Book Review-The Admiral's Bride

The Admiral's Bride
Tall, Dark and Dangerous Series
Suzanne Brockmann
Mira, 297 Pages,
Published 1999
Suspense/ Contemporary Romance
ISBN: 0-7783-2291-2

Synnopsis
His Mission
When six canisters of a lethal nerve agent are stolen from a military testing lab, Admiral Jake Robinson must recover the chemicals -- by any means necessary. He defies convention and decides to infiltrate the compound where religious fanatics have stored the deadly toxin.

His Partner
Dr. Zoe Lange is a biological warfare specialist and an expert in espionage. Zoe agrees to assist Jake on the case, and, posing as husband and wife, they manage to gain access to the compound. But Jake fears his instant attraction to Zoe might compromise the mission.

His Crisis
Their marriage may be a hoax, but Jake's growing feelings for Zoe are anything but make-believe. With each hour he's in Zoe's company, the stakes get higher, the game more real. And the dangers within the compound escalate out of control.

Now everything is on the line.

My Review:
This is the first book that I have read of this series, even though its number 7 LOL, well I don't always read books in the order of the series. Sometimes I just grab a book because it sounds like something I would enjoy reading. I just grabbed this book off of the library shelf, because I love reading from Suzanne Brockmann, and the Synopsis sounded intriguing to me.
You have a Navy Seal Admiral, who has been in the Navy for 30 years or so. In his 50's he is a strong, virile man who has lost his beloved wife three years previous. Then comes along Dr. Zoe Lange who is much younger than he is. However, sparks of attraction fly between them that surprise the both of them. Even though they have a mission and a job to do! There are six canisters of a dangerous agent missing, and if they are released to the public many lives will be at risk. So knowing who stole them, they must infiltrate the compound and take back or destroy the chemical agent. So Jake infiltrates the compound, trying to gain the leader's trust. The plan is to make it seem as if he and Zoe fall madly in love and get married, so that she can properly manage the chemical agent. However despite their playacting, they both know that real emotions are involved. Even though Jake knows that Zoe is way too young for him, sometimes matters of the heart don't take into consideration the matter of age. As stakes grow higher and higher, so does their love and the passionate embraces.

I definitely enjoyed reading "The Admira'l's Bride", it was a thrilling and exciting adventure, filled with heated embraces, tender moments, and a thrilling plot and I kept thinking to myself "Oh no, something bad is going to happen, something that isn't part of the original plan," I loved how Brockmann, had the complexity in the relationship of the age difference. That age sometimes doesn't matter when your in love. I found that Zoe and Jake had much in common, for they both have had to go on missions that were top secret, and both have strong independent personalities, but are able to work as a team to get the job done. Despite their feelings for one another, it doesn't endanger their mission, almost anyway. It was such a poignant story, to see how both Zoe and Jake draw closer together despite the danger that is circling around them. It was a well written and genuine plot that captivated my attention from the first page. And who can resist an stud super SEAL, I know I couldn't. I have to say that this is a page turner 100% and I couldn't put it down, another 5 for Suzanne Brockmann!!

Lusting For Covers (4)

Lusting For Covers is a meme found on TBQ, that allows blogger's to share their current cover obsession.  Here's what you do:

1- Take the graphic (left) to use on your post. Remember to give credit to the original host (TBQ).

2- Choose your own book cover that you've fallen in "lust" with in the past week. It can be new, old, a reprint, or even a book that is not yet out-- it's all up to you! If you find a cover that catches your eye, then showcase it on your blog, and let others see the pretty covers out there.
3- Copy the direct link to your own L4C post into the comment section on my post (when in doubt, use this link and then scroll down to find the post), and allow others to come and see what you picked! (OPTIONAL):

4- Besides posting the picture of the book cover you chose, it's nice to provide the book summary, title, author, or a website link for the book. It's not required, but it can help you readers' to add more books to their own list! A brief "Why I choose this cover" is also appreciated, but not required.
=========================================
Here is my current cover obsession:

He has but to raise a brow and all accede to his wishes; Gilles d'Argent alone rules Hawkwatch Castle. The formidable baron considers love to be a jongleur's game-till he meets the beguiling Emma. With hair spun of gold and eyes filled with intelligence, she binds him to her. Her innocence stolen away in the blush of youth, Emma Aethelwin no longer believes in love. Reconciled to her life as a penniless weaver, she little expects to snare the attention of Gilles d'Argent. At first Emma denies the tenderness of the warrior's words and the passion he stirs within her. But as desire weaves a tangible web around them, the resulting pattern tells a tale of love, and she dares to dream that she can be the lady of his heart as he is the master of hers.

