Synopsis
Iain Sinclair, Marquis of Alynwick, is certain there is a special hell for him. An unrepentant rake, he holds nothing sacred – except for beautiful Elizabeth York. For years, Alynwick has tried to forget the woman he loved so well, and treated so badly. A woman who could hold nothing in her heart for him except hatred.
All of society believes Elizabeth, blind daughter of a duke, to be a proper young lady. But no one knows of her wanton affair with Alynwick. When Lizzy learns of her ancestor’s ancient diary – filled with exotic tales – she longs to uncover the identity of the unnamed lover within and hesitantly allows Alynwick, who claims to have knowledge of the “veiled lady,” to help her solve the mystery.
Eager to be Lizzy’s eyes, Alynwick brings the seductive text to life, and each night it takes greater effort for her to forget his betrayal. With each whispered word, her resolve gives way, without her knowing that a centuries-old secret will lead them to a present-day danger.

My Review
Elizabeth York is a spinster, and blind, and inherited her blindness from her mother who was also blind. With the danger against the Brethren Guardians, her brother wants her to focus on other matters, thinking that she is in grave danger. Most of her life, Elizabeth has had the Guardian business to keep her busy. Now with her blindness, she feels useless. With Iain Sinclair back in her life, she is doing all she can to resist his tender voice and tempting kisses. Suddenly a Lord Sheldon, who shares her interests in the Templar's, is courting her, and for the first time she feels like she can overcome the pain and grief of her past and Iain Sinclair, and find true happiness. Iain Sinclair, one of the Brethren Guardians, is more reckless and hotheaded, and a Scot. He has made many mistakes in his life, but his most disastrous was hurting the one woman with whom he gave his heart too. Iain has finally realized that after all of these years, he still aches and dreams of Beth and the passion they once shared. He knows that he doesn't have a chance in hell to get her back, but being full of pride and arrogance, he tries anyway to show her of his true feelings and that she is the only way that can find anything redeemable in him.
Temptation and Twilight is the third in the Brethren Guardian series. I really enjoyed the second book through Audible, so I decided to get this title on Audible as well. The second book Pride and Passion ended with a bit of a cliffhanger, so I couldn't wait very long to listen to this story. It begins with seeing Iain getting fully involved in Elizabeth's life, when she begins to be courted by a Lord Sheldon. Iain is full of rage at the mention of his name, but seeing them together, infuriates him so that he attacks Lord Sheldon at a ball and puts Elizabeth into shock and dismay. Elizabeth doesn't trust Iain and that is very obvious through the whole story. Elizabeth has been hurt and betrayed by Iain, since they once had a affair ten years previous, and Elizabeth is still hurt and bitter over it. There is also the side plot of intrigue that develops and starts to unravel as the tension between Iain and Elizabeth gets only more fierce.
I had a few issues with Temptation and Twilight, one being Elizabeth. For the most part I liked her as the heroine, and I loved the "blindness" aspect, and I admired her for accepting it as she does. I could understand why she was so bitter and angry with Iain, but it tended to get very frustrating to see how she kept fighting Iain, and vocally, she could get very brutal. As I read this, or listened to it, I got to the point where I wanted to scream or yell at Beth at times. Not always, there were parts of the story especially in the beginning, that I understood why she was so cold and unfeeling toward him. However she didn't really soften until the very end and I found myself being on Iain's side. Iain is more of a darker character, compared to the other Brethren, but you see a side of him that is irresistible. Iain has made many mistakes, and has sacrificed much for the Brethren Guardians. I couldn't help but love him immensely. Iain, a Scot, gorgeous, temptation itself, and he humbles himself quite a bit for Elizabeth. You see the changes in him, determined to win Elizabeth's forgiveness and her love. I couldn't help but admire his tenacity to stick with it, and I felt like Iain is the most misunderstood of all the guardians, and he just might be my favorite. Because he is far from perfect, has many challenges and faults, but he seemed more human to me, and that is my favorite aspect in characters, is when they have faults and more human.
Overall I fell in love with the last installment in this series, and Temptation and Twilight was a good final story that wrapped the series up nicely. I really enjoyed the tension and the intrigue aspect of the story, and the secrets that are revealed that I have been waiting quite a long time to find out. The romance between Iain and Elizabeth was powerful and stimulating. A erotic filled passion that jumps from the pages, and the story entices and pulls you in so that you can't put it down. A sensual tale that will consume you!!!

