My Review:
I was walking down the shelves in my library when I came upon Ana Leighs books, and since I haven't read anything of hers in some time, I decided to read Cole once more. I knew I loved her books, but it had been some time since I had. First off I would like to say that the cover is what convinced me to pick this one up and start reading it first. I mean anyone who looks at this cover, can hardly resist reading it, it draws you in, like a bee to honey.
The story begins in San Francisco, in 1898, where Cole MacKenzie is bored with life, and is looking for a change. He then gets a urgent message from his old gold hunting partner, Pop O'Shea. Who sends him a telegram telling him that he needs help immediately, so Cole heads for Lawford, New Mexico. Once he arrives, he is told that Pop has died from breaking his neck in a mine. Cole is then is notified by Pop's lawyer, that he needs to talk to him about something urgent the next day. So Cole heads to his office the next day, and comes face to face with Maggie O Shea, Pop's daughter. Cole remembers her as a young girl, when he went gold digging years ago. Maggie has been in love with Cole ever since she was fifteen years old. Cole has never noticed her except for being a child, and once she see's him again she vows to prove to him that she is a full grown woman. However once she hears that Cole is in charge of her assets, even who she can marry, she is horrified. Maggie wants to be able to control her own future and make her own decisions. So she goes about her way proving to Cole that she is a woman that can make her own choices. But as tempers ensue, so does their passions, and that start fighting both each other and their feelings that grow between them. Cole is starting to realize what a woman Maggie really is, and how much he aches for her touch. Maggie has mixed feelings about Cole, not knowing whether or not she can trust the wanderer with her heart...again.

I found Cole to be a sensual and enticing read, with humor and endearing characters,  Maggie is one of those heroines, that despite her loss from grieving her father, she also has to decide what she truly wants in life. Cole enters her life, and she becomes even more confused day by day. Maggie has been in love with Cole ever since she has known him, when she first met him was in Alaska where they went on adventure after adventure. Now her father is gone, and all she and Cole seems to do is end up doing is fighting or kissing. Maggie doesn't know if Cole will be wanting to stop his wandering lust or end up staying with her. She has just a hope that he will fall in love with her. Cole is also just as confused, he finds himself wanting to stay in New Mexico with Maggie, he never knew such contentment and passion in his life. At first he just aches for her body, but he ends up aching for so much more. He finds himself falling in love with her, and having no clue what to do. Its a pretty amusing yet sensual story, I found myself either getting a breath of fresh air from the heated room, or laughing my head off from the way this couple interacts. It is a very stimulating story in every way, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it again. There were a couple of minor thing that I had a hard time with while reading. Some of the arguments between Maggie and Cole seemed more like fights between six year old's instead of two adults. That was probably my biggest concern for this book, but other than that I definitely though it was a genuinely well written story.   Even though its been a couple of years since I have read Cole and Maggie's story, I definitely was satisfied at the end and am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Rose is well aware of Bram's scandalous reputation, so any reason for his sudden interest in her is suspect; more so since he's close friends with the man about to ruin her family! She has her own plan though, and Bram may be just what she requires--as long as she remembers that he is only looking out for himself. As long as she remembers that his kisses and caresses don't mean anything. As long as she can keep from wondering whether she can trust a scoundrel . . . with her heart.

My Review:
Its been a few months since I have read anything from Suzanne Enoch, and I always get spiraled into her stories and utterly drawn in. The same is true to Always A Scoundrel and I have fallen in love with Rose and Bram. Lord Bramwell is your typical English Rogue who drinks, and cavorts with endless amounts of women-most particularly married women. He is the last of his trio of friends that is still unattached and unmarried. Bram finds himself feeling ever most grateful for the circumstance, since he has no desire for marriage or settling down. Bram goes about as the 'Black Cat' sneaking into nobleman's homes and stealing artifacts or ill gotten jewels. One night he hears a argument, and it seems that Lady Rosamund is to be forced into a marriage with a man that is a monster, and will eventually destroy her spirit and even her. Knowing she could never survive such a marriage with Lord Cosgrove. Apparently Rose's younger brother John gambled too much and lost Ten Thousand Pounds to Lord Cosgrove and is insisting that instead of funds he will accept a marriage to his sister.  Rose is well aware of her duty to her family, even though they are willing to sell her to a blackguard, who will destroy her. Rose's family has never cared much for her, wanting to get her off their hands. Bram then becomes her friend and closest ally, in trying to convince her to fight back to Cosgrove, or run away to Scotland or the countryside and find a job as a governess or companion. However she insists that she can't leave her family out on the streets, so she is insisting on her duty and obligation to her family. However after sharing some passionate moments with Bram and realizing that such pleasure can be attained, she finds herself confused at what she really feels she needs to do. Cosgrove keeps up his lustful and disgusting advances, so much so that she knows her life with him will be 'Hell on Earth' in the literal sense. But Rose doesn't know if she can trust Bram with her heart!
This was truly a wondrous story, that fills the reader with love and a tender passion that develops between Rose and Bram. I also thoroughly loved the sub characters such as John (Rose's Brother) and  Brams two other friends and their wives. There were many moments in the book that made my laugh and smile and I felt so drawn to the characters that I felt I was there within the story, it came alive. Suzanne Enoch has such a talent, at least for me,  that draws the reader in and I couldn't put this down, I read into under a couple of hours, I was so captivated by the plot, the characters, and the connection and passion that is between the main characters. I also fell in love with Rose and Bram. Rose is a genuine heroine, who even though her family could care less about her (except for her brother) she is willing to sacrifice everything for her family. Rose is a caring and loving woman, who has a passionate nature that is released upon meeting Bram. Bram is your above average rogue, who finds himself enticed toward Rose, and is never bored with her. Instead he is thoroughly captivated by her spirit and is never bored whenever she is in the same room with him. I am sure those of you who have never read this book will enjoy it as much as I have.