Now she must rely on Nicolas Trevane - a dangerous warrior sent to track her down and protect her. Together they generate a scorching heat Dahlia never imagined was possible. But can she trust this man with her secrets -- especially when some people would kill to get their hands on them?

My Review:
Its always such a pleasure to read from Christine Feehan, of course this is my second time reading this series. I read the first in the series "Shadow Game" and now I have just finished reading "Mind Game" and what a wild crazy ride that turned out to be. Nicolas Trevane has volunteered to go and find Dahlia Le Blanc, who Lily has found. Lily has been searching for all the young girls that her father changed and tormented and then sent out into the world alone. She thinks she has finally found Dahlia who is very powerful in a psychic way. Dahlia has had to live in isolation most of her life, because she has no anchor for all the emotions that bombarde her mind; especially anger which can send her into seizures if she isn't careful. Dahlia also goes on missions for NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigation ) She has just returned when she finds that those that raised her are dead, and one of her few friends Jesse Calhoun is being tortured for information to find her. Dahlia remains hidden, but stricken at the sight. Then she meets Nicolas who saves  and conceals her from the enemy. Dahlia has no idea how to react around this strong capable yet psychic man. Dahlia is afraid that he will get hurt because of her. Since it has happened to her whenever she has gotten close to someone. Together they join forces, for they are on the run from people who are hunting Dahlia to destroy her and her only protection is Nicolas, who is highly trained and a professional. But beneath that exterior that they have built between them a explosive passion builds between them, one they can't explain and have never experienced. In the midst of it all, both Nicolas and Dahlia find relief in one another's arms.  But there is still a mission to be carried out and with the help of the Ghostwalkers, Dahlia and Nicolas just might succeed if they work together as a unit.

Ever since I read the first novel from Christine Feehan, I fell in love with her writing and capabilities to protray stories that evoke such raw emotions as she does in "Mind Game". A couple weeks ago I just had the urge to re-read the Ghostwalker Series all over again, especially since I love this series. I absolutely adored Dahlia, she has such a inner strength and fortitude. She is contantly feeling pain under the stress of all the emotional energy that attacks her constantly. Its rare for her to find relief apart from when she sleeps. But when she meets Nicolas and the other Ghostwalkers, she finds for the first time in her life relief from all the energy and a way to learn to focus it. A task that has never been accomplished. Nicolas, is the perfect Alpha Male, arrogant, strong, capable, and loves to be in command and in control. Of course he has met his match with Dahlia, who also has to be in control. They go head to head a few times in the book, which was very satisfyingly enjoyable!!! I loved the way that the characters interacted, the bantering, the passions that ignite, and a thrilling supsenseful plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat and aching for more. I had no problems with reading "Mind Game" Its definitely one of those that I can re-read over and over, and one you will never be disappointed in reading.

Book Review- Shadower

Shadower
Shielder(2)
Catherine Spangler
Love Spell,
362 Pages,
Published December 2000
Futuristic Romance
ISBN: 0-505-52424-4

Synopsis:
Sabin has been in every hellhole in the galaxy. In his line of work, hives of scum and villainy are nothing to fear. But Giza's is different, and the bronze-haired beauty at the bar is something special. Not only can she sweep a man off his feet, she can break his legs--and steal his heart. And though Moriah isn't what Sabin had come for, she is suddenly all he desires. The man is a menace, what with his dark good looks and overwhelming masculinity. Worse, Sabin is a shadower, a bounty hunter, which means he is only one step removed from the law. He is dangerous to a smuggler like Moriah, to her freedom. Yet he draws her as a moth to a flame, and even as she pledges to stay cool, her senses catch fire. Then, in his arms, Moriah realizes that this bounty hunter is different. His touch is gentle, and his kiss sweet. And his love leads to a fantastic freedom she's never known.

