist just like that of her father, however there is also a inner craving to have a life away from her father, to be a wife and a mother and have a home. When her mother died, she was dragged all over the world with her father, but about to enter into society, she has no idea the rules of decorum that are expected. But upon meeting the Captain, she knows she is in for a world of trouble, for he both infuriates her and awakens a hidden passion within her.
My Thoughts
Rules of an Engagement is the third in the Adventure Club Series by Suzanne Enoch. I just fell instantly in love with this story and the characters. The characters alone were full of wit and passion. The story itself wasn't that incredible, however there was a sense of flirty fun throughout the story, that kept me engaged throughout the whole of it. At the beginning both the main characters hate each other, and had me laughing at their interactions with each other, but we see from the moment that they share that memorable first kiss, that things change for them both, and they realize how much alike they truly are. I truly haven't enjoyed such a romance in a while, and it was good to have one that was carefree and full of laughs...plus the cover is utterly charming
My Favorite Quote
"That I couldn't possibly crave adventure when its very goddess sleeps in my arms every night. In all my imaginings, Zephyr, I never expected this life. I never expected to fall in love. I never expected to want children or to be so...full of joy simply waking up to see you every morning. You are my adventure."

Synopsis Maddie Willits was driven out of London by a scandal, her engagement in ruins, and now she is a paid companion to elderly Malcolm Bancroft. When Malcolm's young nephew, the Marquis of Warefield, comes in to oversee the family estate, Maddie is at first incensed, but soon her feelings turn to flirtation with the handsome marquis--and then to something much more.
My Review:
Madeleine Willits after being caught up in a scandal by no fault of her own, becomes shunned, and leaves her family and becomes a companion to a elderly man who runs a estate. After living there for four years, she trust no one that is in Society. So when Malcom's nephew Quinlan, Marquis of Warefield comes to help with the estate, Maddie has much distrust for this marquis whom she finds easy to dislike yet she starts to warm up to him, but when she is caught in a passionate kiss once more, she is caught up in a plan to re introduce her into society. After Quinlan is caught kissing the lovely Maddie, he vows to make amends despite all of her protests, even if its for her own good. They journey to London despite Maddies distaste for this plan, but only agrees out of promise she makes to Malcolm who is like her family, one who has loved her like a daughter. So despite her distaste for being introduced into society that rejected her in the past, she discovers a future one where she finds herself aching for a certain Marquis to love and keep her, but is far from trusting him because she doesn't want Quinlan to break her heart as she fears, but will she find the courage to fight for the one that she loves?
Its been awhile since I have read anything from this author, but I do so love her books, they are filled with such passion and a engaging plot that will delight you. As with every one of Enoch's books, I found myself finding it hard to put By Love Undone down, for it was so uniquely written, yet this book is similar to her other books, whereas its a mixture of passion, enticing plot, and engaging characters that will only leave you breathless for more of her well written romances that takes your breath away. I truly had few complaints about By Love Undone, except for the fact that in the beginning both Maddie and Quinlan seem to act more like children than adults in their interaction with one another but as the story progressed the characters seemed to progress in maturity. But other than that it was a lovely read!!!

Synopsis: Never a gentleman . . . until now.
Lord Bramwell Johns, the second son of a duke, is an unrepentant scoundrel. Now that his two closest friends are disgustingly ensconced in domestic bliss, Bram is feeling strangely restless. And not even relieving London's least deserving artistocrats of their ill-gotten jewels is enough--until the night he overhears an argument. It seems that Lady Rosamund Davies is about to be forced into marriage with a rogue even worse than himself.
Rose is well aware of Bram's scandalous reputation, so any reason for his sudden interest in her is suspect; more so since he's close friends with the man about to ruin her family! She has her own plan though, and Bram may be just what she requires--as long as she remembers that he is only looking out for himself. As long as she remembers that his kisses and caresses don't mean anything. As long as she can keep from wondering whether she can trust a scoundrel . . . with her heart.
My Review:
Its been a few months since I have read anything from Suzanne Enoch, and I always get spiraled into her stories and utterly drawn in. The same is true to Always A Scoundrel and I have fallen in love with Rose and Bram. Lord Bramwell is your typical English Rogue who drinks, and cavorts with endless amounts of women-most particularly married women. He is the last of his trio of friends that is still unattached and unmarried. Bram finds himself feeling ever most grateful for the circumstance, since he has no desire for marriage or settling down. Bram goes about as the 'Black Cat' sneaking into nobleman's homes and stealing artifacts or ill gotten jewels. One night he hears a argument, and it seems that Lady Rosamund is to be forced into a marriage with a man that is a monster, and will eventually destroy her spirit and even her. Knowing she could never survive such a marriage with Lord Cosgrove. Apparently Rose's younger brother John gambled too much and lost Ten Thousand Pounds to Lord Cosgrove and is insisting that instead of funds he will accept a marriage to his sister. Rose is well aware of her duty to her family, even though they are willing to sell her to a blackguard, who will destroy her. Rose's family has never cared much for her, wanting to get her off their hands. Bram then becomes her friend and closest ally, in trying to convince her to fight back to Cosgrove, or run away to Scotland or the countryside and find a job as a governess or companion. However she insists that she can't leave her family out on the streets, so she is insisting on her duty and obligation to her family. However after sharing some passionate moments with Bram and realizing that such pleasure can be attained, she finds herself confused at what she really feels she needs to do. Cosgrove keeps up his lustful and disgusting advances, so much so that she knows her life with him will be 'Hell on Earth' in the literal sense. But Rose doesn't know if she can trust Bram with her heart!
This was truly a wondrous story, that fills the reader with love and a tender passion that develops between Rose and Bram. I also thoroughly loved the sub characters such as John (Rose's Brother) and Brams two other friends and their wives. There were many moments in the book that made my laugh and smile and I felt so drawn to the characters that I felt I was there within the story, it came alive. Suzanne Enoch has such a talent, at least for me, that draws the reader in and I couldn't put this down, I read into under a couple of hours, I was so captivated by the plot, the characters, and the connection and passion that is between the main characters. I also fell in love with Rose and Bram. Rose is a genuine heroine, who even though her family could care less about her (except for her brother) she is willing to sacrifice everything for her family. Rose is a caring and loving woman, who has a passionate nature that is released upon meeting Bram. Bram is your above average rogue, who finds himself enticed toward Rose, and is never bored with her. Instead he is thoroughly captivated by her spirit and is never bored whenever she is in the same room with him. I am sure those of you who have never read this book will enjoy it as much as I have.