My Review:
I have very few complaint about Christine Feehan, and I have fallen in love with the 'Ghostwalker Series', this is the second time that I have read Shadow Game and it was good to read this one again, and I plan on reading the rest of the series. This is the first book in the Ghostwalker Series, with Cpt. Ryland Miller and Lily Whitney has the main characters. Lily has grown up with mental abilities and is a anchor and is able to help others that have issues controlling their mental powers. Her father Peter Whitney brings her on to his latest project. Peter Whitney brought in a group of men that were in the Special Op's division of the military, the best of the best literally. Peter manipulated their minds so that they had mental abilities, and put them in cages in a secured location. The moment that Ryland and Lily meet, the ground shifts and there is a instant connection between them. Ryland is amazed, because the moment Lily enters the room, all the pain in his head disappears, and he is able to concentrate clearly and efficiently. Ryland and Lily have a strong connected to each other, and are able to communicate mentally, and Ryland is desperate to get his men out of their prison and be free once more. Ryland is losing one of his men slowly one at a time, and knows that he and his men must escape as soon as possible, or they will all be dead. After Peter Whitney is killed, Lily although grief stricken, finds some truths about her father and her childhood that haunts her. However, despite all that she is suffering, she manages to help Ryland and his team escape, and transfer them to her house. One of his men Jeff, is injured, and she slowly helps him recover. Together as Ryland and Lily work toward the mysterious of Lily's past, the passion and the connection them becomes stronger and deeper than ever.
This is a exciting adventure with twists and turns of intrigue and sizziling passions and intense suspense that keep you on the edge of your seat. Definitely a page turner, and the characters both main and minor characters, thoroughly charm its readers. I found myself being drawn to both Ryland and Lily, who are both strong characters and have powerful abilities, and are able to work together to discover the mysteries of Peter Whitney. Although Ryland hates the man, he fells what Lily feels and is able to help her in her grieving for her father whom she loved. Lily however discovers a powerful secret about her childhood. Lily and other young girls had natural mental abilities, which Peter Whitney forced them to use and hurt themselves in the process. It wasn't until Lily hurt her leg in a accident, that Peter Whitney finally faced himself and he found the other girl's homes and raised Lily as his own. This is a deep and emotional story that will tear your heart asunder but will endear you to the story and its captivating characters. This is definitely a read you don't want to miss out on!

My Review:
I was truly captivated by Eirik and Eadyth story, it drew me into the plot and the characters felt so real for me, that I could never put it down. Every read that I have read of Sandra Hill I fall in love with her just over and over again. I just started reading her books, and I am definitely purely satisfied with her books and the enthralling viking stories that she writes.
Eadyth fell in love and desired marriage with someone when she was young, and foolishly in love with a man names Steven. Steven tricked her just to get her into his bed then abandoned her. Eadyth finds herself giving birth and raising a son, John whom she would do almost anything for. Steven has been threatening to take John away from Eadyth so she comes up with a plan to make sure he isn't taken from her. She covers her hair with a ugly gray wimple, and dresses in clothes that are old and torn and truly downright ugly. She covers her face in gray soot, hoping to seem like a lady of forty years instead of in her early twenties so that Eirik doesn't pursue her with lustful advances. She comes to him with a proposal of marriage, where he would get her fortune, and it would be more of a business agreement than a true marriage. Eirik at first says 'no'  but there is something about Eadyth that captivates him so he agree's with a few terms of his. As time goes one, his brother and many others in the keep know what is beneath her facade but it takes much longer before Eirik figures out her deception. Eirik has always been untrustful of women since he had a bad experience previously, and never knows if he can truly trust Eadyth.
Sandra Hill draws in the reader with The Tarnished Lady and bewitches the reader into thinking what is going to happen next and having a hard time putting it down. You see a young independent woman, who is stubborn, and usually takes matters into her own hands. Eirik is resistant to to her independent ways, but finds himself falling in love with her despite all that happens. Eirik has never known such happiness has existed until he marries Eadyth and has a family with her, and realizes how much that means to him. The Tarnished Lady has a great plot with a fiery passion that builds between Eirik and Eadyth, there is a mystery that is afoot with intrigue from Eirik most hated enemy, and a tender love that sweetens the story. I have no complaints with this, I truly was endeared by The Tarnished Lady and am looking forward to reading more of her.

