MY REVIEW
Summary:
Claire, has been in love with Edward, the Duke of Clybourne, since she was sixteen years old, but then he broke her heart, and even though they have long been betrothed, she has no desire to marry him now. Claire refuses to enter into a loveless marriage, because she has seen what a one sided loveless marriage is like, and has no desire to go through that. Edward, knows that it is his duty to wed, and knows that with her pedigree and manner, she would be an acceptable wife, but little did he know that he would have to fight to win her hand and affections, and that he could awaken her deep passions and desires with his kiss. Despite her resistance of him, he is ever the more determined to claim her as his wife...no matter what it takes to win his bride....
The Hero (Edward Byron)
Edward, accepts that his marriage to Claire, will be similar to other society marriage, and the most he will feel for her is devotion and affection. After seeing his two brothers in love and happy in their marriage, he doesn't know if he could ever open up to someone as they have. Edward accepts his responsibilites and duties as being Duke, and as he was required to marry because of his title, he knows that Claire is the perfect choice to be his bride. However he never thought that he would find such pleasure in her bed, or that his heart would start to open to love...
The Heroine (Claire Marsden)
Claire, once fell in love with Edward when she was sixteen, but then she spied him with his mistress, and after his reference to her at the time, she was heartbroken. Now years later, he has come to marry her, and Claire is far from happy that he has come now for her, and plans on fighting this battle of wills and of the heart...
My Thoughts
At The Dukes Pleasure is the third in this series by Tracy Anne Warren. I just recently started reading books from this author, and just adore them. At The Duke's Pleasure was such a witty and fun love story, yet the story line still had a serious tone to it as well, but I just loved how the author woven the characters and the story all together, such brilliance in her writing, I was so entranced from the very beginning and I could hardly put this book down. The characters were so vivid throughout the story, both have vulnerabilities that I felt I could relate to. A WONDERFUL STORY!!!
My Favorite Quote
"No, I told you before, you're the only woman that I want." His lips brushed across her forehead, then over her cheek with a gentle touch that was almost reverent. " The only woman I'll ever want"

Synopsis
Violet Redmond's family and fortune might be formidable and her beauty and wit matchless—but her infamous flare for mischief keeps all but the most lionhearted suitors at bay. Only Violet knows what will assuage her restlessness: a man who doesn't bore her to tears, and a clue to the fate of her missing brother. She never dreamed she'd find both with a man whose own pedigree is far from impeccable.
"Savage" is what the women of the ton whisper about the newly styled Earl of Ardmay—albeit with shivers of pleasure. Born an English bastard, raised on the high seas, he's on a mission to capture a notorious pirate for vengeance. But while Violet's belief in her brother's innocence maddens him, her courage awes him . . . and her sensuality finally undoes him. Now the man who once lost everything and the girl who has everything to lose are bound by a passion that could either end in betrayal . . . or become everything they ever dreamed.

MY REVIEW
Summary:

Unwilling to believe that her brother would harm innocent people, so goes in search for him, however the Captain of the ship that she is on is hunting this notorious pirate for vengeance since once of his friends was killed by him. The Earl of Ardmay, is furious that this woman could be so courageous and formidable at times, and feisty as hell. The Heroine (Violet Redmond)
Violet, loves her family dearly, but has never felt a true part of them. She years for excitement and adventure, and when she hears a rumor about a notorious pirate, she has a feeling that pirate is her older brother, who left England years ago and hasn’t been heard from since. Violet, on a whim, decides to sneak aboard a ship, convinces the captain, through her own kind of smarts, that she must at least go his direction, since she knows he is after her brother, which she is wanting to prove his innocence. Violet, has never had a taste of passion, but from the first moment she encounters Lavay, she knows that it could be her undoing, and she might have to choose between the love of her family and the love of her heart, body and soul.
My Thoughts
I Kissed An Earl is the fourth installment in the Pennyroyal Greens series by Julie Anne Long. I have recently this past year discovered this author, and I have just loved each of her books that she has written (even though its only been a few so far) I just read this so fast that my head spin, I was so caught up in the story and the entertaining characters that had me laughing through most of it. There was such a witty side to the story, even though the plot there wasn’t much except toward the end, it was their interaction with each other that made it far from dull, and a fun and warm love story!!! Although far from my favorite read, it did make me smile, laugh, and feel contentment at the end!!!
My Favorite Quote
I am captain of The Fortuna I have a great responsibility to my men and now to the bloody King of England. My fortunes are dwindling. My reputation and my entire future rest upon my success in capturing this pirate for bounty. And yet..I cannot sleep at night for wanting you,”