Synopsis (Goodreads)
Lucy Ashton had long ago given up her quest for true love. In the rarified society of Victorian England, Lucy plays the game; flirting, dancing and dabbling in the newly fashionable spiritualism. Even marrying when and who she's supposed to. If the stuffy Duke of Sussex cannot spark the passion she craves, he can at least give her a family, a home of her own, and a place to belong. But when her polite marriage reveals a caring and sensual man, Lucy begins to wonder if she can indeed have it all.
But Lord Sussex is not the man the London ton has come to admire. And Lucy has some ghosts of her own, as well. Thus, when a blackmail scheme turns to threats of danger, the newfound peace of the Sussex marriage is cast upon the rocks. Passion has a price, Lucy learns. And not all ghosts stay buried.

My Review
Lady Lucy Ashton once thought herself in love, but then she was betrayed and hurt and has decided that she may never be able to have it, even though her dream is to find a man to love and have a small cottage in the country and never have to worry about society or the Ton or expectations. When her father informs her that she must marry, and she will marry the Duke of Sussex, she refuses. But her father is insistent that Adrian will be the man she will marry. Lucy thinks of Adrian as cold and unfeeling and passionless. She knows that a life with him, will be a life without love or passion or tenderness. She isn't willing to give up her dream yet. When her old lover Thomas, thought dead, is very much alive, she is desperate to find him. She has grieved for him, but there is a part of her that loves him. Sussex informs her that it is forbidden to even look for Thomas, for Adrian believes him to be a danger to her. Adrian, has always loved Lucy, and she is everything he could want for a wife. For so many years, the Dukedom has been drilled into him, he puts off the impression that he is cold and unfeeling, but he burns and aches for Lucy. As a Guardian, he has certain responsibilities, but when he sees a connection between Lucy and her ex lover, whom he believes is his enemy, he must find the truth about Lucy, and protect her at all costs. But a danger surfaces, a danger that could threaten all that he holds dear.
This is the second book that I have been able to read by this author, and I have to say that she has scored high again. I decided to try this one through Audible, so was able to listen to it. I have always loved audio books, but don't listen to them too often. So at first I was a bit nervous when I started this, since I had to get used to the accent and the voice of the narrator. However I found I quite enjoyed the accent, and the way she displayed the emotion in the story. It took me about a week to get this listened to, since I would just listen to it at bed, or on my way to work. I found many positive elements to the story and the way Charlotte Featherstone weaves a story together. I would say she is at the top of my list of favorites. I love the way she puts a story together, there is much more to it than a simple regency romance. It has a bit of a darker side to it, but not too dark, but mysterious and exciting and perfect for this time of the year. From the first book, I could hardly wait to read Adrian and Lucy's story. You see the connection they have in the beginning and frankly I was on Adrian's side the whole time!! You see both sides, but I would say I have adored Adrian for quite some time, and you see from the first chapter, how much he genuinely cares for her, and only wants her to feel as he does. I did understand Lucy's dilemma, she has been hurt in the past, and doesn't want to settle. I loved how stubborn she is, and stands up to Adrian. But I thought she was too stubborn and too pigheaded to see what was in front of her.
The plot was exciting and definitely had some shocks, and I loved seeing the suspense and mystery side to the story. It seemed to me that it had such depth and such captivating scenes that instantly draw you into the book, and you can't seem to pull yourself away. There is a certain magical quality I seem to think, to the authors writing, that keeps the reader engaged until the end, and even then keeps you thirsty for more. The danger aspect was quite thrilling, and there were times I was on tender hooks wondering what was going to happen next. Many a time, there was a moment or two that I was a bit tempted to skip ahead, but I wanted to stick with the story, no matter how tense it became. There was quite a few things I liked about the romance in the story. One is that it is more the heroine that has to learn more about love and devotion. I could help but fall in love with Adrian, sexy and handsome, tender and sweet, but beyond possessive, it will curl your toes. Lucy, even though I had a couple issues with her, I felt like there was much more to her than meets the eye. She has a will of iron, and I enjoyed seeing how she stands up to her father and to Adrian. She is willing to wait for love no matter the consequences. The relationship between Adrian and Lucy was full of tension especially in the beginning, but toward the end, there was such a beautiful complexity to it, that just made me green with envy.
Overall I felt like Pride & Passion was packed full with every positive element that makes a romance like this one intimate and heart wrenching. There was quite a certain sensual passion to the love story, and with more than enough suspense and danger to satisfy any thrill craving you may have. A tantalizing read that will satisfy your craving for a sizzling and passion filled romance.