My Review:

As this is a time travel story, it starts out with two seperate story lines, one with Thorfinn Haraldsson in the eleventh century, and the other with Lydia Denton in the present day. Thorfinn once married a woman and had a young son, she leaves him along with his son. Even though he suspects that they have been killed in a storm on the sea, he continues searching for his son Miklof. He ends up in Baghdad fighting and killing as fast as he can, surrounded by a group of men. Then suddenly he is drawn by some force into another time, in the middle of a SEAL operation, one of the SEALs happens to be his cousin, who takes him on a plane and to the states. There he is learning how to treat others, especially women where he is about hopeless (a viking in the twenty first century is so hilarious, I was laughing the whole way through this section of the book) Finn is eager to be a fighting man once again, so the SEAL team that discovers him starts training him to be read for prep for being a SEAL.
Lydia Denton, lost her husband Dave who was a Navy SEAL and died in combat four years ago. She has been raising her son Mike all on her own. Lydia is a dancer and teaches other women how to do aerobic dancing. She sends her son Mike on the farm with her parents in Minnesota. She goes to a bar with a friend, and meets a man with Dave's eyes; which were silver and very rare. Even though he looks different from her husband, she assumes he is back from the dead. One kiss turns into a endless night a steamy passion that gets the blood pumping.  Lydia is utterly confused, despite the passionate nights they share, she wonders who this strange man is. She assumed its either Dave reincarnated or Dave sent this man to her. She aches for love again, and she knows that she is falling for Finn, despite his chauvenistic ways.
This is definitely an loveable read, that every romance reader will thoroughly enjoy. I have always loved reading Time Travel, and I have equally fallen in love with this one. Especially since I love reading from Sandra Hill and does amazing Viking stories. Here is a adventure you never want to miss out on. With a man who is a fighting Viking from the 11th century, who is taken to the future and has to learn to cope with modern women, that would most likely cut him to pieces if he calls them "wench" too many times. However with Lydia, he treats her differently then all the other women that he has met through the SEAL team. He treats her with more respect and tenderness than he does with anyone else. Lydia see's a side of him, that is hidden beneath his rough exterior. Lydia falls in love with Finn, and when she finds out that he wants to join the SEAL team, she is broken inside, not knowing if she can live with another military man once more especially one that she has fallen in love with. Finn is insisting that all they have is sensual passion, that he could never love a woman and Lydia goes about to prove him wrong and make him fall in love with her. I truly was captivated by this story and the characters within it. This is the first of the Viking II series that I have read, which is her time travel viking series. I really loved everything about this book, I was laughing throughout the whole of the book, due to the circumstances of which Finn and Lydia are put in. There is a heated passion that develops between the two that really sets the room ablaze. And a love that expands through time and space. Definitely a keeper!

My Review:

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, from the moment that I picked this up and looked at the cover I knew I was going to enjoy reading The Care And Feeding of Pirates I haven't had the chance to read many books from Jennifer Ashley but I have read the other books in the series in the past, and definitely looked forward to Honoria's story. It starts out with Honoria imagining or thinking that she is imagining seeing her dead husband, Christopher Raine, who was hanged for pirating. Four years previous, they spent one night together; ironically the night before he was to be hanged and was married before she thought he had died. Honoria desperately loved Christopher and a part of her died with him that day. To the present day, no one knows of her marriage to Christopher apart from herself and she intends to keep it that way. Until someone she leasts expects to show up in her life. She is currently engaged to a respectable man, and although she knows she will never love or care for him as she had Christopher she knows she needs to get married. However, Christopher shows up in her bedroom, upon which she demands answers from him. The main question was how could he be alive after all these years? Before she gets her answer though, her sister-n-law interrupts and is shocked to find that a woman she considers a sister is actually married to a man her husband and Honoria's brothers despises and is his enemy. Christopher is on a search hunt for his sister whom he hasn't been able to find for years; but thinks he is close to finding her. Christopher takes Honoria along with him on the search. Once they find her however, Honoria is duty bound to stay by her husband's side. Although she knows the pain is too great to love him, the passion builds up between them again that is far too great to resist.

I found this to be a story that I could laugh and cry and just let out a frustrating sigh with this pair: Christopher and Honoria. Despite their desire for one another, Christopher loves to order Honoria about and Honoria of course doesn't tolerate it well. Honoria does everything she can to purely irritate him at first so he will want to get rid of her. Honoria knew she could never truly live with a man she could never love. So Christopher goes about his own alpha male way to show her true love once more. There were a few minor things that I disliked about the book, such as the way the dialogue was. It just seemed to me to be so similar between Christopher and Honoria; very similiar scenes for the most part. However, this is such a truly adventurous read with witty come backs, passionate desire that will fog up the windows, and a adventure that will take you across great distances. I fell in love with both of the characters as well as secondary characters. Jennifer Ashley has truly written a magical story that will enter into your heart, and take you back in time with pirates, and hunting for treasure and a true love that conquers all! Its definitely one I wouldn't want to miss out on reading!
