1- Take the graphic (left) to use on your post. Remember to give credit to the original host (TBQ).

2- Choose your own book cover that you've fallen in "lust" with in the past week. It can be new, old, a reprint, or even a book that is not yet out-- it's all up to you! If you find a cover that catches your eye, then showcase it on your blog, and let others see the pretty covers out there.
3- Copy the direct link to your own L4C post into the comment section on my post (when in doubt, use this link and then scroll down to find the post), and allow others to come and see what you picked! (OPTIONAL):
4- Besides posting the picture of the book cover you chose, it's nice to provide the book summary, title, author, or a website link for the book. It's not required, but it can help you readers' to add more books to their own list! A brief "Why I choose this cover" is also appreciated, but not required

On My Wishlist (13)

On My Wishlist is a fun weekly event hosted by Book Chick City and runs every Saturday. It's where I list all the books I desperately want but haven't actually bought yet. They can be old, new or forthcoming.

Baker's historical romance is the story of a sheltered beauty who discovers true love in the arms of an Indian brave. Although accustomed to the ways of the white man, Michael Wolf returns to his tribe to share with the Cheyenne the glory and heartache of the last golden days before Little Big Horn, and to find the beautiful woman who haunts his dreams.

An eye for an eye. An honor for an honor." Those were the words Rolf O'Dalaigh flung at his beautiful captive. Forcibly abducted from her father's keep, Sybelle was horrified to learn that she was a helpless pawn in a ruthless game of revenge: Rolf's virginal ward had been ruined, and now Sybelle was to pay the price . . . with her own innocence.

Locked in a fierce battle of wills with the proud Irish lord, Sybelle never guessed that Rolf's fiery kisses would spark a flame of desire in her breast, or that she would find searing ecstasy in her . . . Wolf's Embrace!

He was six feet, four inches of pure, unadulterated male. He wore nothing but a leather tunic, spoke in an ancient tongue, and he was standing in Professor Meredith Foster's living room. The medieval historian told herself he was part of a practical joke, but with his wide gold belt, callused hands, and the rabbit roasting in her fireplace, the brawny stranger seemed so...authentic. Suddenly Meredith was mesmerized by his bronzed, muscular form, and her body surrendered to the fantasy that Geirolf Ericsson really was a Viking from a thousand years ago, sent only to pleasure her. But as she tried to teach him to eat spaghetti and use a computer, she realized he knew an awful lot about the tenth century -- and so little about the twentieth. And as he helped her fulfill her grandfather's dream of re-creating a Viking ship, he awakened her to dreams of her own. Until she wondered if the hand of fate had thrust her into the loving arms of ....

Born and raised in the far-off East on the Planet Windarra, Sariana Dayne's business expertise is desperately needed by the West sector's flamboyant Avylyn clan, but even her cool logic can't solve a serious business theft. Desperate, she devises a scheme to employ a member of the warrior Shield clan in the recovery operation. Unfortunately for Sariana's peace of mind, her practical plan turns shaky when she gazes into the fierce eyes of the Shield mercenary Gryph Chassyn, and realizes that she may have bitten off more than she can chew. Gryph takes one look at Sariana and decides that she's one of the few women in the world who could become his Shield mate. Unfamiliar with the West sector's Shield society, Sariana can't even guess what mating with Gryph will do to her life--she only knows he stirs a depth of passion in her that she can't deny. Before she grasps the consequences, Sariana is allied with the powerful mercenary and they set off on a dangerous journey to recover the stolen prism cutter. Along the way, they discover unexpected possibilities in their bonding, even as their lives are threatened with deadly peril. And if they can only survive the obstacles, Gryph and Sariana just may change the future of Shield society forever.
The multitalented Krentz flexes her fantasy muscles in this absorbing story of love on a planet far, far away. The heroine is sharp-tongued and quick-witted and she's paired with a hero who is equally intelligent and physically powerful. As expected from Krentz, the fast-paced story is expertly plotted with superb sexual tension in all the right places. Small wonder that Krentz is on the shortlist of the most successful romance authors of the decade; two chapters into this novel and you'll know exactly why she's so popular.

