Q: What are some of your favorite magazines?

A: I am not a huge fan of the more social magazines such as people and cosmo. Sometimes I will read them if they are the only ones at the doctors office. But I love National Geographic, Real Simple, and Better Homes.

What do you do with your books after you’re done reading them?

It depends on where I acquire them. If I have bought them, then I put them on my book shelves. If its a Nook or Ebook they stay on my NOOK.

Q: Have you broken up with a series? If so which one and why

A: Yes, it doesn't happen very often, but the "Legend of Second Sons" by Isobel Carr. I read the first one 'Ripe for Pleasure', and I really had a hard time with it. I didn't even finish it, so I did try for the second one, and just couldn't get into it at all. So I just gave up on the series.

Q: Happy Mother's Day! Who is your favorite mom from fiction?

A: Oh hard question, but if I had to pick my favorite--I would say Isabelle from Jake by Leigh Greenwood. She takes a active role in the rest of the series which is about all of their adoptive sons, and I just love her sacrifice and willing to do whatever it took to make sure they had a loving home and family. I just love her to pieces. She is almost like a mama bear with her husband and kids.

Q: If you could hang out with any author (living) who would it be and what would you want to do?

A: If I had to choose one it would have to be Sabrina Jeffries. She has been one of my top favorite authors since I first got into romance. I have always wondered where her inspiration came from and would love to share a cup of tea with her, to discuss her inspiration.

Q: Tell us about the most emotional scene you’ve ever read in a book – and how did you react?

A: That is a tough one. I would say from This Is All I Ask, the book was like a emotional roller coaster, and there were times I could hardly read, blurry vision and all. Lynn Kurland has a way in this book of vividly portraying emotion.

Q: What is your guilty pleasure as far as reading? Is it a genre, or is it a certain type of book?

A: Oh this is easy....Historical Romance...more specifically Scottish Highlander romances. I just love anything with romance...but my first romance novels I read were Historical's, so they are my greatest weakness.

--Well there is a creek right by my apts, that I like to go and read, its beautiful and peaceful, and before it gets too hot in the summer time, I love to enjoy the nice weather while reading a good book.

What is a book you didn’t like that all your friends raved about or what book did you love that wasn’t popular?

I think that happens to all of us, since everyone has different interests, so its reasonable that we wouldn't love what others like. For me I just have loved some of the books by margo maguire, but I know not everyone enjoys her books. Also one author that I have loved is Lynn Kurland but I know her style of books aren't for everyone.

A: Oh wow!! I have no idea what I would do...I am usually more reserved, but maybe if they were throwing some good ones, I might do some moves, scream loudly, maybe even sing...who knows? there is a realm of possibilities.

Feature And Follow (24)

Q: Who is your favorite villain from a book?

A; Well that is very hard, because most villians are true evil, so its difficult to have a favorite. I would say its a tie between two stories. The first would be Lisa Kleypas, in " Lady Sophia's Lover" we have Sophia's brother, who just cause grief but yet one can't help but love him, because you see some good potential in him. The second would be in pretty much both series by Jeaniene Frost, there is a villian, but is more of a irritant, who causes drama to the extreme, a friend to Bones and Mencheres, but somehow even though he does some pretty bad things, as a reader you can't help but be amused by his antics. So on occasion the villian can be likeable and entertaining.