My Review:
I have loved reading this series, its the first futuristic romantic series that I have read, and I am definitely looking forward to reading the rest of the series. Moriah, grew up with no freedoms of her own, and had to learn to take care of herself and her younger sister Celie. When she is free from her father and a man he sold her to that used her for his own pleasures, she sets up a small colony of women. But she knows she has to find a way to support them. Which is where she ends up meeting Sabin. Sabin finds himself at Giza's, a hellhole of a bar. Where he comes face to face with Moriah, who is a dark red haired beauty. When a fight breaks out, with Mariah in the middle, and he saves her life and heals her wounds on his ship, she is far from grateful. All Mariah can think about is the smuggling deal that has to go through no matter the cost. Sabin doesn't trust Mariah, any futher than he can throw her. But as they journey together, passions between them ignite, and despite the fact that Mariah has despised the sexual act, there is a sensual fire that flames up that she can't bother to deny. But there is a secret about Sabin's life work that may tear apart what they have built.

I truly loved this book, there were so many times that I laughed the whole way through. Both characters Sabin and Mariah are stubborn to a fault, and too much alike that tempers flare out without the slightest provocation. It was enjoyable to see how they slowly get drawn together, despite the danger and intrigue that surrounds them. From the first page to the last page, I was thoroughly entertained. There were a few moments, where I got frustrated with the dialogue, since there were moments in the book that seemed too similiar. But other than that, I truly enjoyed this book, it was well written, with witty dialogue between Sabin and Moriah. The passion of course was very heated and will make your reading glasses fog up!!! I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Book Review- Duke Of Sin

Duke Of Sin
Duke Series
Adele Ashworth
Avon, 373 Pages,
Published Nov 2004
Victorian Historical Romance
ISBN: 0-06-052840

Synopsis
He is called the "Duke of Sin"

... a notorious rogue and recluse whose reputation is as black as the Cornish night. They speak of his conquests, his past, and his mysteries in breathless whispers. And now lovely and desperate Vivian Rael-Lamont has no choice but to enter William Raleigh's lair.

Vivian prayed that the scandal that drove herfrom London would never be revealed -- but now she will be exposed to the world ... unless William can protect her. She has heard the rumors about the infamous Duke of Sin, yet she is unprepared for the man's raw, sensuous power ... or for the traitorous response of her own body. Surrender, however, could prove most dangerous indeed -- for both of them. For while the duke is intrigued by the guarded, intoxicating lady who has invaded his solitude -- and fully intends to discern her every secret through sweet, unhurried seduction -- it is his own heart that will be imperiled when passion takes them farther than he ever intended.

My Review:
This is the second time that I have read The Duke Of Sin, of course its been years. So when I saw this, I just had to pick it up again and start reading it. I love reading from Adele Ashworth, her books are always filled with characters that captivate the heart and with a tender love that develops between the two characters, that I find myself aching for the same kind of love.

Vivien Dael Lamont is a thirty five year old woman, who is legally seperated from her husband. Her husband is a opium user and she paid him alot of money so she could build a life for herself. She builds up a respectable floral business. One day, her world comes crashing down all around her. A actor by the name of Gilbert Montague, blackmails her saying he has evidence of proof that she is not the widow that she has told everyone else. That she is in fact still married, and that she and her husband decided on a legal separation. But he is willing to hand over the evidence, if she will retrieve a sonnet of Shakespeare's from none other than the Duke of Trent.  She goes to the Duke of Sin with a proposition, knowing she can't tell him the truth behind her really wanting the document. They come to a agreement that he will give it over, if she pays him with herself as a companion to him. Vivien knows that she has no choice, so she says yes. William, the Duke of Trent, doesn't trust Vivien or her reasons behind wanting the Sonnet. So he hires a private investigator, who finds out that there was a stranger that came to her home, and who had never come there before. So he sends a couple men after him, to follow him so that they can discover the mystery. Even though William, has been rumored to have murdered his wife, Vivien comes to a knowledge after getting to know him that he could never murder anyone. Although William guards himself, since he strongly suspects that she is hiding something from him, even so he finds that his defenses are faltering and that he is falling in love with her. As their bond strengthen, and the passion and love builds, there is a danger that will sneak upon them both and strengthen everything that they hold dear.