Summary:
Lachlan, because of his mothers selfish needs left both him and his clan financially in need, and knows that he must find a rich heiress and marry her for the good of his people. Lachlan still wants the Duchess of Wrothston, who is happily married but Lachlan is determined to win her affections, but during a house party of the Duke and his wife, he meets Kimberly Richards. Kimberly has come to find a husband, as is her fathers wish, however the moment she sees Lachlan she is captivated, but then tempers fly between the two of them. After sharing a passionate kiss with Kimberly, he wants her more than he realized and is determined to win her affections no matter how long it takes...
The Hero (Lachlan Macgregor)
Lachlan, Laird of Clan MacGregor, even though he steals, he steals to take care of his clan, but of late it hasn't been enough, and knows that drastic measures must be taken to ensure the welfare of the people under his care. After his father died, his mother took his inheritance and fled never to be seen or heard from again. Lachlan bears much anger and vows retribution if he is to ever find her one day. Now he is forced to find a wife, one that has money, however he never expected that Kimberly would be the one woman to be his downfall....
The Heroine (Kimberly Richards)
Kimberly dearly loved her mother but then she died, and her father never cared for her, only saw her as a burden to get rid of. So she goes to Sherring Cross, intending to finding a worthy suitor, one she can love and one that will love her. In the beginning she doesn't believe that Lachlan isn't that 'Suitor' but after sharing a sensual embrace with the man, she begins to have her doubts, needing to know he loves her before surrendering to him...
My Thoughts
Love Me Forever is the second in the Sherring Cross Series. I haven't read the first one, but after reading Love Me Forever I definitely want to read the first one now. At the beginning it started a bit slow, but it started to pick up fast, and I found the interaction between Kimberly and Lachlan stimulating to say the least. There is definitely fireworks that spark between these two, at first it appears that they despise each other. After they share a embrace, sparks change between them and turns into something much stronger than either of them thought they would ever find, a true love that will last a lifetime....Definitely a beautiful written romance, filled with heat, strong characters and a love story that is thoroughly entertaining.
My Favorite Quote
It was the kind of kiss she should have learned nothing about until she was safely married. It was the kind of kiss designed to provoke passions, and hers were ignited quickly.

Julian Kane is back in town.
Once, as a girl of seventeen, beautiful, headstrong Portia Cabot saved the cursed life of the dashing vampire Julian Kane—who marked her forever, then left to go in search of his soul. He returns five years later to find the enchanting young girl he left behind grown into a bewitching woman with a woman's heart . . . and a woman's desires.
Portia quickly discovers that Julian's seductive and forbidden kiss can still make her crave the night . . . and his touch. But the Julian who has returned to London is not the vampire she remembers. His fruitless pursuit of his stolen mortality has reduced him to drunken debauchery. And a recent spate of murders makes Portia fear that the man she has always adored may truly be a monster.
Julian knows he must drive Portia away—but his passion and hunger for her grow more irresistible every time they touch. For years he has fought the temptation to embrace his dark gifts, never realizing that Portia's love may give him the most dangerous gift of all . . . a reason to live.

Summary:
Portia Cabot, once saved the life of Julian Kane, a vampire and one who has been searching for his soul, so that he can be mortal once more. Its been years since he has seen his family and Portia sister-in-law to his brother. So when he sees her coming for him in a gambling hell, all the emotion he once felt for her comes riding back like a ocean current and he knows he must protect her, especially against those that would just as soon kill her, a ex lover and a woman who has possession of his soul, a very ancient vampiress. Portia knows that despite the fact that they haven't heard from Julian in years, there is still much good in him, and her intent is to save him once more, with all the love she has always held for him.....
The Hero (Julian Kane)
Julian, turned into a vampire, has been searching and trying to kill the one who has it, and only when he destroys that vampire will he be able to have his soul back and be mortal once more. Julian starts to realize that Portia has always held his love and his heart for all time....
The Heroine (Portia Cabot)
Portia, as a young girl always believed in the magical creatures and creatures of the night, and couldn't help but fall in love with Julian whom she adored years ago. Now seeing him once more, Julian is much different that whom she remembers, and is willing to do anything she can to save him or destroy him if need be, if he truly has turned to the darker side of his nature as rumors claim. But Portia sees inside of Julian, something good and pure and is willing to risk everything to believe in him and save him...
My Thoughts
The Vampire Who Loved Me is the second in the Cabot series, and this is probably one of my favorite series by Teresa Medieros. This is a author that I have come to adore over the years of reading her books, and I fall in love with each and every one of her stories, and this is a re read and its been quite a while since I had read it, and I love historicals mixed with the paranormal (which can be hard to find at times) The Vampire Who Loved Me is a emotional and tender love story that will pull at your heartstrings with every page. Its such a story that even though filled with twists and turns, definitely a memorable story and a pure delight!!!