My Review
Summary
Jenny, is a fortune teller, and has a sophisticated clientele. When one of her regular clients, Ned, comes to her to convince his cousin of her authenticity. Gareth is a man of science, and ever since he came into his title, he has had to bear the weight of his title and all the responsibilities. Ned is young and innocent enough to be taken advantage of. When he hears about "Madame Esmerelda" he plans to discredit her, because he knows she is deceiving his cousin. At first he challenge her, and she in return challenges him back, and he finds her spirited and lovely and finds her irresistable and can't wait to get her into his bed. However he doesn't plan on ever falling in love....especially with a woman that matches him in all the ways that matter.
The Hero (Gareth Carhart)
Gareth, Lord Blakely has a passion for the scienes. And on the outside may seem cold and withdrawn but craves companionship and hates the feeling of loneliness. However he doesn't fully realize it until he meets Jenny, who turns his world of order into a world of chaos. He knows she is far different from him, but from the first time she spars with him, his desire for her encompasses him and it takes all his effort to keep his self control in check and not make passionate love to her for days on end.
The Hero (Jenny Keeble)
Jenny, is a fortune teller, which is not as easy as it looks. Jenny has worked hard over the years, for her reputation. She depends on her regular clientele in order to survive here in London. Now Lord Blakely is threatening to ruin everything, including her friendship with his cousin, who is like family to her. The only person that has ever shown kindness to her. But Gareth is very different, he makes her feel alive for the first time in her life, and finds herself falling in love with her.
My Thoughts
Proof By Seduction is the second in the series, and I now wonder why I haven't read more from this author before now. Milan has a very unique style of writing, one that instantly draws the reader instantly into the story. From the first sentance in the story I was hooked. I loved how from the first couple of pages, we see the first meeting of Gareth and Jenny. I have to say I found myself cracking up seeing them interact, it was like witnessing a sparring match, only verbally. I love the witty characteristics that played out throughout the story, and how you see these two people fall in love who may seem different in the beginning, are perfect for each other. I also loved the creativity of this author, and some of the scenes were definitely not commonplace. Overall a creatively written and fun story filled with endearing characters, engaging plot and intensely romantic that will make you shed a tear or two.

The Hero

My Thoughts
This was the first novel that I have read from this author, and I just fell in love with this story. It starts out a little slow but eventually the story really kicks into gear, and I found myself not able to put it down. I have always had a weakness for Sheikh's love stories, and this is probably at the top of my favorites now....Kalid is very arrogant and holds power in his hands....but as the story progressed you start to just fall in love with him as the hero. Sarah is very strong willed and determined and I just loved how she stands up to Kalid with no fear....and I just enjoyed seeing these two fall for each other....it was a heartwarming romance, that will tickle your toes as you read...and warm your heart!!! A beautiful story set in a exotic place!!! Definitely looking forward to reading more from this breathtaking author who creates wonderful stories to capture the heart!!