It been years since I have read this book, and I only remembered how well I love the story and how well written it was. I love most of the aspect of the story, except for the fact that Vivien is still married. Although that certain situation is resolved, but I am picky about love stories like that. That was my only problem with the book though, other than that I truly was endeared to this book. There was such a sensual feeling throughout the whole book, that set my senses on fire. There was also such a tender love that develops between the two. I found myself wanting more after each page, and looking forward to each page. It was definitely a book that I could hardly put down, so I am looking forward to read the rest of the series.

Book Review- Vamps And The City

Vamps And The City
Love At Stake(2)
Kerrelyn Sparks
Avon,
387 pages,
Published May 2006
Vampire Romance
ISBN: 0060752017

Synopsis:
Who says a vamp can't have it all?

Darcy Newhart thought it was a stroke of genius -- the first-ever reality TV show where mortals vie with vampires for the title of The Sexiest Man on Earth. As the show's director, Darcy's career would be on track again. And she can finally have a life apart from the vampire harem. Okay, so she's still technically dead, but two out of three's not bad. Now she just has to make sure that a mortal doesn't win. If only she wasn't so distracted by a super-sexy and live contestant named Austin...

But Darcy doesn't know the worst of it. Austin Erickson is actually a vampire slayer! And he's got his eye on the show's leggy blond director. Only problem is, he's never wanted any woman -- living or dead -- as badly. But if he wins her heart, will he lose his soul? And if it means an eternity of hot, passionate loving with Darcy, does that really matter anyway?

My Review:
Austin Erickson is a agent in the CIA, and he works for Sean Whealan, Shanna's Father who is determined to free his daughter. Sean thinks his daughter is captive against her will by vampires including the love of her life. Austin is part of the team that goes after vampires, determined to destroy every one of them. Shanna and Roman's wedding is coming up, and her father is going balistic over the news. He desperately wants his daughter back. On stake out one night, orders from Sean to try to see where his daughter is at, he see's the most beautiful and captivating woman he has ever seen. He suspects that because she looks so human, that she couldn't possibly be a vampire. Austin has psychic abilities and knows that the other women that surround her are vampires.
Darcy Newhart, has been a part of a vampire harem, four years previous she was turned vampire when she almost died. She has desperately wanted to be human once more, she despises being a vampire. She wants to feel the warmth of the sun again, and to see her family once more. So she comes up with a plan to seperate herself from the vampire harem (filled with self consuming women that she gets frustrated easily with) so she comes up with a plan to have the first reality TV show where mortals go against vampires for the sexiest man on Earth. Darcy, the show's director, will have her career back on track again once more. She then meets one of the human canidates, Austin Erickson. She finds herself being entranced by his handsome "Apollo" good looks and charm. As the show continues one, their attraction strengthens between them. Austin has doubts whether or not she is a vampire, since her thoughts are never of drinking blood or killing humans. Its more about the sun, beaches, and things that relate to life during the day. However, Austin finds himself falling in love with Darcy, and when he finds out who she really is, he is more confused than ever. He knows he could never kill her no matter what, for he loves her too deeply. He has never wanted or needed anyone as badly as he does Darcy.

