Synopsis:
Ted Skala and Erika Fredell were the perfect New Jersey high school sweethearts. Like many teens Ted and Erika spent plenty of time in parked cars under the stars, but there was so much more between them than the chemistry that ignited their courtship, and Ted couldn’t imagine a life without Erika. By graduation he was ready to get engaged. Erika, however, was ready to spread her wings and faraway she flew to college. She broke his heart. She sailed the world.
Fast forward 15 years. Living in Manhattan, Erika successfully climbs the corporate ladder but her love life stinks. Ted is also living the life of a successful businessman in Manhattan, and he’s involved in a serious relationship. Problem is, he still can’t get Erika out of his system. When fate intervenes and their paths cross, the result is emotionally explosive and that old black magic is back with the force of a super nova. But Erika once ravaged his heart: How can Ted ever trust her again? And now that he’s seriously involved with another woman, how can Erika hope for a second chance with the man she never should have let go?

My Review:
Ted Skala and Erika Fredell were high school sweethearts, but Erika wanted a career and to see the world, which in the end broke Ted's heart. Back when they were teens they had their hearts in their eyes, and everything was burning bright and beautiful, and a future full of hopes and dreams, and a young tender love that nothing would destroy. Now fifteen years later, Ted and Erika meet, having both living in Manhatten, however as they are both successful in their careers, Erika has yet to find love and happiness, but Ted is in a relationship with someone else. Now their past love is put at the test as their emotions go haywire as seeing each other once more. Now as they end up colliding into each other, they decide to take a chance on the lost love they once had, but will they be able to take that leap of faith that could either be fatal, or the best choice they could ever make and have a true happily ever after.
Meet Me In Manhatten is a Reality Based Romance™, started by True Vows, and I was asked to take part of this tour of three books of True Vows. So Meet Me In Manhatten is the first of the three books, that I will read and write a review for, and I feel so honored to be asked to read these three Reality Based Romances™. I have always loved reading romances, and I just loved reading Meet Me In Manhatten. This wonderfully written romance started when they meet again after fifteen years in Manhatten, and then the story takes us back to when they first fell in love, when they were both fresh and in high school, and when they find they are true soul mates, and how they both lose the love they miraculously found in each other. Now fifteen years after, they start to connect once more, not knowing how this will end, but willing to take the chance to re-ignite the once tender love. I found this to be such a heart warming story, that had me shedding a tear or two, especially since its a true love story. I found it to be heart wrenching throughout the whole story, knowing how much this couple has gone through to find each other after so long. Meet Me In Manhatten is a true treasure!!