Summary
Aline once fell in love with John McKenna, who she grew up with as a child, but when she became a woman everything changed, and after she had to force him to leave, her life changed forever....and now he is back in her life, and she knows that the least thing he is thinking of is the love they once shared, but revenge that is directed toward her. However as much as she wants to she knows she can't risk telling him the truth no matter how much it makes her ache inside. John, knew that there was no future for them but now he is forever changed from that young innocent stable boy who believed in love and hope for the future. He has created his own future, but Aline has always haunted his thoughts and has come back to get his revenge, only things don't add up and his passion for Aline resurfaces only stronger than ever.....
The Hero (John Mckenna)
John, grew up as a stable boy, and his future was looking pretty bleak, at least apart from having Aline part of his life. But when she betrayed him and he was sent away, he knew he would never forgive or forget. Now he has made a very prosperous life for himself, and his need for justice against Aline is even greater, even though he doesn't know how far he is willing to go....until he tastes her kiss and he knows that the spark between them had never died. And even though he wants to take his vengeance out on her, he knows that he has always loved her and doesn't know if he can bring himself to hurt her....
The Hero (Aline Marsden)
Aline, grew up knowing that there was no future for her or John, especially given whom her father is, and her position in society, however she always had hope in her love for him, but when she was caught and had to force him to leave so that he could make a life for himself, she knew she would never forgive herself and has regretted her decision ever since. But is shocked when he comes back into her life, and the love she once had for him reawakens ever stronger.
My Thoughts
Again The Magic, is the fourth in the Bow Street Runners, I think I may have read this one once before, but I don't remember it but there were parts that seemed familiar. I just fell in love with this book, it was everything I could have hoped for. Aline, is darling, even though I think she could have used more spine to fight for what she really wanted. For some reason John seemed so amusing to me, I really have no idea why, just that his character appealed to me in a certain way that made me smile. I just loved how the story progressed, the bed scenes were very heated but at the same time romantically sweet. I find the more I read this author the more I wish more authors were like her, I just love her stories and how they connect even though the series are different from each other. I also loved how their was a side love story to Aline's and Westcliffs younger sister....I found Again the Magic a very charming love story that just sang to the heart.....even though it had some flaws overall an sweet love story......

Now he is back into her life when she had just started to move on with her life, and is put in a situation where she knows her heart may get broken for a second time.
My Thoughts
If You Desire is the second in the MacCarrick trilogy, and by far my favorite of the series. When I first started reading this book, I kept hoping that it would be as good as I had heard about, but after read the first in the series and being disappointed I didn't want to get my hopes too high. However, I think I just fell in lust/love with If You Desire. I would have to say the best of the series!!! I loved the story of this series...where you have two people who have fallen in love with each other before but both ended up hurt, but find themselves in close proximity to each other again and this time the love they share is only magnified. There were so hilarious moments in this book...that had me unseated with laughter. The sensuality side of this story, was sexy and hott but not too much that turned me off...it was just perfect in my estimation. There was such delicious material in this book that it will leave you only earning for more!! A Tantalizing Read!!!!

High in the Pyrenees, a band of mercenaries led by Courtland MacCarrick wages war for General Reynaldo Pascal. When Court turns on the evil general, Pascal orders him killed but Court narrowly escapes and exacts revenge by kidnapping Pascal's exquisite Castilian fiancée.
Can she deny her passions?
Lady Annalía Tristán Llorente despises her towering, barbaric captor almost as much as she does Pascal. Her inexplicable attraction to the Highlander only fuels her fury. But nothing will stop her from returning to Pascal -- for if she doesn't wed him, she signs her brother's death warrant, as well as her own.
Can there be love between them?
From the moment Court discovers that Anna's prim façade masks a fiery, brave lass, his heart's ensnared, and he dares to defy the curse that has shadowed his life -- to walk with death or walk alone. But Pascal vows that he'll hunt the two, never stopping until he's destroyed them both

Summary:
Court, has been waging against a evil tyrant, General Pascal. Then he is almost killed and escapes and is found by Annalia, who nurses him back to health. However what Court never expected was to start falling for beautiful Annalia, whose fiery spirit only increases his attraction to her...and before he knows it, he finds himself in love with her and willing to do whatever to make her happy.
The Hero (Courtland MacCarrick)
Court, along with his two brothers are cursed, and knows that it would be wrong to ever bind a woman to him...for it would only bring misery and pain. So he tries to maintain his distance from his siren of a captive, only the passion he feels for her in undeniable and he knows that she is slowly creeping into his heart and soul....and nothing can save him or her.
The Heroine (Annalia Llorente)
Annallia, has gone through much in her young life...but now her brother is the prisoner of a demented and very evil man, who would easily kill him. However when she finds a injured man, and takes him to her homes so he can recuperate, since her caring soul can't refuse someone injured....she never expected her life to take twists and turns as they do when she is near Court, but never thought that she would fall in love with the man who has taken her prisoner.
My Thoughts
If You Dare, is the first in the MacCarrick Brothers Series....and as much as I enjoyed If You Deceive, I had such a difficult time reading this one. I finished it for sure...but it did take a little while...and there was inconsistency throughout the whole story...I think if it had run more smoothly I may have enjoyed it more...however despite that the characters were at times likable but I had a hard time with Court and Annalia...it seemed like the whole story apart from the end was all about how they fight with each other, and I couldn't see how they could even fall in love with each other....but I did enjoy the ending most of all...however It was far from my favorite from this author...

