Synopsis Award-winning author Melissa Mayhue delivers once more with her
second enchanting novel of the MacDowylt clan, featuring a captive
Scottish seer who awaits the man from her visions to rescue—and
love—her. . . . Former special ops agent CHASE NOBLE has been searching his
whole life for the place where he belongs. As a descendant of Fae, he
senses fate has more in store for him. And he will not rest until he
discovers what his true purpose is. When he travels back in time to
medieval Scotland, he discovers his mission is to save a beautiful
woman—the same woman he is destined to be with.
CHRISTIANA
MACDOWYLT possesses the gift of foresight. Prisoner of her evil half
brother, Christiana has visions that show her that only one warrior can
rescue her—a man she is mysteriously drawn to. The only problem is, he’s
in the future. Now she must rely on the magic of a fairy to transport
him to the past. And when Christiana finally meets Chase, the sparks
between them set off a smoldering desire. But will the magic that
brought them together also tear them apart?
My Review Summary
In the Present Day, Chase Noble, is the son of a Fae, and has always known that there is much more to his life than just existing. He knows that there is a purpose in his future, and he knows it will be spectacular, only he never expected that he would be sent back 700 years into the late 1200's. He knows that he has no idea what to expect, or what fate has in plan for him. Christiana has always possessed certain gifts, one of those being the gift of foresight, and because of this, she has been a prisoner of her evil half brother who would kill her if she doesn't do what he says. Christiana has seen that a strange man would come into her life and rescue her, what she doesn't expect is to fall in love with him. Chase upon hearing of Christiana's dilemma, knows he must do everything he can to protect her. Chase has his own gifts, and will do everything he can to use all at his disposal to save the one woman who is his destiny.
My Thoughts
After reading "Warrior's Redemption" I was really looking forward to Christiana's story. I am a huge fan of this author, and I have to say this cover alone would probably get me to read it. I do love the mix of blue and silver and purple, and *drooling* the gorgeous man with the sword who just gets my heart rate up, is just so delicious right? Well I was very excited to pick this one up, and I have to say I wasn't disappointed. I found it to be a quick read and easy to get into but hard to put down.
It pretty much picks off right after the last one, (which I liked that aspect of it) where Christiana has just sent off her brother, and not knowing when she will see him again, she then returns to her home (if you could even call it that), and to her evil brother who always stays one step ahead of her. There isn't much she can do to keep anything from him. However after her vision of Chase, she knows she must keep as much from him as possible, in order to protect the life of the man that would end up saving her soon. In present day Montana, we jump to Chase, who we see a man who is very eager to start his journey that is planned for him. Chase has always known that there is something special in store for his future, he just doesn't know what or when. What he doesn't expect is to be transported into the past, and still has no idea of his true purpose until he meets Christiana. Christiana doesn't intend on finding such a instant attraction to Chase, she just wants to keep things simple. She soon learns that things never are simple when you need or expect them to be. There is so much intense emotion and even some dramatic scenes that definitely will give you the butterfly feeling. Not a dull moment.
I have to say that I just adored Chase and Christiana, both as separate characters and as a couple as well. In the beginning we see them both living their individual lives, and then we see them together and they are just perfect for each other. Chase is the type of man that is a "protector", and he just loves women, but is not the rake type or to sleep around, but when it does happen with Christiana, I think I just want to gobble him up. He is what I would call the "magnifique lover". Chase even though living in the present day, can still handle a sword (and quite well) and makes the transition to a contemporary world to a medieval one very smoothly for the most part. Christiana, has her own strength, but its more on the inner side of her. She isn't the warrior woman type in any way. In this story we see how courageous she is and creative at times, and I loved her inner strength especially against her brother who is evil through and through. However she is the type of heroine that is in need of a knight in shining armor. She has a vulnerabilty and I liked how human that made her. She makes her share of mistakes, but she also faces the consequences and doesn't hide anything from herself. I really appreciated her as the heroine, and liked her tenacity.
Overall a extraordiary romance that will send a thrill from head to toe. A never ending journey of adventure through time, a love that will melt your heart and a passion to make you want to swoon. I absolutely adored this time period that Mayhue takes us to, and the way she puts together such a magical tale of compelling characters, and a plot to only fill you with delight. A highly charged romantic tale!! A WINNER!
First Line Nothing was as it should be.
Favorite Quote It was him!How she had not known it from the moment he'd entered her door was beyond her. She'd never clearly seen his face, but those eyes! She'd been lost in them too many times not to know them now. Her whole body tingled with reognition, a physical reaction to their first meeting she'd never forseen or imagined possible.