Jenna, is shocked when she realizes what Al really is, and the kind of life her sister has chosen, to help save the world, and despite the dangers to herself, she knows that she will make the same decision to stay with the man that she loves....no matter the cost.
The Hero (Al Endeka)
Al is short for Allosaurus, which is the dinosaur that Al truly is inside. Al is used to being a part of a pack, of hunting, mating, and resting, never having to worry about much of anything, now millions of years later, the modern world is much different than the one he once knew. He isn't used to all the feelings he is feeling especially when he has to be near Jenna who awakens his feelings of lust and desire.
The Heroine (Jenna Maloy)
Jenna grew up in a family never feeling like she was enough. Jenna got a degree in English Lit and then becomes a journalist. After hearing that her sister Kelly suddenly up and marries a man she didn't know very long, and being invited by Ty's boss, she decides to come to see Kelly and meet her husband. However she is soon brought into a world that is shocking and seems surreal and with her strong physical attraction to Al, she starts to realize that she is falling for him despite the danger that surrounds them.
My Thoughts
Eternal Craving is the second installment in the Gods of Night series by Nina Bangs. Having already read the first and most recent books in the series, I have always wanted to read this one, so I couldn't find it in paperback so I decided to get it in E Book form. I have just loved the idea of this series, shape shifters who turn into dinosaurs, definitely a bit different than your usual shape shifting genre. Eternal Craving is a sensational read, with mystery, danger, passion, characters that are captivating and a plot that will draw you in until you addicted to this world that Bangs has created.....A Stunning Read!!!!
My Favorite Quote
And Jenna was looking at a master. A woman could crawl on her hands and knees to a man with that smile. It was a soul searching, sensual lifting of his lips, all savage beauty and frightening secrets.

Synopsis
Lies. He's been promised a new life as the hunter he once was. But Al soon learns that all the rules have changed. Now he must control his most basic urges--the need to kill, to feed, to mate. And the woman he wants looks at him with both heat and fear in her eyes. Jenna Maloy doesn't buy this story that he's come to Philadelphia to save souls. She seems to see through the layers of deception to the primitive heart of him. With her beside him, Al stalks the dark forces that crouch in the city's night shadows. But the real battle rages in his heart. Love is a formidable opponent. How can he ask her to stay with him after she's seen the savagery of his beast? He only knows that if she turns from him he'll be cursed with an eternal craving.

MY REVIEW
Summary:
Jenna Maloy comes to visit her sister, worried and concerned for her, so when she comes to Philadelphia, she never realized how much her life would change. Al is having a hard time learning to control his urges and instincts, having only been put into a human body only a few months ago, the hunter in him hard to keep in line at times. So when he meets Jenna, his urge to mate becomes only stronger whenever he is near her.

On My Wishlist (20)
On My Wishlist is a fun weekly event hosted by Book Chick City and runs every Saturday. It's where I list all the books I desperately want but haven't actually bought yet. They can be old, new or forthcoming.
Mary Jo Putney's riveting Lost Lords series unleashes a high stakes royal plot—which may prove easier for Damian Mackenzie to handle than his own unruly desire...
He's a bastard and a gambler and society's favorite reprobate. But to Lady Kiri Lawford he's a hero—braver than the smugglers he rescues her from, more honorable than any lord she's ever met, and far more attractive than any man has a right to be. How can she not fall in love. . .?
But Damian Mackenzie has secrets that leave no room in his life for courting high-born young ladies—especially not the sister of one of his oldest friends. Yet when Kiri's quick thinking reveals a deadly threat to England's crown, Damian learns that she is nowhere near as prim and respectable as he first assumed...and the lady is far more alluring than any man can resist...

