My Review:
When a brutal attack on Wulf the Ruthless's land, killing his wife and unborn child, vowing vengence on the Danes. However when his brother brings a woman Reyna the Dane, he is mystified by her beauty, but also recognizes her as a woman during a raid he found raped and sold her, but Reyna has never forgotten that horrific day where every good in her life was taken away. After being brutally raped and then sold to a sultan, but then given to Wulf as his slave, she never has forgotten what he did to her. Assuming that Wulf the Ruthless was the one that raped her, she knows she can never give in to the delicious sensations she feels from his kisses and his heated gaze. Both of these souls have been hurt but through each other they can find the healing balm for their hearts. But will their hatred make them blind to a beautiful love that is right beneath their noses, or will they choose to fully embrace it and find the most valued love that will last forever?

Viking Warrior is another win for Connie Mason in my mind. This was such a exquisite romance, that I could never put this one down! I have enjoyed reading from this author, but since this is a newly book acquired from the library, I knew I had to read it, especially since I love any story involving Vikings!!! We have Reyna, who on one brutal day was raped and sold, never to hear from her family that she loved dearly, but still have a hope that they are still alive. When she see's Wulf the man she thinks rapes and sells her, she has such a bitter hatred for him. But when she realizes the truth and that he never did, she starts to fall under his seductive kisses and give in to the desire that pulls at her. Wulf, after losing his wife and unborn child to the Danes, has a difficult time with a Dane slave in his household. But her beauty and healing talents cause him to waver that all Danes are bad. As passions escalate between Wulf and Reyna, they both without realizing it start to heal their battle wounds and embrace the more current feelings they share for each other, feelings that can only strengthen them and not burden them. This was a remarkable story taken back through time to the age of the Vikings, and will whirl you away into adventure, romance, and remarkable characters that will blow you away with delight!

Well I just have loved reading this book and this author is so amazing with her historicals!!! To me this cover portrays the kind of deep passion and intimacy that the reader feels as reading this book!!

I have to be honest, for the most part it depends on the book. In most cases I do, I think the cover is very important in getting me to read the book. Covers are vital I think to getting readers to read a certain book. So that is why I believe that its so important that the cover portrays the story as much as possible, without giving anything away. Something that is enticing and draws that reader in!!! So for the most part, I do, I don't know if that is bad or anything, but Hell Yes I do!!!

My Review:
Jack Dodger, a wealthy man who owns a prestigious gentleman's club. Having lived on the streets when he was younger, he craves wealth. So when he hears that the Duke of Lovingdon has died, but his will leaves him all his entailed wealth, if he agrees to be guardian to his son, he agrees but meets resistance with the mother, Olivia. Olivia is furious, after hearing the will and that she has no power, even as the mother of her son, to repute the offer to Jack Dodger. Jack is only doing this for the power and wealth, but despite tension between him and Olivia escalate, he starts to care for this young boy he is responsible for. And he starts to realize that there are a lot more important things besides wealth, but when desire and passion are cultivated between these two, they come to realize that love is the most dangerous weapon of all when it comes to defeating the shield around one's heart.

This is the second in the series, and I just fell in love with Jack Dodgers story. Jack grew up on the streets being a pickpocket and now he is more than ever determined to make as much money as he possibly can. So when he hears that he is supposed to be the guardian to a young impressionable boy. But his mother Olivia matches his strong will, and tension flows between them both. But as time continues there is a desire that rises and unable for either of them to resist. I truly fell in love with this story and the characters as well. Not only Olivia and Jack but the little boy, Henry. From the beginning Jack starts to learn what it means to have a family, and the bond between Jack and Henry become undeniably strong. At first, Jack's goal is to get Olivia married off to someone so he can just enjoy the rewards and not have to bear the responsibilities, but time passes and his relationship with Olivia strengthens to the point where he doesn't know if he can live without her in his life. This is such a heartwarming story, where love can melt the ice of any hardened heart and teach the true value of the healing power of love. This is probably one of my favorite series written by Lorraine Heath, for the plot flows and the characters are engaging, and the passion and love these two feel will brighten up any stormy day. Such a wonderful read!!!