Synopsis Will the magic of modern romance help him defeat an evil ancient power?
MALCOLM
MACDOWYLT sees himself a failed warrior, haunted by the death of the
woman he married to become laird of Clan MacGahan. Neither his Viking
heritage nor his claim to descend from Norse gods can restore his
confidence in his ability to protect his people. His sister is held
captive, her life in jeopardy, and his Magically powerful half brother
wants him dead. The last thing he needs is more responsibility, but
that's exactly what he gets when his Faerie mother-in-law arrives
seeking justice for her daughter in the form of an enticing woman from
seven hundred years in the future.
DANIELLE DEARMON has waited
fifteen years to discover the life she is supposed to live. She just
never dreamed she'd end up in the thirteenth century with a handsome
Scot bent on saving everyone but himself.
With the lives of those
most dear to him hanging in the balance, Malcolm sets out to battle a
powerful evil Magic, only to learn that the redemption he seeks exists
only in the arms of the woman he loves.
My Review Summary
Malcolm, has recently lost his wife, and blames himself for her death. Along with that, he is Laird of the Clan of MacGahan, and his sisters life is in danger from his older brother and he plans on rescuing her as soon as he can. Even though he is a descendant of Norse gods, he doesn't know how he will be able to protect his family and his clan from harm. Danielle has always believed in fairies. Ever since she was a little girl and read a book about fairies, she has, every day, for the past fifteen years, brought out some milk for them, no matter what is going on in the day, or the weather, she has remained constant in her belief in them. Dani believes that there is a purpose in her life, and that one day it will be revealed to her. She just has no idea what that purpose is. When Malcolm's mother in law comes for a visit, he questions why she would, since she is considered to be a fairy. But when she comes to the mortal world wanting to know the true reason of her daughter's death, she realizes how much Malcolm loved her daughter and tried to protect her. So as a reward to him, she decides to bring his soul mate to his side. On the evening of Halloween, which is the one moment you can commune with fairies Dani, goes through a ritual which lands her 700 years in the past and being rescued by Malcolm, who is determined that he doesn't fail Dani. At fist he wants to deny their attraction and the strong connection that only gets stronger. However he has certain obligations but he can't deny the true love he feels for Dani, but will he be strong enough to keep her from danger and at his side forever?
My Thoughts
Over the past couple of years I have enjoyed reading from this author, my local library has only a few of her books, so I haven't read much of her. But when I was browsing the shelves this past week, I saw that they had both of her newest books, and I just had to snatch them up. Melissa Mayhue has such a talent to bring out such beautifully written stories where the reader can't help but be swept away in the magical tales she writes. I fell in love with this from the beginning and it didn't take me very long to read it, and when that happens, you know its amazing!! Definitely easy to get into, and a quick read that is a bunch of fun and adventure.
Warrior's Redemption starts out with this reader seeing both worlds of Malcolm and Dani. We see Malcolm trying his best to protect those he is over as best he can. But with the death of his wife, he blames himself and bears a whole world of weight of guilt on his shoulders. With worrying over his sister's welfare, and knowing he will have to marry a woman he doesn't know for a alliance that will bring justice for his older brother's wrong doings, he feels like his hands are tied. Then we go to Dani's side of things, who has been faithful in her devotion to the fairies no matter how many people ridicule or criticize her. She is a cook and works long hours that puts a roof over her head, but she wants more for her life. What she doesn't expect is to be brought in the past 700 years and to a medieval dominant man who makes her blood stir with passion. I enjoyed seeing these two develop into a relationship. I have always adored time travel romances, and this one is by far one of my favorites. I loved seeing the conflicts and how true love does conquer all. In this story, this couple are known as soul mates, which is the strongest union, and I also enjoyed the sense of magic that was played out in the story. It wasn't overly strong where it was the focus of the story, it was more like cream on top of a dessert, only added more flavor and deliciousness.
Now lets talk about my favorite aspect of the story....the characters. Now I just adored all the characters in this story, there was so much depth to them (even the evil ones). Malcolm, is very alpha type but not too overly much either. He is from the late 1200's, so very medieval, but the honorable type. Pure yumminess, I just wanted to gobble him up. Where can I find my own fairy right? There was so much that I liked about him.A Warrior, has a tattoo( and a beautiful one at that), but has a few weaknesses that made him so real to me. I just wanted to kiss away all the sadness from him. Dani, hasn't exactly had the best luck in her life. Her aunt was her mother and raised her, but when she grows up she still believes in magic and fairies, and I found Dani to be a bit predictable at times, but I loved how she would fight for Malcolm. She doesn't ever back down from a fight, and risks her own life for him. I really admired her tenacity and devotion. She was a very likable character.
Overall I found the story to be heart wrenching, and yet a beautiful tale of true love that bring two people that can't be more opposite and from two entirely different worlds. A riveting story from beginning to end, that made it a MUST NOT PUT DOWN read. Mixed with great humor, adventure, magic, and endearing characters that were deeply moving to the point that you can't help but fall in love all over again. A captivating love story that will take you on a adventure of a lifetime. A Magnificent start to the most recent series from this stellar author. A WINNER!!
First Line Howls echoed through the forest of Wyddecol, so protracted and pain ridden they tortured Elesyria's eardrums.
Favorite Quote With his thumb, he gently stroked the fine dust from her cheek, his fingers resting at the bast at her jaw where her pulse beat against his skin like a drummer in the heat of battle. Before he knew it, he was on his knees, his mouth lightly covering hers. She made no move to pull away and he deepened the kiss, his tongue running across the contours of her lips, sampling the taste of her. She might have groaned, but he couldn't be sure; the rhythmic pounding of his own blood echoed in his ears, driving out all sound. Oh yes, at this very moment he could think of many things worse than spending his life with a woman like this. My Grade