Burning vengeance...
Ethan MacCarrick was a heartbreakingly handsome rake until a powerful nobleman ordered him brutally beaten and his face scarred for a crime he didn't commit. Ethan's reprisal -- bankrupting the nobleman and forcing his exile -- does little to appease his wrath. Ten years later, a haughty, mysterious beauty enchants Ethan -- the daughter of his enemy. At last, Ethan will have the revenge he's craved; he'll promise her marriage, seduce her, then cast her aside.
Bitter hardships...
When Madeleine van Rowen's family was suddenly plunged into destitution and dishonor, she steeled herself against further heartache. She never weakened, never trusted, until a towering, scarred Highlander relentlessly pursues her, breaking down her defenses.
At what price forgiveness?
The passion between them burns hotter than Ethan's fury, and soon he finds he can't let her go. But when Madeleine uncovers the truth about him, can Ethan convince her to accept all he now offers -- when he once destroyed everything she had?

MY REVIEW
Summary:
Ethan, was once handsome as sin until a nobleman had him tortured and scarred, which would change his life, and Ethan spent years feeling a lust for revenge. Now ten years later, he finds a beauty who enchants him and spending a magical night with her, he knows she could definitely break through the ice around his heart, until he finds out who she really is, the daughter of the nobleman that ordered his scarring, and has a plan for revenge, to make her fall for him, marry her and then cast her away from him in the end. Only things never go as planned when the heart is involved, and the more he goes after his plan, he starts to realize that they are perfect each other and he would rather cut his own face again over hurting her again...
The Hero (Ethan MacCarrick)
Ethan, has been blistering with vengence for ten long years. When he sees Madeleine, he is utterly captivated, and is bewildered by it, because she isn't his usual type of woman. Ethan has been mocking his two brothers who have fallen for their women and acted like 'idiots and fools' and plans on never being like they are, totally besotted. But the more and more he is surrounded by Madeleine and her sweet spirit, he will fall hard and fast like nothing before and will be too lost before he can escape.
The Heroine (Madeleine Van Rowen)
Madeleine, ever since she was fourteen years old has been on her own, surviving as best she could. With her family being plunged into disgrace and being destitute, her mother dying from a severe disease, she has had to fend for herself. She has never found relief from her life until Ethan enters into her life, like a knight in shining armor, but when everything comes revealed, will her love for him be strong enough...
My Thoughts
If You Deceive is the third in the MacCarrick series, and I have read a book or two from this author but they were average liked reads, so I haven't read much from her since, but when I read a really good review of If You Deceive I knew I had to give her historical's a chance, and I think I just loved this one and I am much looking forward to reading the rest in the series. I loved how there were different twists and turns throughout the story that continued to surprise me at every turn....the passion and heat between Madeleine and Ethan was body tingling, and the fast paced action kept me in suspense. The writing in If You Deceive was tantalizing and drew the reader into her story with a superb talent that I hadn't experienced from this author...looking forward to reading more from her!! A Splendid Read!!

Under the pert pen name "Lady Smart," opinionated Lindsey Graham crusades for social change among London's elite, writing for the ladies' gazette Heart to Heart. But Lindsey's greatest campaign begins when her brother Rudy, a notorious rake, is accused of murdering a string of prostitutes.
Her confidence in his innocence is bolstered when an anonymous letter arrives naming Viscount Merrick as the killer. Lindsey launches her own investigation into the gentleman's questionable pursuits, a risky venture that earns her an unwelcome bodyguard--Thor Draugr.
At first, Lindsey refuses the protection of her employer's brother-in-law. They are like oil and water, yet she can barely conceal her attraction to the rugged Norseman. But an attempt on her life reveals not only the lengths that someone will go to in order to prevent her interference in the viscount's sordid affairs, but that she can no longer deny that she desires the warrior by her side....