I really have enjoyed reading Vamps and the City I really love reading from Kerrelyn Sparks, she is such a talented writer, especially of Vampire Romances. This story was truly a delight, and I am glad that I finally got my hands on it. It was definitely a "Roller Coaster", filled with ups and downs between the couple. You have Darcy, who hates being a vampire, finds herself falling for Austin, a mortal, who when she finds out who he really is, a man bent on destroying vampires, starts wondering if despite what she is feeling, does he feel the same? and will he really kill her? Austin on the other hand is more confused than ever, and is at a loss at what to do. He hunts vampires and seeks them out to kill them, since he believes all of them are evil. Then he falls for Darcy, whom at first he assumes is human as he is, and might need help escaping from all the vampires. When he finds out she is a vampire, he is confused and the only thing he knows for sure is how much he loves her. Vamps and the City is a intense love story, that is filled with conflict and mystery, that creates a sense of intrigue that sets the heart a stutter, and leaves you wanting more and turning one page after another as fast as you can read them. I definitely was on my seat from beginning to end, wondering how it was going to end. I definitely loved the ending, it was perfect! There were some minor things that I didn't agree with, but overall it was a genuinely well written story that charmed my heart.

Whom can she trust? But as Rachael's past looms as oppressively as the heat of the forest, and as Rio unleashes the secret animal instincts that course through his blood, Rachael fears that her isolated haven has become an inescapable hell...

My Review:
Wild Rain is the second in the Leopard series, and one that once I had finished felt deeply satisfied. I It is my favorite among the series so far, it was a intense but tender love story between two people that find themselves drawn into a suspenseful plot that will send them both fighting for their lives.

Rachel Lospostos, is a young woman where life has been unjustly cruel to her, and those that she has come to care for. Rachael's parents were killed when she was young, and she and her brother were left with their cold-blooded uncle. Her uncle forced her brother to do horrific actions at the threat of her life. Elijah (Rachael's Brother) then kills a friend of hers, in front of her, although Rachael hadn't realized it at the moment, that friend was planning on killing her, for he worked for her uncle. Elijah, however never told her the truth, and after the incident, Rachael stages her death, and created a new identity, hoping to flee from a assassin that hunts her. Thousands of miles from home, away from all that she knows, she heads into a rain forest, with threats out there unknown to her. She assumed Elijah is the one that has sent men after her to kill her. She aches for her brother, knowing all that he had done in the past, was for her. She loves him all the same, knowing what he has turned into. On a journey with a group of people being guided through the forest by Kim Pang, who has great knowledge of the area. They are then ambushed by a group of bandits, Rachael barely escapes with her life in the river. She then finds herself sanctuary. Rio is of the Leopard species, where he can turn from being human to leopard in a moment. He has been shunned from his people from a previous error in his past. He lives alone, apart from two leopards whom he found abandoned and as babies. He cares for them, and even though Leopards are solitary creatures, they continually stay with him. Rio is part of a group of Leopard shifters, who  undergo missions where they rescue humans and bring them to safety among the rain forest, since there are many dangers to be found there. As he drifts toward his home, he senses a stranger within its realms, and goes on high alert fully intending to destroy whoever has laid a trap for him. Rachael finds herself being attacked within the old hut that she has found sanctuary, by none other than the mysterious and captivating Rio. After Rio realizes his mistake, and at first he never trust Rachael, but there is something about her that captures his attention. Rachael now badly injured, finds herself in the care of the one who attacked her. His name is Rio, and at first glance he seems dangerous and wild as the forest around them. But as time goes one, and he tends to her gently, she see's a side of him she would have never suspected. Rachael is drawn toward this mysterious creature, whom she seems to share a deep connection with. Rachael comes to the knowledge that Rio is a lot more than just a man, but there is a animal hidden beneath the human exterior. As Rachael past comes to haunt her, they are both faced with a bleak future of being on the run, although they have each other. Rachael is discovering something about herself, something that she has never felt before and is learning to adjust to a new life among the 'Wild Rain'.

I definitely enjoyed reading Rachael and Rio's captivating story, it seems to enthrall me to the point that I could hardly put this book down. The characters were portrayed so well, it was as if I was drawn into the rain forest myself among the trees, humidity, and the wild nature. I was taken on a wild adventure through the rain forest, where passion, instinct and a deep love abides. As Rachael starts to heal from her wounds, their passionate feelings for one another grow until they are both thrown into a climatic sensual ride. Even though there are many that hunt them both, they manage to stay alive and ahead of the hunters. A deep tender lover grows between both Rachael and Rio, that they are unable to resist. I found myself falling in love with Rachael and Rio, but for me both characters have had pasts that were Hell on Earth, and despite all the dangers that surround them, they end up finding a sensual heaven amidst it all. This is definitely one of my favorites from Christine Feehan's writings. Its filled with the perfect mixture of sensual passion, witty conversation, and a thrilling adventure that will knock your socks off!!