My Thoughts
Highlanders Curse is the last in the series, and I thought that I might be a little lost at times, but for the most part it wasn't as bad as I thought it would. It was a enjoyable story, even though it didn't feel like much of a romance story the first half of it, but the second half was way better and well worth waiting for.I really am starting to just love this series, especially since I have a weakness for time travel, but I also enjoyed the excitement and danger aspect of the story as well. Even though Highlanders Curse was a delightful read, it was far from my favorite book since it didn't run as smoothly as I expected, especially since I just loved the first book in the series, but I hope the others books are alot better...
My Favorite Quote "We are fated to be together. Together from the beginning of time until the end of time," he whispered before losing himself in her kiss. The sensation of his kiss felt like the world dropped out from under them, and they fell, endlessly locked in each other's arms. Abby could imagine no better way to go forth into forever.

My Thoughts
Its been a while since I have read a book from this author and from this series, and now I just want to read all the books in the series again. I have read the earlier books, but none of the recent ones, and after reading One Magic Moment, I now want to read all the others. From the first page I was completely drawn into the story. I Loved Loved Loved these two characters, it was pretty humorous to watch these two fumble through this little romance and courting they have going on. In the beginning we see that they don't really care much for one another, but the more they are in each others companies, they start to form a powerful bond to each other, and I just had to sigh almost every chapter after that. I definitely loved the plot as well, in the beginning it seemed like it would be just a romance, but there definitely was a danger element that was added. One Magic Moment would have to be on the top of my life of time travel romances, right below Brenda Joyce's. Although this doesn't have much intimacy in the book, which is standard with this author. However I did love the romance level in this novel, not steamy by any means, but I fell in love with it all the same!!!

