Lusting For Covers (2)

Lusting for Covers is a weekly meme, held on Sunday, that allows bloggers to share their current cover obsession with fellow book lovers.Hosted by TBQ

Here's what you do:

1- Take the graphic (left) to use on your post. Remember to give credit to the original host (TBQ).

2- Choose your own book cover that you've fallen in "lust" with in the past week. It can be new, old, a reprint, or even a book that is not yet out-- it's all up to you! If you find a cover that catches your eye, then showcase it on your blog, and let others see the pretty covers out there.

3- Copy the direct link to your own L4C post into the comment section on my post (when in doubt, use this link and then scroll down to find the post), and allow others to come and see what you picked! (OPTIONAL):

4- Besides posting the picture of the book cover you chose, it's nice to provide the book summary, title, author, or a website link for the book. It's not required, but it can help you readers' to add more books to their own list! A brief "Why I choose this cover" is also appreciated, but not required.

Here is my current craving for the week:

A DESPERATE MEASURE

Helena Laverick is at her wits end! The only man who can help find her eloping young sister is that scoundrel Daniel Brennan -- the man who played with her emotions last year and then left. And he used to be a smuggler! Although Mrs. Nunley's Guide to Etiquette for Young Ladieswould never approve, Helena forced to go after the runaway in Daniel's company. But something about being with him feels oddly freeing -- and a delicious tingle warns Helena that more than her reputation may be in danger...

Daniel finds most of the prim and proper lovely's rules ridiculous -- but when she insists on masquerading as his wife for the sake of appearances, he immediately envisions the delights of sharing a bedchamber. The unexpected smoldering beneath her straitlaced exterior ignites his desire, and die vulnerability hidden beneath her cool control makes him want her even more. Yet Helena's a lady, and he's the son of a highwayman. How can he ever ask her to share his world?

  2. So sorry that I'm a week behind on leaving a comment-- life has been... busy, to say the least.

First, a (belated) thanks for participating in this week's L4C. :)

I love Sabrina Jefferies historicals-- they were actually one of the first romance novels I was introduced to, and from there my interest spread like wild fire!

I always like seeing the "older" covers like this--- it's nice to compare them to the newer ones, and see how the trends have changed.

Love this cover, and I have to second EH's comment: it is one "smokin" cover! :D

    Enjoy!