Thor is unused to independent women, he is accustomed to women that are passionate but know their place, and Lindsey definitely doesn't know her own boundries, and its up to him to make sure that she doesn't get in too deep without him at her side, only what neither of these strong willed people realized was that there was a unbridled passion about to be shown, and things are about to get even more intense....
The Hero (Thor Draugr)
Thor, grew up on a island, that many don't know the existence of. On this island is still the thriving culture of the Vikings, and Thor decided to leave with his brother and come to England. Thor craves the countryside with peaceful surrounding, which reminds him more of home, than London does. Lindsey frustrated and infuriates him at times, but as he agrees to protect her, he never expected to find his own lifemate...
The Heroine (Lindsey Graham)
Lindsey, loves her job at Heart to Heart, a Ladies Gazette. Lindsey grew up with her parents always traveling, and she and her brother on their own with their aunt. Lindsey is independent, and strong willed, and is determined more than ever to clear her brothers name, no matter how much danger she may be in. Lindsey doesn't like the presence of her bodyguard, who is unlike any man she has ever known, and he stirs up her blood. Even though they are complete opposites, she knows that he is her destiny...
My Thoughts
Heart of Courage is the last in the Heart Trilogy by Kat Martin. I found this to be such a thrilling read, and I found myself at the edge of my seat most of the time. Heart Of Courage is a exciting tale of romance, intrigue, and adventure. I just loved immersing myself into this story, I found it hard to draw myself away from reading it. I think this one is just as good as the other previous books that I have read from this author, and I am looking forward to reading more of her works. Kat Martin definitely delivers in this book and in the series!!! A POIGNANT ROMANCE THAT WILL LEAVE YOU BREATHLESS FOR MORE!!

My Thoughts
Heart of Fire is the second installment in the Heart Trilogy by Kat Martin. Now this is the first chance I have had to read from this author, and I after such a enjoyable time I had reading Heart of Fire, I have decided to definitely try out the rest of her books. I had heard good and bad things about Martin's books, but the blurb and the cover got me hooked, and after reading the first chapter, I knew I would fall in love with this story and not regretting reading it, and I was right!!! It was such a delight to read, for one I love mystery mixed with sizzling romance, so it was a perfect mixture of what I truly enjoy in a good book. The characters were refreshing and lively, and were portrayed so vividly, its like I know that as real people LOL Crazy I know, but when I get into a good book, that tends to happen frequently. Such a enjoyable read!! I am definitely looking forward to reading
My Favorite Quote
He wanted Letty Moss (Corrie's assumed name). With her lovely copper hair and small but voluptuous body, she drew him like a moth to the flame. Gray slid an arm around her waist and hauled her against him. He drew her closer, enfolded her in his arms and kissed her until her mouth began to soften under his.

Synopsis
As a viscount's daughter, vivacious Coralee Whitmore is perfectly placed to write about London's elite in the outspoken ladies' gazette, Heart to Heart. But beneath her fashionable exterior beats the heart of a serious journalist.
So when her sister's death is dismissed as suicide, Corrie vows to uncover the truth, suspecting the notorious Earl of Tremaine was Laurel's lover and the father of her illegitimate child. Corrie infiltrates Castle Tremaine posing as a wide-eyed country relation whose charming figure-- and reduced circumstances--make her irresistible to the confirmed scoundrel. But Corrie finds the earl is not all he seems...nor is she immune to his charms, however much she despises his caddish ways.
Far from a society column, Corrie's life soon reads more like one of Mr. Dickens's serials. But the danger of her ruse is hardly fictional: someone is bent on ensuring Corrie's questions go unanswered--and unasked.