Wedding The Highlander is the third in this wonderful series, that I keep falling for over and over....Janet Chapman is a new favorite author. In a way her humor is similar to Sandra Hill, however there is still a serious tone to the story, and a tender romance in every story that will pull at the readers heart strings....After seeing Michel in the previous two books, I was excited to read his story. From the first book, my heart went out to this characters, and Chapman definitely fulfilled every wish for him....Wedding The Highlander was definitely a sparkling gem...I felt enchanted by the romance that builds between Libby and Michael, and his son Robbie will just make you smile, I think I just loved everything about this book, and there was still a good plot that will keep you flipping those pages as fast as you can read them....Definitely A 5 for me!!!! MY REVIEW Summary:
Sadie Quill, is patroling the land in Maine, for a park to be built, but she stumbles across a naked and virile highlander, Morgan MacKeage. After the encounter she is scared to death, and can't stop thinking about him, thinking him even though sexy as sin, is crazy and maybe not at all right in his head....Morgan when finding that Sadie is the one that will be wanting to put this beautiful forest and all its secret as part of a park, he wants to scare her off the land so she will never return but he never planned on her stubborness, or the intense desire he feels for her when he touches her, and wants to claim her as his own. The Hero (Morgan MacKeage)
Morgan, with other members of his clan, was thrown from hundreds of years ago to the present, modern day. Morgan, will do everything he can to protect his land, even from gorgeous women who only get into trouble, no matter their good intentions. But Sadie matches a wild passion that he finds in himself and knows that she is the woman for him and will do all he can to keep her at his side and show her that his love is unconditional...
The Heroine (Sadie Quill) Sadie, has always felt guilt since the fire eight years previous, where her sister dies, and later from the effects of the fire her father. Sadie herself suffered burns on parts of her body, and feels like no man could consider her beautiful or sexy until she meets Morgan, who treats her scars as a part of her. Sadie feels overwhelmed by the feelings Morgan brings out in her, even knowing that building this park is what her father would have wanted, she knows that Morgan could be the key to truly accepting herself and being able to fully love someone with her full heart.
My Thoughts
Loving The Highlander is the second in the Highlander series, and I have just loved this series so far. I really Enjoyed this one as well, I think I enjoyed the first one a bit more, but this one was just as exciting and fun and full of witty repatore that could make you laugh over and over. I also loved the idea of the heroine, being not with perfect skin or a perfect body, that there were still some conflict between Sadie and Morgan, but it showed that love can truly overcome anything, and we see the hurdles they past together, and it was a truly magical read. I loved seeing the adventure, passion, fast paced action and the fun romance in Loving The Highlander! A Entertaining read! My Grade On This Book

My Thoughts
I have never read this author, but I was in the mood for some good highlander romance, and I decided that after hearing some great things from this author, I knew that I needed to try her out, and I definitely wasn't disappointed. I just got this book a few hours ago, and just finished, I was that drawn into Charming The Highlander. I think I loved everything about this book. I just love it when you have time travel books when dealing with sexy highlanders from the past....so yummy with the accent, attitude and their fiery passion for a woman they love. There were definitely many witty moments throughout the story that would make you bow over and laugh your heart out. The writing was charming and tended to draw the reader in from the first to the very last page of the book. I felt like I was actually there in the story...the scenes were so vivid in detail....definitely a keeper for me!!