The tougher they are, the harder they fall…
Professional mercenary Dare Macintosh lives by one hard and fast rule: business should never be personal. If a cause appeals to him and the price is right, he'll take the mission he's offered. But then the lovely Molly Alexander asks him to help her track down the men who'd had her kidnapped—and for the first time, Dare's tempted to combine work with pleasure.
Fiercely independent, Molly vows to trust no one until she's uncovered the truth. Could the enemy be her powerful, estranged father? The ex-fiancé who still holds a grudge? Or the not-so-shy fan of her bestselling novels? As the danger heats up around them, the only anchor Molly has is Dare himself. But what she feels for him just might be the most frightening thing of all…

Izzy Zanella wasn’t looking for another reason to butt heads with his Navy SEAL teammate, and nemesis, Danny Gillman. But then he met Danny’s beautiful younger sister, Eden. When she needed it most, he offered her a place to stay, a shoulder to cry on — and more. And when she got pregnant with another man’s child, he offered her marriage. But Eden’s devastating miscarriage shattered their life together — and made the intense bad blood between Izzy and Danny even worse.
Now Eden’s back, and she’s on a mission to rescue her teen brother, Ben, from their abusive stepfather. Even if she and Izzy can prove that their broken marriage is still in one piece, winning legal custody of Ben is a long shot. But they’re not alone: Danny and his girlfriend, Jenn, offer to help, and he and Izzy agree to bury the past and fight for Ben’s future.
As they plan their strategy, Izzy and Eden grapple with the raw passion that still crackles between them — while Danny and Jenn confront new depths in their own rocky relationship. But events take a terrifying turn after Ben befriends a girl fleeing a child prostitution ring. When the young runaway seeks refuge with Eden and Izzy, her pursuers kidnap Ben — and a deadly standoff begins. Now they must all pull together like never before and strike back, swift and hard, to protect their unconventional little family and everything they hold most precious.

Synopsis (Goodreads)
Only Victoria knows that Saber Lawrence is a renegade prince plotting to seize control of his country. But when Saber kidnaps Victoria to ensure her silence and vanquish her reserve, he finds that the proper English governess is not so easily seduced, unless Saber's willing to surrender something of his own-his heart.

But when Saber kidnaps Victoria to ensure her silence and vanquish her reserve, he finds that the proper English governess is not so easily seduced, unless Saber's willing to surrender something of his own-his heart.
Summary:
When Victoria first meets Saber, she doesn't believe that he is a true prince planning on taking back his kingdom that was stolen away from his family. Victoria is now a governess and meets Saber again after three years of distance but her feelings for him haven't changed. Saber can't afford for his plans or his true identity to be revealed while he is planning the revolution so he takes Victoria prisoner in his castle and where some of his people are taking refuge. Victoria is the one woman that says 'no' to Saber and isn't afraid of standing up to his family or to him for that matter, and her beauty has always held him captive and is earnest in his desire for her, and even though he knows that love was beaten out of him, he wants Victoria in his life...forever.
The Hero (Saber Lawrence)
Saber, was taken away from his people and his family as a young boy and sent to live with his father, who tried to beat his pride out of him, but Saber knew that he was destined to take over the throne that was stolen from his family, no matter the cost, of course he never expected that Victoria would be the one woman that would steal his heart, when he thought he could never love....
The Heroine (Victoria )
Victoria, ever since her mother remarried and has eight or so step siblings, has never felt close to her family, only smothered by them and prefers distance, and has only known pain whenever near them. Victoria chooses to be a governess and loves it, but never thought it would lead her down a road to passion, danger, and intrigue but knew that she would never regret being with a man that has stolen her heart...
My Thoughts
Taken By The Prince by Christina Dodd is the ninth installment in the governess series. The moment I saw the cover and the blurb I couldn't resist reading it. It was the first unread book to be read on my Nook and I just loved every moment of it and couldn't stop reading, it kept me so enthralled from beginning to end. I found Victoria to be easy to relate with, tough but still has a gentle spirit, one who is full of courage and passion. Saber is utterly irresistable, rough exterior but needs love more than any other because he hasn't had much of it and has lost much in his young life. I was completely charmed with this love story that can just make you melt yet cheer for these two.....a well worth read, and one I plan on reading again for sure!!!! A Keeper!!!
My Favorite Quote
He watched her with the kind of hungry longing that was love and lust and the promise of joy all wrapped into one. So she gave him what he wanted. She cupped his face with her hand, leaned down to him, and vowed "Yes, I will marry you, Raul Lawrence, King Saber of Moricadia, and we will love each other for the rest of our live and even beyond"