Summary:
Winnifred Hathaway, has been in love with Kev Merripen, but he refuses to accept the feelings they have for each other. So after suffering from being sickly, she goes to France for a couple of years, to see a doctor that has helped patients in similar condition as she is in. When she comes back healthy and vibrant with life, she expects that Kev will finally accept them being together and she can finally not have to hide her true feelings from him, especially the powerful passion that flames up between them. However Kev is still just as stubborn as ever, and seems more primal now that she brought the young doctor with her. Kev, scarred on the inside from his time with his uncle among the romany, is bitter and knows that he can never be with Win, for he would never want to harm her, and knows that there is a beast inside of him, reading to burst free, but Win is just as stubborn and determined as he is, and will fight with every breath left in her to convince him that their love is worth fighting for....
The Hero (Kev Merripen)
Kev, not wanted by his real father, is sent to his uncle, and treated like a dog, and now is hardened because of his past. Kev is a intimidating man, but there is one family that doesn't feel intimidated by him, and thats the Hathaways, who are more unusual of gadjes that one would expect, but there is one Hathaway who is his downfall and must harden himself to her, so that he doesn't succumb, because he knows that he could very well hurt her, and that's the last thing that he would do, and she deserves much more than a rom, but he finds it hard letting go for she is what he lives and breathes for....
The Heroine (Winnifred Hathaway)
Win, has been sickly ever since she suffered from a sickness years ago, and survived, but her body has always been weak since then, and she dreams of the day that she can be strong and healthy again. When she hears of a doctor in France, who has had success with people in similar conditions as herself, she decides to go, and although she is gone for two years, she hopes that the love that she has for Kev, will be strong enough to make him realize how she could never live without him in her life....
My Thoughts
Seduce Me At Sunrise is the second installment in the Hathaway series by Lisa Kleypas. From the first book in the series, we see and ache for Win, for suffering as she does. I just have loved Kev and Win, and loved reading their story, so achingly sweet yet a tormenting side to the story as well. Kev is a man that is haunted by his past and has suffered much and doesn't reveal his true self to Win, knowing that she could never accept him. But Win is strong and spirited and fights for those that she loves, even stubborn and pig headed Rom's. There were parts of this story that made me cry, and parts that made me laugh, and was a entertaining story to say the least. It stole my heart from the first chapter!!! AN UNFORGETTABLE STORY!!!!
My Favorite Quote
What if this were the last moment you ever had with me? Wouldn't you have been sorry not to tell me how you felt? Wouldn't you--" Merripen covered her mouth with his, desperate for a way to make her quiet. His arms went around her, wrapping her in his vast strength, holding her against the hardness of his body. And then everything ignited, and they were both lost in a furor of need.

Nick Gentry is reputed to be the most skillful lover in all England. Known for solving delicate situations, he is hired to seek out Miss Charlotte Howard. He believes his mission will be easily accomplished -- but that was before he met the lady in question.
For instead of a willful female, he discovers one in desperate circumstances, hiding from a man who would destroy her very soul. So Nick shockingly offers her a very different kind of proposition -- one he has never offered before.
He asks her to be his bride.
And he knows that this will be much more than a union in name only. For he senses what Charlotte does not yet know -- that her appetite for sensuality matches his own. But what Nick learns surprises him. For while London's most notorious lover might claim Charlotte's body, he quickly discovers it will take much more than passion to win her love.

My Thoughts
Worth Any Price is the third and final installment in the Bow Street Runners series that Lisa Kleypas has created. Worth Any Price is Nick Gentry story, and after seeing him previously, I have definitely been looking forward to reading his story. Nick is a special hero, and one that is close to my heart, and one of my favorite characters that this author has created. He is a haunted and dangerous man, but there is a appeal about him, where you just want to comfort the man, for he has gone through many hardships throughout his life. Worth Any Price is a charming story about two people who deserve love and happiness having never been able to find it for themselves, but together will find the most exquisite pleasure and joy. From the first page I was drawn into the story and could hardly put it down and is captivating to the bone......I LOVED it!!!
My Favorite Quote
"You'll find life far more enjoyable as my wife," Gentry Continued " You won't be anyone's servant. You can do as you please within reasonable limits. And you won't have to fear Lord Radnor any longer. "
"All for the price of sleeping with you," She muttered. He smiled, all velvety arrogance, as he replied, "You may come to enjoy that part of it most of all."

A lady must be prepared for anything . . . when marrying a scoundrel.
Sadie Moon once thought she was in love. Then her dashing husband left her to seek his fortune, and she had no choice but to transform herself from a heartbroken waif into London Society's favorite fortune-teller. Now wealthy and successful, Jack Friday has everything he'd ever dreamed of . . . except Sadie. He swears he will never trust the woman who broke her promise to wait for him, though his passion for her burns as hotly as ever before. My Thoughts
When Marrying A Scoundrel is the second installment in the Victorian Soap Opera series...I just love Kathryn Smith..at least the books that I have read so far. I just fell in love with this story and the characters hard and fast. I just loved loved loved Sadie, she was fresh and spirited, yet hid vulnerabilities when it came to love and especially to Jack. Through the whole story we see these two fall in love all over again despite protests to the contrary, and we also see a mystery unravel. So it was fun and refreshing romance and I just love Kathryn Smith's style of writing. Its like a breath of fresh air....and I just truly loved When Marrying A Scoundrel!! It was EXCELLENT!!!