My Review:
Bride Enchanted was surprisingly enchanting, and definitely a book I am glad that I have had the opportunity to read. With Edith Layton sometimes I get drawn into the stories, and there are times where I have a hard time staying with it. Thankfully this was one of those, that I was completely drawn into, and captivated by the characters, and the plot was utterly satisfying. It begins with Eve Faraday, who is a beautiful woman, but has never had many suitors. Eve thinks she is not that enticing, and has doubts of when she will marry; that she might have to settle. Then one evening, the most compelling and gorgeous man she has ever seen asks her to dance twice in one evening. Eve is totally beside herself with shock. She has no idea what Aubrey see's in her. Eve knows there are many more women that he could choose that would be more beautiful and more smart. However, there is a reason why Aubrey chooses Eve, not the least of which is she is not as compelled by him and enthralled as every other person is. Aubrey is a member of a species that has been told in folklore, but is really known as one of the 'older ones'. Aubrey has special powers, and to mos humans, are enthralled by his mere presence. Eve is the only one that see's through it, and keeps logic and sense without being completely enthralled by him. For Aubrey, his race is dying, and he believes if he marries Eve, that she will be able to conceive his children. Aubrey conceals the true reason that he marries her. Once Eve finds out the real truth about Aubrey and his people, will she flee from him or will she decide to stay by his side and love him forever? I won't spoil it for you, but I will say I was definitely pleased by the ending.

I definitely enjoyed reading this book, it definitely drew me in. I have only read a few of Layton's book, and this is the first one that has the Paranormal genre within it. I definitely enjoyed having Aubrey being of another species, and I loved the aspect that he would never use his powers on Eve, unless she asked for it. How even though Eve at first is enthralled by his looks, see's through it with sense, and see's him for who he really is. Its truly a magical story that from beginning to end, is a journey of passion, love and a magic that surpasses time and will capture your heart.

Book Review-Dark Prince

Dark Prince
The Dark Series- Carpathians # 1
Christine Feehan
Leisure Books,
314 Pages,
Published April 2005
Paranormal Vampire Romance
ISBN: 0843955287
Synopsis:
He came to her in the night, a predator -- strength and power chiseled his features. The seduction was deep and elemental; he affected her soul. His need. His darkness. His terrible haunting loneliness. Her senses aroused, she craved the dangerous force of his body. Burned for him. And he had only touched her with his mind.

She came to him at dawn, his bleakest hour. As the beast raged inside him, threatening to consume him, he vented his centuries-old despair in an anguished cry that filled the waning night. And she answered, a ray of light, piercing his darkness. A beautiful angel. Her compassion, courage, and innocence awakened in him an exquisite longing and tenderness. He knew he must possess her, for only she could tame his savage side and lift the dark shadow from his soul. Apart they were desolate, bereft. Intertwined physically and spiritually, they could heal one another and experience an eternity of nights filled with love.

My Review:

First off I want to talk about the cover, I absolutely adore the older covers more than Feehans more modernized cover for Dark Prince. This cover show more sensuality and connection between Raven and Mikail. I have always chosen to listen to Dark Prince, since my local library has most of the Carpathian Series on Audio form, and I prefer it that way. It is read by Juanita Parker, which she has such a great way about her in that she portrays the emotions so well. The story literally comes alive for you as you listen to it. I strongly recommend listening to this in Audio form, you won't regret it.