He is every woman's fantasy, his face and form recognized on the farthest planet, his you-can-touch-my-body-but-never-my-heart attitude a challenge no female can resist. So why does he feel burned out, used up, and in desperate need of a long vacation to a simpler time?
SHE HAS A PERFECT NIGHT OF PLEASURE ON HER MIND.
Ally O'Neill--American tourist, divorcee, and author of a best-selling series on how to be the perfect wife--is that rarity Brian has never before encountered: a woman who wants no part of him. Before he knows it, her hands-off approach has him eager to break his contract's off-season no sex clause. In a world where no one has even heard of the Testosterone Titans, Brian is about to discover that scoring is a lot less fun than falling in love.
MY REVIEW
Summary:
Ally O Neill, has recently gone through a divorce after trying to be a perfect wife for five years. Now with her great aunt Katy, she is a tourist and a famous author on a best selling series. Now Ally wants no man, no matter how irresistable he may be and that includes Brian Byrne. Brian Byrne is from the future, and is a champion of a sex spectator sport, he has come to the past for a vacation and has agreed to have no sex during the duration however when he meets the one woman that resists his charms, he is immediately drawn to her. So even though he has agreed to a no sex clause in his contract, he intends to show Ally what true passion is like, but what he never expected was to fall in love in this game of his....
The Hero (Brian Byrne)
Brian, ever since he was sixteen years old, has been involved in sex games, and is way good at it too. He has trained hard to be where he has, and has been able to help his kids (those on the streets) get a education and careers, so they can have a better life than he did. When Brian was little his mother promised that she would return and she never did, so ever since than he made a vow to honor each promise he made, no matter the circumstances. He is in a contract for five more years of sex games, but once he meets Ally his loyalty is divided and he must choose between honor and love
The Heroine (Ally O Neill)
Ally, did everything she could to make her marriage work, she was the perfect wife for five years, but then he left her for another woman, and knew her life was over. Now she has worked hard, and is in Scotland being a tourist, needed a vacation and to relax...but then she comes across Brian, who claims to be from the future, and a literal sex god, but she starts to see something deeper in this man. My Thoughts
Night Games is written by Nina Bangs, and I had such a fun time reading this. It was such a fun and witty romance, that I never stopped laughing. Night Games is a bit different than some of the other books that I have read from her, definitely has a humorous ring to romance if there ever was one. Night Games is a very enthralling and sensual read, one that will heat up the room like matchsticks. There was one problem that I had with this book, was that Ally was so gullible at times, she just accepted that Brian was from the future, so easily, that it didn't seem real especially at the beginning of the story, however as the story progressed, it started to become more realistic, and the story became captivating and riveting, that I started to fall in love with it. So overall a humorous and enjoyable read!!!

Dark Victory is the fourth installment in the Masters of Time series. I have now read all of the books in this series, and I have just loved the aspects of these stories. Brenda Joyce has written a passionate and a unforgettable series with strong characters that are entertaining. I fell in love with both characters but especially Tabitha, who even though she has fallen in love before, has also been hurt and has a hard time with trust and finding a gentle man, and we see how much she starts to change to her real self who is passionate and strong but is still gentle and elegant when she needs to be as well. Brenda Joyce takes the reader on a thrilling and mind blowing adventure filled with intrigue, magic, and romance!!! I just loved Dark Victory and one of my favorites of this author!!! A FANTASTIC READ!!!

My Thoughts
Dark Lover is the most recently released book in the Masters of Time series, and the last one in the Rose Trilogy. However it wasn't until halfway through the story that I started enjoying it. Out of all the books of the series that I have read, its my least favorite. I think Ian is my least character, the beginning of the story bordered on erotica, however once it got a little more than halfway through it got more into the romance element that I enjoy reading. But there were some intense elements and a powerful story that is steeped in action and romance..

My Thoughts
The Highlanders Touch is the third installment in the Highland series by Karen Marie Moning. I haven't read the fever series yet, but her highland series I have just fallen for completely. I have enjoyed each of her books in the series so far, especially since I love anything romances to do with the Scottish Highlands. One of the things I didn't expect when I first started reading this one, was how emotional this book would become for the reader, from beginning to end the plot was filled with excitement, adventure and lots of romance. The relationship between the two especially at first is a bit rocky, but there is a connection between the two and we see the first seeds of their love for each other. I loved both of these characters, they were full of depth and likeable. There was also a level of emotion that is portrayed throughout the book, that will touch any reader deeply. I absolutely adored reading this, and was such a magical read!!! My Favorite Quote Live with me forever. Cease my endless solitude. I will cherish you. I will show you world you only dreamed of. I will walk beside you, hand in hand, until the end of days.