My Thoughts
Mine Till Midnight is the first in the Hathaway Series by Lisa Kleypas. After reading the Wallflower series and seeing the sex gypsy'Cam' that we all know and love. It was a thrill to read Mine Till Midnight, and even though this isn't the first time that I have read this book, I just fall in love with it every time that I read it. Cam and Amelia are one of my favorite couples that Kleypas' has created. I found this story to be invigorating and each page enthralling. Keeps you on your toes with every adventure, every kiss and each moment that will leave you breathless...A UNFORGETTABLE STORY!!!
My Favorite Quote
"What about your freedom?" Amelia asked, snuggling close as he lay beside her "Are you sorry to have lost it?"
"No love," Cam reached to turn down the lamp "I've finally found it. Right here, with you."

Synopsis
When an unexpected inheritance elevates her family to the ranks of the aristocracy, Amelia Hathaway discovers that tending to her younger sisters and wayward brother was easy compared to navigating the intricacies of the ton. Even more challenging: the attraction she feels for the tall, dark, and dangerously handsome Cam Rohan.
Wealthy beyond most men’s dreams, Cam has tired of society’s petty restrictions and longs to return to his “uncivilized” Gypsy roots. When the delectable Amelia appeals to him for help, he intends to offer only friendship—but intentions are no match for the desire that blindsides them both. But can a man who spurns tradition be tempted into that most time-honored arrangement: marriage? Life in London society is about to get a whole lot hotter…

MY REVIEW
Summary:
Louisa Shelby, once enjoyed a life full of parties and balls, but after her father died, Louisa and her two sisters were forced to find a means of providing for themselves. So Louisa decided to be a lady's companion. Now she has been requested to do a job as a companion to an elderly viscountess, only never expecting to find that she isn't really expected to be a lady's companion at all, since the Viscontess hardly needs one, but her granddaughter, is in desperate need to overcome her shyness around men especially. But there is also Simon Wade to consider, who after a accident with his horse, became blind. So now its obvious that she is there to help both of the younger wades, even though they don't know it. Louisa however never expected to fall in love with this man, who has stolen her heart from the first.
The Hero (Simon Wade)
Simon, has always been close to his grandmother much more than to his own mother, who has never truly cared about him or his younger sister, whom he is very over protective of. Simon after suffering from a fall from his horse, is now blind. Simon is a very proud man, and as such has had to hide from most of the world, even most of his friends. At first knowing of Louisa being his grandmothers companion, he was suspicous recalling her reputation being rumored to be "fast" but as he gets to know her and how Louisa interacts with his sister, he realizes the rumors were just that...rumors. And that even though he could never marry, he knows that he could easily fall in love with her.
The Heroine (Louisa Shelby)
Lousia was forced to find a occupation and decided to be a ladies companion, only her past jobs haven't turned out too well, but her most recent job she found something she was capable at and felt fullfillment, more than anything she has had in her life, something that gives her meaning. She helped a girl come out into society, and get married, a girl that was once very shy. Now she is put in a situation where she could help another shy girl, sister to Simon Wade. Louisa, seeing both her sisters settled in love and blissfully happy, has yet to find the same happiness, and wonders if she ever will. But when she starts helping out the Wade family, she starts to fall in love with the life in the country and with the family...especially Simon Wade, and wonders if her love for Simon could break her or bring her the highest happiness she could ever have.
My Thoughts
The Viscount In Her Bedroom is the last in the Sisters of Willow Pond written by Gayle Callen. I just love this author and I have loved this series, its such a tender filled romance, and even though I have read this before, its one of those that I could re read and still delightfully enjoy it. The Viscount In Her Bedroom is a story that involves two people that have both suffered, but in very different way, but they share a passion and as the story develops we see a enchanting love blossom. Such a beautifully written story with such detail it seemed at times that I was actually there in the moment, the characters were lively, and the story line very enticing, and before I knew it I was finished with the book. From beginning to end I was fully satisfied, and absolutely adored it!!!
My Favorite Quote
" I love you Simon, and I would be proud to be your wife. You see inside me where others only see what they want to see. You make me feel so precious and loved."
"Not damn near enough, and that will end right now" He drew her into his arms and kissed her.