Lady Rhiannon had defended her land against what she had thought was a Viking invasion. But the handsome barbarian, who had led his ships to her coast and vanquished her in battle, was the charismatic Eric of Ireland-a man invited by Rhiannon's uncle, King Alfred himself, to help England fight the hated Vikings. Rhiannon had fought the person she believed was her enemy-and lost. She would have to pay the price of her mistake-marriage to the man she hated above all else: Eric...

MY REVIEW

Summary:
Maria Zamora has always felt a attraction to Shadow, the Navajo chief. However her father has forbidden her from ever speaking him or seeing him. But when she overhears a angry argument between her father and Shadow, she is caught and end up meeting him, and knows that she will never be the same again. But then she ends up becoming his prisoner, for revenge against her father. But after she spends some time with Shadow, she finds out some truths about her father, and comes to the realization that Shadow is in the right, after her father steals Shadow's people and treats them as slaves. Now Maria is Shadow's love slave, and finds such sweet passion in his arms, and a love so great that she would sacrifice anything to be with Shadow and share his life with him. But will their love be enough to heal all past betrayals and wounds.

The Hero:
Shadow, chief of the Navajo, is enraged at his missing people and become slaves to Esteban Zamora. But when more of his people have been taken, he decides to free them from Zamora's clutches, and take his daughter as his captive, as his love slave since he has vowed never to marry another. So after he takes her captive, he starts to realize how much different she is from her parents, and especially her father. That she has a caring heart especially for the Navajo people. His heart opens to her, and he finds that he could trust her more than any other woman. But will the love he has found be enough for him and his people.

The Heroine
Maria Zamora, has always obeyed her father in all things, but ever since she was a young girl, she has felt drawn toward Shadow. Now she is a adult woman, and the attraction between them sparks, and she finds a ecstasy in his arms. But as she finds herself falling in love with him, she wonders if she will ever be able to marry him, or find a peace between Maria and her parents whom she loves dearly despite what her father has done. However her commitment and love is for Shadow, and hopes that he will return that trust as well...before its too late.

My Thoughts:
Savage Dream is part of Cassie Edwards Savage Series. Savage Dream is one of my favorite book that I have yet to read from this astounding author. I don't get to read Native American books very often, however when I do I always fall in love with these types of stories. I find that they are tender love stories filled with adventure and passion that could satisfy any romantic heart. I also fell in love with both of these wonderfully portrayed characters. Maria is a young woman that longs for a love that she knows she will find in Shadow's arms, but not knowing that the adventure she will find at his side will be alot more than she would ever imagine. Shadow at first is bent on revenge and justice, however once he takes Maria as his captive, he starts to change, where she becomes the priority in his life. I found the plot to this story to be full of excitement, adventure, passion, and a love so tender it will be a tear to your eye until the very end. So if your looking for a great love story that will keep you on edge and filled with surprises then this is the one for you, Cassie Edwards has definitely written another powerfully written love story.

But then he comes back and takes her back to Norway as his slave, instead of his wife as he had once planned, however things never seem to go as planned. And Magnus despite her betrayal of him, can't deny the desire that she rises within him, more so than any other woman ever has. Now she ends up his slave and taken to his home in Norway. But things are about to get even more dicey but Zarabeth is a strong willed heroine and up for any challenge.

My Thoughts
I truly enjoyed Season of the Sun, although I never know when I read Coulter's book if I am going to be able to really enjoy them and immerse myself into the stories, but with this one, I had it read it just a few hours. Crazy I know, but when I like a book, I truly immerse myself and before I know it, its at "The End" part and I look at the time, and its just crazy how fast I can read once I get into a story. I just love Viking romances and this is at the top of my list. Although I thought that throughout the story that there was some things missing from the book. I don't want to spoil the book too much so I wont however share any details, but I thought that there seemed to be a few things in the relationship between these two that I had issues with. However overall it was a great romance read, well written, with vivid characters and a intriguing plot, so defnitely if you like Viking Historical Romances you definitely don't want to miss out on this one or this series!!

My Grade On This Book
4 Blossoms