It starts out with Mikael who has lived hundred of years, and is a Carpathian. Carpathians are very different than vampire although they have similarities, but the big difference is that Carpathians are good, and Vampires are evil and have no soul.  Mikael is the prince of his people, who are a dying race, with not many Carpathian women around, and with only sons being born to the women they are literally going extinct. Once during the time of the Crusades, many of their people defended the humans that were being threatened but in doing so many of them were slaughtered, since they become weak during the day. Some of the Carpathians were able to flee and escape. Those included in the slaughterings were Mikael's parents, his father being the leader of his people. Mikael has always taken huge responsibilities on his shoulders. In present day, he is tired and exhausted and wants to seek the sun and end his existence. Without a life-mate, he fears the darkness within him with take over his soul and he will turn into a vampire. He refuses to let that happen. However, when he is feeling desolate, he hears a womanly voice in his head comforting him. He is amazed to find that it is a mortal woman, and he seeks her out. Raven has always had psychic abilities, she comes to the Carpathian Mountains to find peace, she has recently hunted three killers using her psychic ability. She feels drained and at a loss. She is in pain when another touches her physically, and she yearns for solitude and peace among the beautiful Carpathian Mountains. However, hearing Mikaels bleakness she calls out to him, offering aide, knowing she couldn't refuse doing so. Upon talking with Mikael she finds him arrogant and Alpha Male 100% all the way, but she can't refuse him. Upon seeing him, a connection surges between them and neither one of them can resist. Raven is Mikael's life-mate, he starts seeing colors, when for hundreds of years he has only seen in grey. He also starts feeling emotions again, which are clear signs in finding one's life-mate. A journey begins, with Mikael and Raven finding their way, making mistakes along the way, but finding true love and a sensual passion that neither one of them can control or deny.

The Carpathian series, is my up most favorite paranormal series of all time. It always has been since I have started reading from Christine Feehan. The first book I read from her was Dark Challenge, which is my favorite in the series. However, I really have fallen in love with Dark Prince, I have loved reading Mikael and Raven's story. I have fallen in love with both characters. Mikael is typical Alpha Male (Which I love) and he is the leader of his people, and at the beginning of the book is very arrogant and believes everything he says is law. However upon meeting Raven, he finds himself at odds, having met the one person who has no problems with arguing with him, much less a woman. No one ever argues with him, apart from his best friend Gregori who has been at his side since they were young. Raven has lived in solitude most of her life, except when she hunted the killers. But ever since she was little, she has been despised for her gift. Once she comes to the Carpathian Mountains, and meeting Mikael, who is the one person whose touch doesn't cause her pain but pleasure and the likes of which she has never known. It has truly been a pleasure to listen to Dark Prince I can never get bored with Feehan's books I could read her over and over again. I truly loved the characters, the plot and the witty come backs in the conversations, also there was some suspense and mystery has well toward the end, which definitely made it a astounding and enthralling read.

Today’s MUSING MONDAYS:

Do you have to carve out time in your day for reading (due to work and other obligations), or does your reading just happen naturally? (Question courtesy of MizB)

Well as of right now I just have a part time job, so for the most part I have plenty of time to read.  Of Course no matter how busy my day gets, I always find time to read a good book. Being able to read is a passion of mine, and anything that is really important in life is worth taking time out of our day for it. I love books and I love to read!!!! m

Lusting For Covers (3)

Lusting for Covers is a weekly meme, held on Sunday, that allows bloggers to share their current cover obsession with fellow book lovers.Hosted by TBQ

About Englands Perfect Hero:
Lucinda is the last of three friends who agreed to turn the tables on London's most incorrigible rakes. But love is the farthest thing from her mind.

With her two best friends happily married, Lucinda Barrett realizes she can no longer put off her lessons in love. The rogue she hopes to educate must be someone who will keep her life steady and uneventful -- and that someone is definitely not Robert Carroway! The handsome, brooding war hero is far too complicated, and he shuns London society and its "trivialities." Still, it is a pleasant surprise when Robert offers to assist Lucinda in her mission to reform and wed a more suitable nobleman. Now if only she can resist the sensuous allure of Robert's astoundingly blue eyes -- and his intense inner fire that leaves her breathless. Lucinda wants a husband, not a passionate, irresistible lover who could shake her world with one deep, lingering kiss. And her heart is telling her that this man could be the most dangerous, disastrous...and exhilarating love she will ever know.
